Humans Shrunk 100 Times

Chapter 84: Capturing Alive

In this room, it was the first time it had truly been invaded. Chen Mu forcefully kept himself calm and pretended to be asleep until the other side made any aggressive moves.

In fact, the distance between the two sides was quite far, so even if Chen Mu made some noise, it wouldn't necessarily alert the intruders. However, he remained cautious, fearing that among them might be someone like Sun Yuan with extraordinary abilities.

The several shadowy figures cautiously explored the surroundings, seemingly wandering aimlessly. They appeared to be drawn to the various exquisite items in the room and almost let out exclamations a few times.

Chen Mu wanted to understand their intentions, so he continued pretending to sleep.

As time passed, he finally managed to get a clear view. There were four people who came, and in the dim moonlight shining through the window, he couldn't see their appearances clearly, but judging from their movements and postures, it should be three men and one woman.

These four individuals sneaked around, sometimes moving out of Chen Mu's sight, but they maintained a certain distance from the two rooms.

After a while, they arrived at a corner of the room.

There, all the food was stored.

Flour, rice, seasonings, and vegetable packs.

Chen Mu didn't wait any longer. He quietly got up from the bed, opened a hole in the wall on the opposite side of the room from the intruders, and swiftly left the room.

He crouched down, moving stealthily, and approached the four intruders.

When they saw the piled-up food on the cart, they became visibly excited. The young woman even let out a soft, suppressed cry, startling her companions and Chen Mu.

The four individuals paused and looked towards the two rooms like statues, waiting for some time to see if they had woken anyone up. After realizing that nobody was disturbed, they finally relaxed.

But just as they turned back, Wei Dalei's snoring suddenly echoed.

This unexpected noise frightened the four people. One of them accidentally bumped into the cart, producing a clattering sound.

Chen Mu was hesitating whether to act alone or not. Initially, he thought about waking everyone up with a loud shout, but he was afraid they might escape. If he didn't capture all of them, he worried there would be repercussions.

His plan was simple: approach them stealthily and tie up all four individuals.

He had become quite adept at this method after dealing with He Ying in the past few days. He could do it from various angles and in different ways, always appearing like a ghost, and He Ying had already been bound so many times that he had lost his temper.

But the commotion around the cart eventually alerted someone.

Chen Mu distinctly heard He Ying shout, "Someone!"

Then Dong Junwei followed with a loud cry, "Da Lei!"

During critical moments, shouting "Da Lei" had already become a consensus among everyone, especially Dong Junwei, who executed this move with great skill.

However, Wei Dalei's reaction was not as quick this time. After all, he had just been snoring, and by the time he was awakened by Qian Fei and the others, more than ten seconds had passed.

Chen Mu knew he couldn't wait any longer, so he had to take action first. As he rushed out, the stainless steel in his hand transformed into a streak, shooting forward.

If the opponent was He Ying, although this move was extremely swift, it could still be resisted to some extent. But the other side clearly lacked He Ying's reflexes and speed, and it seemed their combat experience was also very limited. Before Chen Mu could even get close, they were already in chaos.

As soon as these four people realized they were exposed, they were ready to escape. However, the problem was that the scene was already dimly lit, and with all four of them crowded together, they collided with each other. As a result, not only were they unable to escape, but two of them also fell.

On Chen Mu's side, although he couldn't see the situation on the scene clearly, he remained more composed than the intruders.

Seeing that these four individuals were only concerned about fleeing, it was evident they had little combat experience. The "ropes" in Chen Mu's hand immediately shot towards the person farthest away, effortlessly binding their hands and feet.

The person who was initially running the fastest hesitated upon seeing his companions fall. It seemed he was considering whether to turn back and help them. In that split second, he felt something entangling his feet.

He instinctively tried to escape with a big step, but the next moment, he fell to the ground, and shortly afterward, his hands were also bound.

Due to the dim environment, Chen Mu's strikes were not as precise, and this person was bound in a rather awkward and unsightly manner, limbs twisted in different directions.

Among the remaining three, two had fallen. The young woman among them seemed completely bewildered and sat on the ground, unsure of what to do.

As for the third person, who was trying to stand up, Chen Mu easily tied him up as he approached.

Just then, Chen Mu heard a "pu..." sound.

Clearly, someone had let out a fart.

And the next moment, a foul smell rushed into his nostrils.

It was an indescribable stench, much like the smell of a fart, but far worse than a normal one, simply overwhelming and making people feel dizzy.

Chen Mu covered his nose with his hand, almost gagging from the foul odor, but he managed to force himself to remain composed, thanks to his strong willpower.

Although the stench was overpowering, it didn't last long, and soon dissipated.

The four individuals dealt with three of them.

Chen Mu felt a bit relieved, but just as he let out a sigh of relief, he saw the last person suddenly draw a wooden stick from his waist and thrust it towards him.

He had initially thought that these people were powerless, but he didn't expect the last one to be tough as well. His attack was fierce and accurate, catching Chen Mu off guard.

Fortunately, the sparring sessions with He Ying during this period had been effective. While this person's movements weren't slow, they still couldn't match He Ying's level. It was only this unexpected counterattack that surprised Chen Mu.

Skillfully lifting his shield, part of which was used as a makeshift restraint for the three others, Chen Mu's hand was limited, and the shield's surface area was much smaller than before, but it was still enough to be used effectively.

The person's wooden stick struck the stainless steel shield, but he miscalculated his force, and the intense friction between his palm and the stick caused him to instinctively release his grip.

The weapon fell to the ground.

Startled, the impact of Chen Mu's counterattack had already knocked him out and sent him sprawling to the ground, and at the same time, his hands and feet were bound.

At this moment, Wei Dalei and the other boys rushed out of the room.

Dong Junwei and the others, with hand grenades in hand, also hurried over but found that the battle had already ended.

"Squad leader, turn on the light."

"Alright."

Dong Junwei took the plastic ball handed to her by Chen Mu and skillfully infused it with energy.

In an instant, light filled the room.

Dong Junwei's ability was currently the most complex.

But making plastic glow was the easiest thing for her to do, far easier than heating metal or making hand grenades. The light emitted by the ping-pong ball-sized plastic sphere was equivalent to a regular 40-watt light bulb, depending on Dong Junwei's level of concentration when using her ability.

As the light came on.

People who were accustomed to darkness subconsciously shielded their eyes.

And the faces of the four individuals sitting on the ground, originally hidden in the darkness, were now fully exposed, showing fear and panic.

Everyone could now see clearly.

These four people were all wearing school uniforms.
