I Contracted Myself

North of Mingzhu City, the endless mountains nurture countless magical beings.

Under the sunlight, a group of little wild boars followed their mother through the grass. Ahead of them was a stream as thick as an arm. The mother boar crossed it in one stride, but the leading little boar hesitated, stopping abruptly at the stream's edge.

The boar behind it bumped into its rear, causing the leading boar to fall into the water. It tumbled in the stream, and suddenly, a hand made of water lifted it up. Frightened, it scrambled to the other side.

The other little boars stared blankly at the stream until their mother urged them to cross cautiously.

The stream's clear water flowed steadily, eventually merging into a larger watercourse that ran down the mountain, seeping into the rocks and entering an underground river.

This underground river was one of Mingzhu City's most crucial water sources.

The city's water plant drew from this river, sending water through pipes to countless households.

In the Patrol Guard, several Awakeners turned on a faucet, filling a kettle to boil water. A few Tianchang Foxes watched them enter the kitchen before approaching the faucet to drink directly.

Originally, the Patrol Guard had no living members, only Tianchang Foxes.

To quickly eliminate outstanding humans, the Moon Prince had specially recruited many Awakeners under the guise of the Patrol Guard.

However, they couldn't act too hastily. If too many Awakeners disappeared at once, it would arouse suspicion among the human elites. "Where is Su Jingyao?" Zhang Ping asked, staring at the intermediate Tianchang Fox.

The fox knew who Su Jingyao was and first thought of revenge, but quickly dismissed the idea.

"Yes, Your Highness," Moon Shadow's voice echoed from his shadow.
