Chapter 68.2 Dunois and Delacour (Part 1)

This time, Paul was already silently asking Sky the same question his father often asked. Sora just grinned as he continued to watch the family.

— So who is it who seduces my innocent little sister? — With a proud posture and her hands on her hips, Angelica openly inspected her guest.

Such behavior from the young Dunois often embarrassed men or caused them to react aggressively. The Japanese man, however, showed a completely different reaction than the girl had expected. He looked her straight in the eyes, and Dunois didn't feel the mental shields touching her, but she couldn't help but strike. A volitional effort and the legilimensional stylus struck the man, but immediately disintegrated into shards without reaching the target, without even touching it.

Not believing what had happened, Angelica decided to strike again, this time more seriously, but all she could see was a silvery yellow mist, as if sand had blown the stylus apart and pulverized it.

She felt the pain of the recoil in her temples and winced involuntarily, noticing the barely perceptible grin and the unusual glint in the unusual eyes. Gathering air in her chest to make a loud outcry, the girl froze in surprise — she began to walk around and examine her like an exhibition piece.

Clearly judging her, the Japanese man walked around the girl, making her parents smile, humming and cackling, thoughtfully scrutinizing every detail of her clothes and figure. This had never happened to Angelica before, and the girl simply froze in stunned silence.

Very quickly, however, she came to her senses and became furious, literally roaring. Without thinking of anything but punishment, Angelica tried to hit him hard, but her palm missed the target by millimeters.

The curved fingers and the already dangerous blow could have deeply scratched the offender's face, but it did not happen. The self-defense techniques that young Dunois had been studying for a year also failed due to the unexpected reaction and flexibility of the sneaky Asian.

If the guest's abilities were a revelation to Ludovic and the children, Lucy and Laura had been watching the boy's training for a week. The fact that he could jump, turn and swing the training bar for a couple of hours confirmed the woman's thoughts.

However, she also noticed a certain tension in his training. Her keen eye immediately noticed that Sora was just learning some of the techniques, albeit at an amazing speed. When her daughter grabbed her wand, the woman decided to end the dangerous conversation.

— Anji! Stop it! — Her mother's stern, commanding tone was like a bucket of ice water that instantly cleared her clouded mind.

Angelica immediately turned to her mother, but when she met her mother's steely gaze, she held back. Still, the girl in her twenties was very wary of her mother, and not unreasonably so. Only a month ago, at the Hunt Festival, she had been approached by a Russian sorcerer.

He had come to make some deals with the government, and since he was at the feast, he had decided that he had the right to be not only intrusive, but excessively insolent and defiant. For which he paid with a broken arm, a bunch of small, non-threatening but very unpleasant curses, and unconsciousness.

Angelica realized that she had overreacted, but she didn't want to understand her mother's punishment, which had left her unable to sit up or lie on her back for a few days. At the age of twenty! She would get her revenge on that Jap!
