NOVEL SIMPLE Head maid
The next few days were similar. I had my lessons as I harassed my maid in a few ways. These lessons were boring but I had to cooperate just so that father will not notice. It is now Sunday the only day that my maid had her day off. It was on these days that I would not dare leave the house as my strongest tool is not available. In exchange, the head maid is the one who will be serving me today. Ah, how the passage of time shows. I remember her beautiful visage when she was younger. She has retained her physique and strength since then but her beauty has changed throughout the years. Such a shame.
“When will father return?”
“The master will be returning tomorrow, milady.”
I see. So tomorrow would be my first-time meeting with him since I got these memories. Would he notice anything? Probably not, that man has already lost interest in who I am. Maybe I should change that? The previous me was too scared of him to do anything but what about now? If I want to play with that woman that birthed me, maybe I should do something? A thought for tomorrow, let’s see what I will do when I’m there.
“Is there anything that needs to be reported to me?”
The head maid was stupidly loyal to us. Even to the point where she would join father and I once the verdict of our crimes is committed. Does she sleep with father? Very unlikely, even if the head maid was interested, father would most likely not care. Ah, such a sad existence.
“The mother and daughter are requesting to meet with her as usual.”
I scoffed. They should already be grateful that we let them meet at least once per year.
“And what of their duties? Are there any complaints on their service?”
In exchange for their lives, the duo are also maids in a different part of the estate. I make sure to never approach them to keep my maids’ obedience.
“None. The mother has already worked for a while with us and most of the other maids like her. The daughter was a new addition last year and there have been no complaints regarding her either.”
Good. I have already seen the mother and daughter and they are not as beautiful as my maid. Ah, they should be glad that they are not worth my presence like my maid. I am so generous.
“I see, good. As usual, make sure that they do not meet with my maid or else there will be punishment.”
“Understood, milady.”
Head maid bowed as she said so.
“And what about school? Is there any news of when it shall start?”
“There are reports that it shall start next week. Students however are requested to arrive earlier for orientation and preparation for the school year.”
The main story is about to begin. Ah, how exciting. The training of my maid is going smoothly. But she isn’t giving me those emotions anymore. Should I increase my harassment? School would be perfect.
“Is my maid enrolled?”
Head maid finally shows some emotion with this question.
“Sylvia is not enrolled milady.”
“Then enroll her.”
Another frown on her face.
“Understood, milady.”
I smile. I could clearly see the head maid shaken as she sees me. My, is my smile something to shiver at? Even my maid shivers whenever I smile. I should practice more then. Ah, how could such a simple thing be so effective?
“Head maid, who are you loyal to? Me or my father?
Head maid kept her face still as she answered.
“To both of you, milady.”
“So, if I asked you to tell me information that my father has told you not to. Will you disobey him?”
A slight quiver on her lips.
“No milady.”
“Oh? So, what if I asked you to not share with my father but was ordered by him to do so. Will you disobey me?”
“No milady”
Hehe, whether it was a lie or the truth did not matter. What mattered is that the head maid now knows. Knows that I might start hiding things from father.
“You have changed milady.”
“Perhaps but it matters not. Even if I do change, you are still our head maid.”
“Yes milady.”
“Although I do wonder, if I fight my father. Which side will you choose?”
I smiled as I looked at her. Head maid remained speechless as I asked such a question. A question that she never thought would come from me. But before she could answer, I cut her off.
“Ah, no need to think of such things. Such a thing has a very low chance of happening after all. But it is an interesting thought.”
I could see head maid visibly relax as I let the subject go.
“Did father say how long he would be staying this time?”
“The master will be leaving after 3 days.”
“I see. Then I shall be leaving for school on the same day. Do make sure to prepare everything necessary and my maid’s enrollment”
“Understood, milady.”
“You are dismissed.”
Head maid bowed and left the room. I have 3 days to play with before leaving for school. Father has some other plan to “train me”. He should be grateful for the daughter he shall meet is one prepared to be a villain. I look at my finger. I sharpened the nail on one of my fingers for my use. My magicless body could not inflict any form of physical damage on any being with magic. I already tested it out with my maid after all. I pricked my palm with my nail. I felt slight pain from it piercing my skin. I am so weak that my own nail can draw my blood. I licked my palm and sucked my blood.
“Ah, its such a shame that I can only taste my own blood.”
