I’m The Pitiful Villain (Editing)

Chapter 30: Bet

Chapter 30: Bet

The battle between the knights and the boy continued but not a single one of them was even able to touch him. Some even questioned if it was possible because of how elegant and how dignified he looked by fighting him. As if he wasn’t even tired, he even asked them at that moment if they could keep going while insulting the knights about how weak and incapable they are. Some were angry at him but didn’t have the courage to fight him again because of how brutally he beat his enemies.

The first two people he beat up were lucky enough to not experience his wrath because what followed were beaten to a pulp, some had their legs broken by him, and some had their skulls fractured, luckily there were healers. Lastly, some were left unconscious because of his attack even though they used mana sometimes to block his attacks, however, the boy didn’t stop swinging his swords at them especially when they broke one rule, like a madman, he still kept on swinging his sword until Reinhardt even had to interfere. No one knew among the knights why Alfonso is so brutal but thinking about the punishment after, it was justified. Though, they didn’t know that he was a perfectionist that wants to perfectly perform his sword slash that’s why he can’t stop himself from swinging.

Because of what Alfonso showed to them though, they even questioned if it was worth it to just fight him or just take the punishment that was originally planned for them. Overall, a few of them backed off as they knew their limits and knew they didn’t have a chance.

However, no one knew that the boy who fought over 15 knights already was feeling his body exhausted from the fights. Because of how much he had used some of the skills that use his body beyond his limits, Alfonso could feel how he is getting exhausted as time went by.

But at last,

Bang!!!

The final knight that remained was struck by his sword once again leaving the knight smashed to the ground. Seeing how he has defeated all of them, Alfonso inwardly sighed, he wanted to sit and rest already because of how tired he was. However, his body couldn’t do so, there was this urge inside him that forced him to keep his posture. The feels that he shouldn’t show his weakness to these people and let them know through his actions that he is superior to them.

‘How dare you even get tired over these trashes?’

That thought echoed inside his mind leaving him with no choice but to grit his teeth. All he can say from the progress of his fights is that he was lucky to learn what sword aura is in this world when he saw Mary using one while practising. It hasn’t been explained but sword aura is something that you try to focus on one object being covered by an aura or a thick barrier. By doing this, you’ll be able to create a sword aura which could strengthen your sword or even make it durable because of the aura that surrounds one’s self/object. The difference between mana covering sword and aura is that sword aura uses energy based on their level of swordsmanship. This technique, fortunately, was easily able to be learned by Alfonso thanks to his system. Meanwhile, as if nothing is happening, Alfonso’s face remained sophisticated followed by his cold gaze that looked down at everyone. Because of his dignified presence not a single one of the people watching noticed his exhaustion. But as time passed, Reinhardt who was watching from the sidelines, couldn’t take it anymore and suddenly stepped inside the stage.

“I Reinhardt, would like to battle you too Young Lord.” The red-haired man uttered, excited to test the young boy and truly see his potential, however, Alfonso who heard him quickly refused. “No”

Why wouldn’t he? he’s already tired after all.

“I’ll seal and lower my rank Young Lord and would even let you use mana”

Reinhardt insisted. In response, Alfonso questioned, “Why should I?”

He then coldly gazed at the man in his eyes before he continued. “I only challenged these knights because of their punishment and you are not included, Reinhardt.”

“Hear me out, my Lord. If you are able to defeat me, I’ll grant you anything you want in return. I’d just like to see how strong truly the Patriarch’s son is.” Reinhardt responded as he stared at Alfonso with interest.

“Anything?”

“As long it’s in my capability”

‹I didn’t expect he would be this determined…› Alfonso inwardly uttered as he planned his next move not wanting to pass the opportunity of a lifetime that he was offered with. Only he knew in this world what benefit he’ll gain if he won a fight with him.

“That’s interesting… I’ll take your challenge then,” He said as he deciphered Reinhardt’s personality in his head.

In honesty, Alfonso intended to get Reinhardt’s attention by showing off his skills. However, he didn’t expect much that Reinhardt would easily take the bait he laid off. But thinking deeply about it, it made sense that Reinhardt took the bait because, in the game, Reinhardt liked to test and fight with talented people. Overall, it was a win for him since Reinhardt is the type of man that goes as far as to even give one of his treasures as a price for defeating him. Like Antelmo, he keeps his words like a man. How Alfonso knew of this was because there was a time in the game in his past life when the main character joined an arena where Reinhardt was present. Seeing how talented the main character was in fighting, Reinhardt challenged him to a fight.

