I Reincarnated as a Shinai

Chapter 335: Knight Champion

"A Knight Champion!"

"Then our winning chances would be higher!"

Lyrei and Yasmin exclaimed as soon as they heard Stella recounting what happened in their conversation with Diether.

"What? Are you guys planning to join the battle as well?" Aria asked.

"Of course! Why wouldn't we? There's also a reward that we can get if we participated. Since a Knight Champion would act, then the difficulty for this task would definitely get lowered." Yasmin replied.

This is considered B-Rank Mission in the Hunter Association. If she managed to complete this task, then her chances of being promoted would increase.

"How about you, Lyrei?"

"Hmm… I want to see a Knight Champion in action. I wouldn't miss that event." Lyrei answered enthusiastically. She rarely shows interests on such things, so one can tell the allure of meeting a Knight Champion is truly unordinary.

Knight Champion is considered to be the peak of power that an Arcanist or even non-Arcanist could achieve. Though there are many Knights who are also Arcanists, it doesn't change the fact that more than 80% in the Knights Order doesn't have an Arcana at all.

This is why Stella and Aria recognized that Diether's Platoon, which is filled with Arcanists, is an Elite Team within the Sun Fire Knights.

"Haha… I knew you will say that… I guess we'll stay here for a while then." Stella replied with a smile.

The four girls are currently residing at a house arranged by Diether. As for their carriage, it was handed over to the Sun Fire Knights to be taken care of.

Time gradually passed as they waited for the Knight Champion.

During the past few days, Yasmin managed to complete her mission and killed enough Inferno Wolves and Man-Eating Eagles.

These eagles are too difficult to handle since they all have the ability to fly and flee after one of them got killed.

At first, it was quite easy for Yasmin since she has a destructive firearm on her. However, after killing three of those Eagles, they seem to have learned how powerful her gun was, so once they heard her fire a single shot, they would immediately scatter away.

"Yasmin… We're planning to watch the knights welcome the Knight Champion. Are you going to come?" Stella asked seeing that Aria was cleaning her gun.

"Sure! I will… Let's go!"

The four beautiful ladies then went together outside to have a look at this legendary Knight Champion.

As they came out of the Sun Fire Knight's barracks, there's a lot of people eyeing them.

"I never thought that the Knights Order have such beauties within them…"

"Ugh… I want to be knight…"

"Do you think I should talk to them? I might have a chance!"

"Heh! Look at those weapons… Your head might be rolling on the ground once you've approached them with your dirty look."

"Haha! I guess I'll just join their next recruitment."

Aria frowned after hearing their whisperings. Well, they were not even trying hard to keep their conversation a secret. It was as if they also wanted them to be heard.

She only shook her head as she thought that these guys are so pitiful.

'You're already scared of our group when you haven't even struck a conversation with us yet. I'm pretty sure that all four of us are quite friendly…' Aria thought deep inside.

Yasmin was a previous waitress working at her family's inn so her temperant is actually pretty good.

Stella and Lyrei are supposedly here as merchants so they aren't bad at conversation as well.

As for her, she's quite friendly in the Academy too. She even managed to befriend Chrisome from the Tower.

Overall, she thought that they weren't that unapproachable ladies at all. Holding weapons inside the Fortress is just a common thing and shouldn't be a threatening matter.

Anyway, she just thought of this passing.

It didn't take long before they saw a luxurious carriage designed by intricate carvings filled with gold.

Aside from that, the seal and flag of the Sun Fire Knights can also be seen waving as the carriage moves towards the Knight's Barracks.

As soon as the carriage stopped at the building, they saw its door opening.

Soon, a man in his fifties came out of the carriage.

Unlike the commanders of the Sun Fire Knights wearing majestic armors and equipped with dazzling weapons, this man was like a scholar wearing a long light blue robe with a golden pattern on its cuff.

Stella and the others tried to see if the man is carrying a sword inside his robe but none of them could see any signs of it.

As a matter of fact, their Arcane Sensitivity couldn't find any Energy fluctuation from this man at all!

If they had met him on the streets, they would probably think that this person is just an ordinary man. However, for him to be respected by the Sun Fire Knights Commanders and General Julian, only means that he's the real deal!

"I can't feel his Spiritual Energy… My Arcane Sensitivity also tells that he's not carrying an Arcana. What's going on?" Aria furrowed her brows as it feels like she wasn't looking at a legendary figure.

"That's true… I wonder how he's doing it." Stella added.

Surprisingly, Yasmin is actually the calmest among the group.

"Hehe… I've seen a 5-Star Hunter before… He also looks unfathomable like this man. If I didn't see him talking to our branch head, I wouldn't know that he's a 5-Star Hunter. Aside from that, I was told by the branch head that he wasn't even an Arcanist!" Yasmin recounted her amazing experience which amazed the other three.

They have seen three-star Hunters before and were aware of their strength. As for five-star Hunter, they heard that they are capable of stopping a Beast Tide alone or even fighting off against Evil Beasts capable of destroying a nation.

It must've been an unforgettable experience meeting such legendary figures.

Soon, they heard the Sun Fire Knight Commander greet the Knight Champion.

"Master Sayel, thank you for coming here to help us. I have prepared everything you've asked for."

"Master. I'm General Julian, this is the second time we've met. I'm sorry for calling you here. This is due to my incompetence and couldn't protect our Fortress…"

Julian, who was still pale because of his injuries, spoke beside the Knight Commander.

"That's fine… This is just a small setback. Tomorrow. I will lead the troops and end this farce!"

The Knight Champion named Sayel declared in front of many people and was followed by a loud cheer from the crowd.
