“……Your Holiness? Me?”
“Yeah. Your Holiness. Delta, you.”
Those blue eyes were filled with conviction. They believed that if they left me like this, the very thing they were concerned about would inevitably happen. And I couldn’t easily deny Lize’s words either.
There was a prickling feeling.
If the Pope had feelings for me beyond mere affection, it would explain all the actions I displayed after the battle with the creature abandoned by God.
Clinging to my arm while walking, pressing her chest against me, changing clothes right in front of me while subtly exposing her butt—if everything was just their way of seducing me, it made perfect sense. I never imagined that the Popes would have anything beyond gratitude for me.

Her fingers pressed down a bit more firmly on my lips.

Lize chuckled and raised her finger to gently press against my lips.

“But my love has no reason, Delta.”
Those icy blue eyes were solely focused on me.
“The moment I saw you, I felt destiny, and that’s why I love you. That’s all. A grand reason? An order? Does that even matter? Love is just about me liking you, isn’t it?”
“Lize…….”
“Oh, I don’t know. Philosophical questions aren’t really my thing. I’ll stop trying to sound profound. So, Delta, what about you? Are you ready to answer my heart? Or is this still not enough?”
With that, Lize closed her mouth. The fingers that had pressed against my lips were removed. It was a signal that her words were done and she was waiting for my response.
At first glance, it seemed firm, and even if I rejected her here, she would gracefully accept it and step back. But in reality, the situation was different. Those bright blue eyes were subtly trembling.
She was afraid. Worried that I might reject her.

As our lips parted, her closed eyelids lifted. I could see her slightly dampened eyes.

“……I’m listening.”
“I don’t know how it sounds to you, but I already knew your feelings. That you like me. I didn’t know why, though. It’s hard to miss when you cling to me like that, right?”
“Then why didn’t you accept me sooner? Did it have to be me making the first move?”
Lize lightly slapped my chest. It was sheer playful annoyance. Considering we had just kissed, all her worries and fears had vanished.
“I told you. Once the line was crossed, I wouldn’t be able to restrain myself. I would probably just want to roll around in bed with you all day.”
“Then let’s roll around in bed all day. How about that? Sounds easy?”
“……Was it really that simple?”

With sincere laughter, our lips met again. This kiss was a bit more passionate than before. Our breaths mingled, lips slightly parted, and tongues slipped in.