Basically, Reinhardt is some sort of addict when it comes to testing talented people. Because of this thought though, Alfonso questioned inside his mind whether it was a fetish of Reinhardt’s.

Meanwhile, the red-haired man lowered his rank to ‘Master’ and sealed them while blocking his body to use mana.

After that, the two then stared into each other’s eyes in silence that prolonged for a minute.

Suddenly, a voice then rang across the place breaking the silence that shrouded the atmosphere.

“—FIGHT!!!”

As those words rang through Alfonso’s ears his feet immediately shattered the ground as mana started to form around his sword. A sound of a blast resonated as his body flew toward Reinhardt. Just from his charge, Alfonsos’ intentions were clearly conveyed, he wanted to win and so he immediately went all out.

“Hooh! You’re aggressive for someone who didn’t want to fight me first.” Reinhardt said as he sheathed his wooden sword that was covered with a blue aura.

Bang!!!

The sound of the two wooden swords colliding echoed as both of their auras shined through, Reinhardt had blue while Alfonso had red.

As if time had stopped, Reinhardt’s movements suddenly increased to ten folds. Then a sound of hundreds of slashes connected with Alfonso’s sword followed.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

In the process obliterated the aura and mana that covered Alfonso’s sword making him hastily twist his body from the following attack to dodge instead of block.

But because of how he hastily twisted his body, his posture became unstable and his centre of gravity shifted to one side. It was a fleeting moment but Reinhardt promptly took the opportunity to end Alfonso.

Fwoosh!!!

Barely dodging the attack. The sound of Reinhardt’s swing tingled Alfonso’s ear as the strong forces of wind passed through his face.

Having no time to recover, Alfonso stepped back from Reinhardt’s range however the red-haired man immediately caught up to him and quickly struck him again. But before Reinhardt could touch Alfonso, the boy’s mana suddenly formed around him as a deafening sound followed.

—BOOM!!!

In that short amount of time huge boulder blocked the Red-haired man’s attack in result shattered the rock into hundreds of pieces of debris making a huge smoke around the arena. Losing Reinhardt’s ability to see where his enemy at.

“You’re smart”

Reinhardt chuckled as he postured himself.

Alfonso’s POV:

“Haaahhh!”

I deeply sighed from exhaustion as I cursed inside my head. I could feel my whole body burning up from exhaustion fortunately it became lesser when I used mana around me. Though the accumulated fatigue was getting heavier as I used more of my skills.

<Jesus… he’s not even using mana and yet he is this strong already with only the use of his sword aura and sword techniques.> Considering how he is a battle addict in the game I bet he has a lot of experience.

“…”

Shrugging my thoughts away I then fixed my attire because of the urge of wanting to look perfect while at the same time thinking about how he is not at his full power, because of this having a visual of what could happen made me quickly shiver, but it was expected, I then quickly thought that overthinking about things will not change anything. Luckily though, he allowed me to use mana in order to fill in the gap if not I would have not been allowed to use my elemental ability to block him or else… I would have been long lost and be lying unconcious on the floor.

<I should take this opportunity to strike back while the dust has blocked his sight. Because if I win this fight… I’ll be able to get that.>

I inwardly uttered as I stared at the smoke with his name on top, because of the system showing where Reinhardt’s name is, I could quickly recognize where he is without even trying to clear up the dust that devoured our surroundings. Soon, however, I used my elemental ability and combined it with my psychokinesis to control the fallen little rocks that were caused by the shattered boulder earlier.

<I think that it’s easier to fight him this way rather than fight him head-on… I’m clearly going to lose because of how much he has experience with fighting head-on. Especially now that I know that even though he lowered his rank and sealed his mana… That doesn’t necessarily imply that his stamina is the same as mine… and if I could guess… It’s as if I’m fighting someone who has the same rank as me but is just much stronger, experienced, and unlimited in stamina when it comes to sword fight. Mind you… I’m already tired from all those fighting.>

With that in thought flying rocks soon quickly soared and came rushing towards Reinhardt like a bullet.

FWOOSH!!!

Without wasting more time I then soon gathered more huge rocks with the use of my elemental ability and crashed them to spread more dust, “Let’s see if this will work on this monster” I silently whispered as I soared more rocks toward Reinhardt as I gripped my wooden sword tightly.
