HP: I was doing all sorts of things at Hogwarts

Chapter 80 With Cedric

Avro sat in the prefect's box and learned about the prefect's responsibilities with several other prefects.

She held 'Lucky' in her arms, but she was still a little uninterested.

The prefects of Hogwarts are selected among fifth, sixth and seventh grade students every school year, one boy and one girl from each house. Above the prefects, there is also a student chairperson, who is selected among seventh-grade students. There are only two chairpersons in the school, one male and one female.

Percy was a prefect in fifth and sixth years, and president of students in seventh year.

The prefect of boys in Slytherin was Jason Fowler, a sixth-year student. He greeted Aphra politely, and the two sat next to each other.

Cedric is a prefect of Hufflepuff. He is in his sixth year and this is his second year as a prefect.

Avro smiled at him, and Cedric smiled back at her.

There was also a familiar face that Aphra recognized here, Qiu Zhang from Ravenclaw, and the two of them greeted politely.

The eight people sat in the prefect's box, feeling embarrassed and speechless for a while. They each looked at the parchment in their hands without much communication.

In the end, it was Cedric who took the initiative to stir up the conversation and acted as the moderator of the atmosphere. He was the only one who had experience as a prefect. Then everyone started talking politely and chatting.

Avro was uninterested and kept silent. Normally, she would be able to answer questions and play both sides.

Cedric raised his eyebrows and said, "Aphro, let's go out for a patrol - everyone works in pairs, changing shifts."

"?" Slytherin's Jason looked down at the green badge on his chest, but didn't say anything after all.

However, why can’t they be paired together in the round?

"You go ahead," Hufflepuff's prefect said considerately, "I'm not ready yet."

Only then did Avro recognize this girl. She was the girl who asked her about her relationship with Cedric before. Her name was—what was it?

"Thank you, Candice," Cedric said gratefully.

Ah yes, Candice Aykent.

Avro nodded, "Then I'll go first."

Candice watched the two leave with a relaxed expression. She was just a person she couldn't get. She could only say that he was not the right person for her, and the next one would be better.

Avro and Cedric were walking in the aisle. The space was a bit tight and they were very close to each other.

Cedric lowered his head and stared at Lucky in Aphra's arms, "Why did you bring Wood's pet? Didn't you bring your own pet?"

"Oliver went out to play and didn't have time to take care of it, so I took care of it for a while... I didn't bring my own owl."

Avro forced a smile, and her expression dimmed when she mentioned Oliver.

Cedric naturally noticed the disappointment in her tone and guessed that something unpleasant might have happened between them.

"Do you like animals?" Cedric changed the subject.

"It's okay," Avro laughed, remembering the first time she met Lucky. "I found this little guy. Although it was caught in the rain, I think it must look good, so I just wanted to see more.”

"So, you are still a beauty control?"

"Of course, who doesn't like good looks?" Avro raised an eyebrow.

"So among the boys at Hogwarts, who do you think is more in line with your aesthetics?"

Avro smiled half-heartedly, "Among the girls at Hogwarts, it seems that the person in front of me is the one with the highest evaluation."

"What do you think of the person in front of me?" Cedric asked with a smile.

"I think--"

Cedric stopped and stared at Aphra with his affectionate eyes.

"I think..." Avro trembled her eyelashes, "What they said is true. Diggory is indeed handsome and a gentleman. In Hogwarts, Cedric Diggory is second in rank. People dare to be ranked first.”

Cedric felt happy when he heard the satisfactory answer. He couldn't suppress the smile on his lips, and he looked full of joy.

'Lucky' meowed, and Avro thought of the wooden boy who went to France again.

Cedric raised his eyebrows, thinking about replacing it sooner or later.

"Afro."

"Huh?" Aphra's heart skipped a beat again, and she came back to her senses when she heard Cedric calling her.

"You're staying with the top boy at Hogwarts, and you're still distracted."

Cedric joked about the title he received, and at the same time slightly expressed his dissatisfaction with Aphra, which was a bit coquettish.

Avro pursed her lips and smiled, "Okay, okay, I don't dare, so as not to make Mr. Diggory unhappy... Just speak, I'm listening."

She blinked Oliver out of her mind.

After making the rounds, Aphra no longer wanted to go back to the prefects' box, so she told Cedric that she wanted to stay with Draco and the others.

Seeing Aphra naturally walking into the box where Malfoy was, sitting next to him as a matter of course, and accepting his small physical contact, Cedric felt mixed emotions.

Thinking of that meeting in the Room of Requirement, Cedric felt sour and sweet.

There were too many boys around Avro, and even though two were gone, there were still too many to make him unhappy.

Cedric lowered his eyes. He had to try. Even if she didn't like him, she at least had the courage to try.

……

When they arrived at Hogwarts, everyone sat and waited for a while before welcoming the freshmen branch. Avro propped her chin and stared at the freshmen on the stage seriously.

As soon as there was a new student in Slytherin, Avro carefully memorized the other person's face and name, then found an empty seat for the other person, shook hands to express welcome, and was very conscientious.

"You look pretty decent, Prefect Greengrass." Draco teased Avro, causing Avro to flick his head. The two of them immediately started to fight, but it was just a bluff. In the eyes of others, it is just flirting and touching.

Cedric took in all this, and the smile on his lips faded and faded.

After the sorting, Avro breathed a sigh of relief, and Dumbledore spoke on the stage.

"I'm sorry to tell you that we will no longer be hosting Quidditch matches this year."

Harry was startled and almost dropped his fork. Fred and George also shouted and expressed their dissatisfaction.

Draco had heard about this and was not surprised.

Aphra didn't care about Quidditch matches, and she didn't like watching them. She only went there because of Draco's matches.

"It's a pity that some people can't see my heroic appearance. It's bad luck."

"...Tsk, I'm tired of watching it every day. I've long wanted to watch it with someone else." Aphro stabbed him, and the two of them went back and forth, talking to each other.

Cedric was still watching them distractedly, wishing he could prick up his ears.

"However, we will host the Triwizard Tournament this year together with Durmstrang and Beauxbatons! We at Hogwarts will be the host."
