CHAPTER 332

CHAPTER 332: Another Clown

If the Boshi Tower were likened to a computer, then Lin Feng at this moment was a hacker.

He hacked into the system through the hardware—the tower-shaped array formation—ready to modify the internal programs. On the other hand, Lu Ming was akin to antivirus software, serving as the defense line against the hacker.

In this confrontation, individual strength became meaningless. What determined victory or defeat was solely the level of proficiency in the Dao of Array Formations.

At this moment, Lin Feng did not feel the slightest possibility of losing to Lu Ming.

“Don’t be ridiculous,” he thought.

Lu Ming may have had cultivation talent, but he lacked talent in the Dao of Array Formations. How could he possibly compare to Lin Feng? In terms of hard work and natural gifts, Lin Feng admitted that he fell short of Lu Ming. However, when it came to the Dao of Array Formations, Lin Feng was confident that Lu Ming could never surpass him.

If Lin Feng’s array formation skills were calculated in levels, his proficiency would be around level 43. Compared to Lu Ming’s initial level of 25, it was clearly superior.

Thus, when Lin Feng first invaded the core control of the Boshi Tower, Lu Ming did not sense a thing. Lin Feng had, after all, been planning this for some time.

“First, this…”

With a few subtle changes, Lin Feng completely shielded his manor. Now, Lu Ming could not observe what transpired inside through the Boshi Tower’s array formation.

“And now, this!”

After further manipulation, a surge of teleportation light filled the chamber.

Five individuals suddenly appeared in Lin Feng’s secret chamber. As they recovered from the disorienting effects of the teleportation, they each acknowledged Lin Feng with a nod.

Among the five were two Semi-Divine realm experts, one individual at level nine of the Ancient Realm, and two more at high levels of the Ancient Realm. These five shared Lin Feng’s goal—to kill Lu Ming swiftly.

Two of them were subordinates of Moonfiend Yue, whose animosity toward Lu Ming needed no further explanation. The remaining three were either close friends of Lin Feng or had been recruited through his connections with the Blood-Eyed Venerable.

Lin Feng turned to the Semi-Divine realm subordinate of Moonfiend, named Kebo, and asked, “Did you bring it?”

Kebo nodded. “I’ve brought it,” he said, producing a golden bead.

The bead was transparent, resembling a container, and inside swirled a dense golden mist—Moonfiend’s Divine Origin.

Upon seeing the Divine Origin, Lin Feng’s eyes lit up.

“That’s enough.”

Since Moonfiend also sought revenge against Lu Ming, she naturally contributed to the effort. While she did not dare confront Lu Ming directly, sealing a trace of her Divine Origin and sending it with her subordinates was not difficult.

Lin Feng took a deep breath before crushing the crystal bead. The Divine Origin spilled out, and, as though alive, it quickly entered the tower-shaped array formation. After a long pause, Lin Feng cautiously touched the now-golden array formation. Closing his eyes, he sensed its new power and smiled with satisfaction.

“It’s done!”

With the addition of Moonfiend’s Divine Origin, it was enough to counterbalance the remaining Divine Origin within the Boshi Tower. Once these forces negated each other, the Boshi Tower would lose its ability to suppress Semi-Divines.

Moreover, with no Divine Realm experts present and with Lin Feng already having taken secret control of part of the tower’s systems, the situation was now entirely in his favor.

Surveying the others in the chamber, Lin Feng grinned. “I can do whatever I want now.”

Turning to his companions, he continued, “Who wants to go meet our ‘super genius’?”

The ridicule in his words caused the group to laugh. One of Lin Feng’s close friends, Bo Hao, stepped forward.

“I’ll go,” he said. Bo Hao was at the Seventh Level of the Ancient Realm.

As for whether Bo Hao could defeat Lu Ming? It was hardly a question. Lu Ming, though exceptionally talented, was still young. In just three years, Lu Ming had progressed from three silver patterns to thirty, which was impressive. However, even with thirty silver patterns, Lu Ming was still only at the Fourth Level of the Ancient Realm—far below Bo Hao’s Seventh Level.

With Bo Hao taking the lead, the others made no objections. Kebo added, “I want him alive. If we can deliver Lu Ming to Lady Moonfiend, she won’t hesitate to reward us.”

The rewards from a being of the Divine Realm, though a weak one, were highly coveted by Semi-Divines, especially Divine Origin. Bo Hao nodded, smiling. Lin Feng activated the array formation, and with another flash of teleportation light, Bo Hao appeared in Lu Ming’s small courtyard.

Meanwhile, Lu Ming was rapidly upgrading his own array formation skills.

“Add more points,” he muttered.

Array Formation: Level 33.

A surge of knowledge flooded Lu Ming’s mind. It took time to process and fully absorb the new information, much like how one’s strength needed time to stabilize after advancing to a higher level. Using Divine Origin Points to increase skill levels required brief intervals to digest the acquired knowledge.

Now at level 33, Lu Ming’s understanding of the Dao of Array Formation in Boshi Tower deepened. He also noticed something strange.

“Is someone trying to seize my authority?”

At level 25, he hadn’t been able to detect Lin Feng’s subtle manipulations. But now, at level 33, he realized someone was interfering with his control over the tower. However, he still didn’t know it was Lin Feng is behind the plot. Lacking this crucial information, his ability to counter the intrusion was limited.

Suddenly, he sensed a teleportation fluctuation in the courtyard and frowned.

“Phew.”

With a deep breath, Lu Ming activated the array formation of the Boshi Tower to block external perception of his courtyard. He then stepped outside to investigate.

In the tranquil courtyard, filled with the scent of flowers and the sound of birds, Bo Hao stood with his hands behind his back. He surveyed Lu Ming and smiled.

“Lu Ming? Come with me. Someone wants to see you. Don’t make me take action, or you won’t have a good end—”

“Gaa—”

Bo Hao’s voice was abruptly cut off. Lu Ming’s hand was already around Bo Hao’s neck. With a small squeeze, a sharp crack echoed through the air, and blood sprayed like a fountain. Bo Hao’s head was twisted off by the sheer force of Lu Ming’s grip.

“Where did this clown come from?” Lu Ming frowned, pondering the unexpected intrusion. Shaking his head, he dismissed the thought.

“Add more points,” he said.

Array Formation: Level 34.

The situation was clear: someone had infiltrated the Boshi Tower. Lu Ming’s priority now was to raise his array formation skill level further and regain complete control of the tower. Without it, he would lose the last line of defense for the Three Elements Academy, and he would fail in fulfilling the task his teacher had entrusted to him.

As for Bo Hao? Once Lu Ming regained control, everything would become clear, and there would be no need to dwell on such trivial matters.
