I was bored so I made a secret organization

Chapter 277: Same but Different Dream 9

Screech– Click click– Bam!

A mechanical sound began to ring inside the underground as Naomi walked the long corridor with Mischa. The gear kept turning, opening the big metal door at the end of the corridor leading to Akasa Inc.’s underground.

Naomi was already given the pass on her Master Card after Mizuki and Melaine scanned her body a few days ago.

While Naomi had seen the long corridor before, it was the first time Mischa had visited this place. She looked around curiously while asking.

“This is a really long corridor. Why did they build it this way?”

“Because they don’t want it to be found right under Akasa Inc.’s area. From what I calculated, the real underground area is located right under Berlin, and we, Akasa Inc. and Germany Military, disguised it as a sewer area.” Naomi replied calmly with a serious expression.

She found out about this information when she browsed some secret data in Akasa Inc.’s database before she went to sleep. Because she had the highest pass, the same as her father and mother, finding this information was rather easy.

“Is there really a need to go that far?”

“There is. Because… well… It is necessary to keep this place a secret. There are a lot of experiments going on here, and some of them might disgust you or maybe make you think differently of Akasa Inc. and me.”

“Huh?”

“You will know later. For the record, only my mother, my father, Melaine, Chi, Marshall Ingrid, and some of the employees know about this place. Please keep it a secret.”

“Obviously.”

They finally reached the end of the corridor, and the big metal door was already opened. The spacious room at the other side of the door could be seen from where they were, and it amazed Mischa.

A lot of big machines were in the room, put in a neat arrangement so they wouldn’t disturb each other. Many people in white lab coats were walking around holding a document as they operated some machines.

Most of them talked calmly in a whisper, but in the area where a familiar nuke was hung, the researchers were talking in a loud voice that Mischa could hear. It was the closest one to the entrance, after all.

“This is amazing in various ways. More than the Moon of Akasha’s underground base.” Mischa praised. They stood in front of the entrance on something like a metal balcony. T

There were stairs leading to the main floor right beside them. It was built like this so they could shut the entrance if something bad happened with experiments. This underground area worked in a similar way to a bunker.

“Yes, it is. Now, let’s find my mother. She’s usually on the second underground floor, way deeper than this place.”

“Alright.”

Thankfully for Naomi, the experiment that used death-row criminals was moved to another place. To the third underground floor, to be exact. Mischa wouldn’t be able to see it as their destination was the second underground floor.

The stairs were located right under them. So they took the stairs from the side and proceeded deeper to the second underground floor.

As they walked down the small stairs corridor, Naomi began to have a bad feeling. Because the researchers were busy with their research, no one greeted her like the normal employees above ground.

They might not even realize or know where her mother, Mizuki, was if she was not in her usual place.

‘Strange. I hope she’s there.’

Naomi held high hope. She didn’t want any kind of trouble at this turbulent time.

“Please be there,” Naomi murmured in a low voice as she bit her lips. She began to feel stressed after a long time. She had never felt like this before.

Mischa was able to hear Naomi’s murmur, so she cast a worried gaze over her back.

They finally reached the second underground floor after walking for a few seconds. This area was smaller than the first floor, and there were fewer people too.

This was where they investigated the effect of Esper’s blood after the main research area of the underground base was deemed lacking. The types of equipment in this place were better, with a lot of new generation that couldn’t be obtained with legal ways.

The researchers on this floor were mostly those from the Moon of Akasha instead of Akasa Inc. However, they didn’t realize that Naomi was there as they were too engrossed in their research.

Naomi was also scanned on this floor, so she remembered the area quite a little bit. She immediately went to a room located to the left of the stairs. It was a room with a sign ‘Office’ where her mother usually was when she wasn’t in the main office.

Swish–

The door automatically opened when whoever carried the pass was near. So Naomi didn’t need to knock or even use her Master Key to open it.

The room was covered in white walls, and there were a few monitors hung on the table. The monitors were all turned on, showing some graphs and a plan for the war in the near future.

Some of the monitors played footage of the prisons in a loop, and Naomi’s expression immediately hardened when she realized that there was no one in this room.

“This is bad.” She muttered.

“Why?” Mischa asked curiously. She also sensed Naomi’s Esper Pressure leaked a little bit from her body.

Mischa wasn’t the only one to feel it. All researchers in the room also felt it. They stopped their work and turned to Naomi. The pressure that leaked from Naomi was that heavy. Working in such a condition would be hard.

Naomi looked over her shoulder and said, “It seems that my mother and Melaine have been kidnapped.”

Meanwhile, in a dark room located somewhere. No light was able to penetrate the room, it was pure black.

Bam!

“Damn it!”

A girl shouted loudly with all her energy, punching a steel wall that didn’t budge even with her strength. She had been doing it for a few hours. Finally, she got tired and slumped down, leaning her back against the wall.

“I am too careless!”

“We are all too careless.” Answering the girl’s winning was a woman in a suit with her hair tied in a ponytail. “They even put us in a different place. Lady Mizuki and the Queen are put somewhere else. I guess they put us in this dark place because we kind of betrayed Avos. Hahahaha.”

The woman still had time to laugh. It was her nature, always fooling around and doing everything at her own pace.

“It’s not a time to joke around, Hotaru! We are trapped here and unable to use our abilities, thanks to that bastard! Damn it! Those so-called Dolls piss me off! He even used my blood to create them perfectly with my ability being cloned!”

“I can’t say anything about that. But surely, Lady Mizuki did something with your phone, no? That’s why Avos teleported us to this pace. I don’t know where this is, so I can’t teleport away. I will end up underground if I don’t know our exact coordinates. That guy got us good.”

“Indeed, he is. He’s always a smart ass. Maybe only Lady Naomi can compete with him. But, yes. Mizuki surely will do something. I gave her my holo phone that opened a message application. If I guess correctly, she will give Lady Naomi a clue about our whereabouts. Avos love to boast his accomplishment even if he’s that smart.”

“Then all we can do is wait, right?”

“I guess so. Sorry, I lost my cool every time I saw that guy.”

“It’s no problem. I can understand that. Anyway, we need to converse our energies. We didn’t even get a wink of sleep since a few hours ago.”

“Yes. Let’s sleep in turn, then. I believe you won’t stab me in the back, Hotaru.”

“You can rest easy. I don’t want to work with someone threatening my stepmother too.”
