Key to the Void: A self-made isekai

Change of plans

Hello everyone. Just wanted to inform everybody of a change in plans in regards to the hiatus I've been mentioning for a while now. Just recently, I finished chapter 135 on the Patreon release, and it had finally hit a very good stopping point. I am thinking about calling this the true end of book 3 rather than what I had on chapter 133 which I had considered making the end for a moment.

This means two things. One is that I will be releasing chapter 115 publicly right on schedule tomorrow somewhere around 24 hours from the release of this update. And, it also means the patreon version of Key to the Void is now on hiatus until the 1st book of Hell's Underworld is complete. However, I have also considered a few things and had a change of plans on what I plan to do in terms of public releases, and I would like to update everyone on that right now.

First, for people on my Patreon, I have altered my Patreon to be divided into 3 sections. There are two separate $5 tiers. One is for Key to the Void, and the other is for Hell's Underworld. I plan to have 10 advanced chapters of each series available on the respective packages. You will note, this means I will actually be drawing down the advanced chapters in the Key to the Void tier as it currently sits at 20 advanced chapters. However, for the patrons who are still there, I will be releasing chapters of Hell's Underworld on the Key to the Void tier until I have finished book 1 and am able to resume the release of the normal Key to the Void chapters. This will effectively make it so that Key to the Void patrons are getting a free upgrade to the all-access tier which contains advanced chapters from both series, and will continue to have advanced chapters of all series I produce if I happen to add any more to the offer.

In terms of the public release, this means that even though the Patreon version is now on Hiatus, public release readers will continue to receive weekly chapters until chapter 125 drops 10 weeks from now. At that time, I am hoping to have 20 chapters of Hell's Underworld written (I'm planning on releasing Patreon chapters of that series at a rate of 2 per week). As such, I will have enough prepared to drop several chapters for the release of Hell's Underworld all at once for it's initial public release. So long as people are willing to jump over to Hell's Underworld for a while, this will mean that there should be no interruption to the public releases of my writings.

Keep in mind, Hell's Underworld is a parallel shared-world story that takes place at the same time as Key to the Void. They share the same world and same time-line, and I plan to have several points in the story in which the two cross-over and the casts of each will meet each other. As explained before, Terlu, the gnome boy from Earth who Levin and Rolwen met, is the MC of Hell's Underworld. (So, yeah. The words he said to Levin and Rolwen at that time are sort of spoilers for Hell's Underworld as well.) The two series are meant to stand on their own, so you do not HAVE to read both. However, they should be rather interesting when considered together and enhance one another in several ways. I do also have plans for several sub-plots that will start in one story and get continued in the other. (What's happening with Nymph is one of those things. That thing's meant to straddle both stories for most of it's duration.) So, I do hope fans of Key to the Void will also enjoy Hell's Underworld when it finally drops.

That said, the public release is slated for late February, and until then I will be continuing to release Key to the Void until it goes on hiatus after chapter 125 is released on the same date as Hell's Underworld will be releasing. So, until then, enjoy.
