From the start, the ending of “Debt Repayment Group” was predetermined.

Introducing the veteran Yoo Chang-seon from the early days was intended to send a message to Ha Ye-rin at the end, and the stalker Ye-rin Su-ho was also introduced with the conclusion in mind.

I originally planned to include Kanna, who has the trait of being a pervert, as a member of the Rookies, but as I was working on it, it seemed too much to have seven members, so I decided to trim it down.

Originally, Ye-rin’s trait was supposed to be ‘Sky Demon’ instead of ‘Greed of the Sin,’ but honestly, it felt too cringey, so I dropped it.

Moreover, “Debt Repayment Group” has gone through many changes from its original concept to narrowly reach completion.

One of the most memorable parts would be the process of defeating the villain Shin Si-woo in part two.

Actually, I had a great and satisfying way to make Shin Si-woo exit in my head.

But…

When I was about to serialize that part, my grandmother suddenly struggled with COVID and passed away… along with various events happening, I rushed through the story, leading to a somewhat disappointing development.

Honestly, if life gets tough and I can’t write, I could have just asked the readers for their understanding and taken a few days off…

But back then, I was foolish and had this obsession that I had to write at least one episode a day…

So, while going through tough times, I forced myself to write, which ended up that way.

Next, I want to talk about the extras.

I’ve always had in mind to conclude the main story with the Rookies members re-debuting as ISIS.

However, there are quite a few stories that couldn’t be covered in the main story.

First, the backstory of the members re-debuting as ISIS… how Brotherhood Planning became a top-tier agency…

How the villains’ parents from part one, who didn’t appear in part two, are living…

And the promised yuri routes with the members after completing part one.

But I don’t think I’ll serialize the extras right away.

I want to take a little break… and I also have a strong desire to serialize a new work…

So, it seems likely that the serialization of the extras won’t start until a long time later.
