When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”
To reward her new strategy he wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her closer. Something she definitely approved of as her pout turned into a smile.
Himiko smirked wrapping her arms around his waist from behind and pressing herself against his back. "Have fun?" she asked.
He smirked. "It wasn't bad," he responded.
"Better than right now?" she teased. Both her and Momo were pressing their onto him seductively.
He shook his head. "Maybe? It could still be better," he teased back.
Momo bit her lower lip. Part of her didn't like Himiko and him having this conversation, but another wanted to be a part of it.
She pressed her head into the crook of his neck nuzzling him before teasing him with a kiss on the neck.
Himiko smirked watching Momo, but didn't say anything just enjoying the moment they shared. Unlike Momo she had long gotten over having to share James with others. Momo not as much, but it was improving slowly.
The singer that invited him up performed a few more songs before she swapped out with the next performer.
Everyone seemed relaxed enjoying the music and events of the celebration until the ball drop was nearing.
Quite a few of the girls around him grew nervous looking at the time and towards James. Some looked nervous, some excited, and some with expectation.
James was looking around and actually noticed a few of the girls he was close with sticking close to him. There were of course the usual suspects like Himiko, Momo and Mina. Even Tsuyu and Nemuri weren't very far off. Toru was surprisingly missing though.
Of course the whole class wasn't too far from one another, but the girls were noticeably gathered around him.
Once the countdown started along with the Time Square Ball's descent the whole crowd started going wild as the hosts hyped them up from the stage.
Before the ball actually fully dropped a naked Toru snuck up to him using her invisibility to hide from everyone. She quickly wrapped her arms around him giving him a kiss that quickly turned passionate as she slipped her tongue past his opened lips. He returned the kiss without hesitation, but it didn't last long. After stealing a kiss under all the other girls' noses just as quickly as she came she rushed off red with embarrassment seconds before the ball drop finished.
The first to actually kiss him after the ball dropped was Himiko who was already right next to him and didn't hesitate to kiss him publicly. Unafraid to show off their relationship as she enjoyed his lips.
Momo quickly pulled him away from Himiko. "Now it's my turn," she said and gave him an aggressive possessive kiss as if she wanted to override Himiko's kiss with her own.
James just went along with it returning the kiss. Eventually he had to break the kiss though as Momo wouldn't have stopped otherwise.
He noticed a somewhat shy Mina standing nearby looking troubled as if she wasn't sure what do do.
Unlike here James was sure about what to do though. He wrapped his arm around her waist pulling her in up against him and give her a kiss on the lips. She was stunned for a moment, but quickly melted into his embrace forgetting about the situation and simply enjoying the moment.
An involuntary moan escaped her lips.
Ochaco who was standing near Izuku caught a glimpse of them and gulped nervously.
Nemuri who was with them for safety reasons was looking on with a slight jealous glint in her eyes. She wanted to give him a New Year's kiss too, but couldn't publicly due to their relationship as teacher and student getting in the way.
Since he didn't want to leave Tsuyu out he went up to her and pulled her in as if he was going to give her a romantic kiss then gave her a peck on the cheek.
Tsuyu blushed ever so slightly. "That's not fair," she mumbled. She gave him a peck on the cheek back before quickly rushing to Mina and Toru, who had returned fully dressed once again, to escape from him.
He did the same with Itsuka and Kyoka though slightly less intimately than he had with Tsuyu as his relationship with those two had improved, but not to the same level. At least not yet.
Ibara and Ochaco were the real outliers. Ibara only allowed a congratulatory hug while Ochaco was more focused on and standing near Izuku with high expectations. Unfortunately Izuku was as oblivious to her intentions as usual leading to neither of them getting a New Year's kiss, much to the girls chagrin.
After giving him a few more moments to realise it without success she eventually stomped off and gave James a friendly hug instead before joining Mina, Toru and Tsuyu.
The night didn't last too long after the ball drop, at least not for them as they needed to pack up and head back the next day so they couldn't stay up too late. They only had another day after the return flight before it was time to go back to school, but everyone returned energised and ready for a new year.
