I play as a beast in World of Warcraft

Chapter 15 Deal Done

Deathwing tonight has lost count of how many times he has been angry, surprised, and impressed.

"What does His Highness want that treasure for? Does want to slay the dragon?"

Onyxia couldn't help but shiver a bit, knowing her father well, the tone of his words seemed like he could erupt into violence at any moment.

In contrast, Arthas remained unaffected, swirling a glass of red wine, "Do you know who gained this power by guarding the dragons?"

"Titan Keepers," Deathwing lightly uttered, his eyes showing complexity.

His mission was to protect this world, but now being tormented by the Old Gods, he sought liberation by destroying the world.

"Correct," Arthas nodded approvingly, giving off a teacher-student vibe.

"The dragon soul can awaken the slumbering Titan Keepers."

"Are you planning to use the Keepers against the orc army?" Deathwing questioned skeptically, finding it excessive.

Arthas raised his index finger and shook it, "No, I intend to use them to heal this world. You may not believe it, but I always hear the world's agonizing cries, it is suffering. I cannot block out these sounds, they give me headaches every time. Do you know why I am favored by the holy light?"

"Oh! What is it?" Deathwing, oblivious to being led, constantly hears the agonizing cries of Azeroth's Star Soul and the nagging of the Old God En'Zoth.

Suddenly hearing Arthas speak this way, he felt a sense of meeting a kindred spirit. Azeroth's Star Soul is the will of the world, while the Old Gods are parasites, corrupting the Star Soul, twisting beauty into ugliness, which is unforgivable.

Onyxia, dumbfounded, sat still, occasionally pouring Arthas a glass of wine, unsure when she last saw her father like this. Is this still the ruthless father she knew?

"I chose to heal the world. When I used the holy light to heal a dead tree, I filled the cracks in the earth with gravel. The sounds turned into joy, albeit briefly, I knew what to do. Healing her, she rewarded me with strength. It may sound ridiculous, but it's true!" Arthas stared at Deathwing with determination, "Duke, please help me."

"How do you plan to heal the world?"

If anyone else asked this, Deathwing would have scoffed.

However, Arthas's holy light outburst at the banquet had spread among nobles, even commoners praising the favored Arthas Prince. Knowing it was a form of inheriting power, Deathwing held a slight trust in Arthas's words.

"You don't need to worry about that. Can you help me or not?" Arthas stared at Deathwing with a relentless determination.

Being stared at by a human, Deathwing saw Arthas as a mere ant. Though he could easily crush this ant, he refrained. He saw value in Arthas, a kind of comrade-in-arms value. Watching someone with similar experiences heal, he might learn something too.

"Heh, His Royal Highness Prince, mutual assistance is fundamental. I can help you, but what will I gain?"

"It depends on what you desire. Shiny gold coins, vast lands, a place for you to develop freely without any authority's control?" Arthas could only speculate on what Deathwing desired, as the Black Dragonflight was nearly wiped out, with only a few harmless individuals left.

All this is because of Deathwing's betrayal tens of thousands of years ago when he used the Dragon Soul, empowered by the four great dragons, to betray his allies.

The price paid was not only his own near-death experience but also the near-extinction of his own kind.

To launch any significant endeavor, such as world destruction, he would need an army at his disposal.

The development of such forces would undoubtedly not escape the notice of the other guardian dragons. Otherwise, just as he begins to build up, the other guardian dragons would come knocking.

Therefore, finding a place free from surveillance is crucial.

"Oh? Your Highness, can you find land that is not under any influence?" Deathwing's eyes gleamed brighter. Essentially, he obtained the Dragon Soul to enhance his power.

But now, with a better option available, why bother with the Dragon Soul? Besides, dragons cannot even use the Dragon Soul; it is cursed, a curse even he cannot break.

"Draeno! Orc's hometown." Arthas said ominously, glancing around cautiously to ensure no one overheard.

This time, Deathwing was somewhat surprised. He was no fool; he had disguised himself as an orc and infiltrated during the orc wars, so he was familiar with Draeno. The world had become desolate due to fel corruption, with little left to offer.

"That world has few resources left; otherwise, the orcs would not have abandoned their homeland to invade ours."

"Haha!" Arthas picked up the wine glass and took a sip. He casually slapped Onyxia on the buttocks while pouring the wine. This almost made Onyxia's hair explode. How could a man dare to do this without worrying about getting a mouthful from her? Will the dragon's breath spray him directly to death?

"If it were too rich, someone would have gone there long ago. With many people, just killing off a few is enough."

Upon hearing Arthas's words, Onyxia couldn't help but shiver. Despite her overwhelming power over Arthas, she felt a strange fear she couldn't explain.

"Hey, watch your hands!"

"Sorry, just got carried away," Arthas shrugged, then turned to Deathwing. "Duke, what do you think of this suggestion?"

The atmosphere in the room gradually grew tense. Deathwing, in his humanoid form, continued to sip his wine slowly. "His Royal Highness Prince can make me intervene without doing anything. Quite a clever plan!"

"Knowledge is priceless. If everyone knows it, it is meaningless. I don't care what you want to do, this is the best way. For some contraband that cannot be known to others, you can choose to let the retreating ORC take it with you Go to Draeno. The world over there is vast and enough for you. "Arthas has no burden. The resources of Draeno are gradually depleted due to evil energy corrosion. They are valuable for development but not of high value.
