Book 6: Chapter 28:2: Chen Heng: I Also Want a Divine Key! Part 2

Sirin’s cores were the Herrscher Core of Conquest, the Herrscher Core of Desire, the Herrscher Core of Serenity, the Herrscher Core of Haste, and her own Herrscher Core of Void. They represented thunder, wind, death, fire, and space, respectively. Most importantly, she remained unaffected by the Honkai Demon God.

What puzzled Cheng Lixue was that even though Raiden Mei had a Herrscher Core of Conquest, Sirin had a more potent version, as if Raiden Mei’s core was a counterfeit.

If Chen Heng knew what Cheng Lixue was thinking, he’d tell her she was spot-on.

After the world merger, all the Herrscher Cores had been slightly weakened. For example, the Herrscher Core of Conquest could control electromagnetic fields in the Honkai Impact 3rd world. However, could its destructiveness be on the same level as the electromagnetic control of the supreme-martial world?

Furthermore, these reductions ensured that neither the Valkyries nor Herrschers became too powerful, attracting envy. The Honkai Impact 3rd world’s limit of combat prowess was not as high as this supreme-martial world’s. If the Herrscher Cores were strengthened, people from some major factions might covet these Herrscher Cores.

After the merger, while the original cores were weakened, replicas were also made of all cores except Sirin’s.

However, Sirin’s Herrscher Cores were not weakened. Nevertheless, even if Sirin could not fight those major factions, she could still run.

I can spend a long time in a constant state of anxiety or worry, not finding peace. However, just wait for this great me to call on my guardians!

“Alright. Little Heng, stop criticizing Sirin. The dumplings are cooked. Set the table.”

“Oh! Got it, Master,” Chen Heng replied but made no move to rise from the sofa. Instead, with a flick of his finger, he brought the plates over with his ability.

Cheng Lixue watched in amazement as the dishes and chopsticks from the kitchen flew effortlessly to Chen Heng’s side, and the dumplings gracefully landed on the plates on their own.

What exactly is Junior Brother’s ability? Master mentioned earlier that the Herrscher of Stars’s abilities aligned perfectly with his; could it be gravity? However, what I just saw does not match up with that. Or does he possess multiple abilities?

“Little Heng, next time, don’t be lazy. Don’t misuse your gifts,” Fu Hua chided, her voice sounding motherly even though her appearance didn’t match the tone.

“Got it, Master,” he answered, though his tone suggested otherwise.

After a thoughtful pause, Cheng Lixue decided to use the simplest and crudest method. She asked directly, “What exactly is your ability, Junior Brother?”

“Ability? Senior Sister, which one are you asking about? All of them?”

“I was just asking out of curiosity. If you don’t want to say, it’s fine.”

“Senior Sister, you’re being too formal. In truth, my abilities are quite complicated. Our master said the same about me, but I can’t help it; each ability is really useful. I have attraction, electromagnetism control, gravity control, spatial ability, and precognition—for now. I’m not sure if there will be more in the future.”

Using the Absolute Precognition to catch a glimpse, Chen Heng had determined that exposing this would not affect him. Thus, he generously revealed his abilities without reservation.

“Enough. Both of you, come eat.”

During the meal, the trio sat silently. It’s a good habit not to talk while eating.

------

“Junior Brother, you have too many abilities. I think you should focus on one or two main ones.”

Cheng Lixue offered this suggestion after the meal as they lounged on the sofa.

“Alright, Lixue. You don’t have to worry about your junior brother. He does not need anyone to interfere with his future. As long as he stays on course, he will become an expert who surpasses the immortals sooner or later. My purpose is just to guide and push him on.”

“If you say so, Master.” Since her master said that, Cheng Lixue decided not to pursue the topic of Chen Heng’s training.

“Oh, right. Junior Brother, you still haven’t answered me. Are you going to St. Freya Academy for college?”

“…No, I’d prefer a regular school. I don’t think St. Freya Academy has anything to teach me. If anything, I might be teaching them.” Chen Heng rejected Cheng Lixue’s suggestion.

“You can consider their outer campus. After all, Master, your younger sister, and I are there.”

“…I’ll think about it. I’ve just started my college entrance exams, so there’s still time. Furthermore, it’s not certain I can get into St. Freya Academy.”

“Didn’t Junior Brother use your Precognition to see the exam questions?”

“Senior Sister, you should leave now. Otherwise, your target will get away.”

Upon hearing that, Cheng Lixue grabbed her coat and headed out. Chen Heng quickly followed. Her destination wasn’t close, and she needed to drive.

After sending Cheng Lixue off, Chen Heng returned home to find his master, Fu Hua, meditating with her eyes shut on the sofa.

Chen Heng did not want to interrupt his master, but Fu Hua called out to him.

Fu Hua opened her eyes. “Little Heng, your senior sister has no malicious intentions. She is not trying to fish for information; rather, she is not good at showing concern.”

“Master, I know. My senior sister and you are alike, both not good at expressing feelings. Also, can you not call me Little Heng? It feels weird, especially since you look younger than me. It’d be hard to explain if someone heard.”

“Hmm…you have a point. From now on, I’ll call you Ah Heng in public. You can call me Hua or Fu Hua. Privately, you can use any name. After all, I can’t teach you much. Rather, I’m more of a mentor sharing experiences and providing guidance rather than a master.”

“Alright, Master. I got it, Master.”

At 2:30 p.m., after a nap, Chen Heng finally replenished all the Will Energy he had expended the previous night while creating Will Energy swords.

The math paper would be in the afternoon. This was the subject Chen Heng did not need to worry about since it was much easier to copy the answers for this subject than for the Chinese language, assuming he had the answers beforehand.

“Fu Hua, I’m off to my exam.”

“…Alright, go on.”

Calling her Fu Hua felt strange. Before she became his master, he had always referred to her simply as Immortal. After she took on the role of his master, he started addressing her as Master. He had never addressed her as Fu Hua before, but that had a certain charm to it.

As Chen Heng stepped out, he glanced at Mo Qingtong’s villa.

Mo Qingtong hadn’t returned in the afternoon. Had she gone to the Mo Family’s mansion or somewhere else? Chen Heng wasn’t worried about her safety. If anything happened, Luo Li would let him know.
