Chapter 176  Silence

  [And let the free-for-all fight begin!]

   The moment the start of the fight was announced by the instructor, Farhen immediately stretched his hands at Harry.    He felt like he had to eliminate Harry first, since out of all the students in the group, he was the one capable of giving him the most trouble.

   Channeling his mana, he hurriedly casted a spell.   "Water arrow!" He shouted. Almost instantly, a long, wide arrow made of water materialized in front of him.    The edges of the arrow was pointed, and the spell was filled with so much mana that even the stage one Elementalist around him felt a chill just by looking at it. Swoosh!

   With a simple mental command, the arrow immediately shot towards Harry, moving through the air with great speed.    Harry stared at the incoming arrow rapidly closing in on him, and his lips tugged into a light smile.    While the attack was very fast, it wasn't fast enough that he couldn't react to it, even without the use of [Accelerate].

   Just as the arrow was about to close in on him, Harry swiftly moved to the side.

   This caused the arrow to miss him completely, flying past him instead. The water arrow continued traveling in the air for a few seconds, before disintegrating into tiny blue particles.

   Farhen gritted his teeth in frustration when he saw how Harry easily evaded the water arrow.

   He was about to channel his mana for another spell, when Harry suddenly charged at him with insane speed.

   'Fast!' He thought, with his eyes widened in shock. However, he knew better than to let himself get distracted, he had to cast an enhancement spell, and fast!    Dan was also shocked at Harry's speed. He couldn't even follow it, his speed was so fast that it only seemed like blurs to him.

 'I knew it, he didn't just defeat Ria by sheer luck!' He thought, as he gritted his teeth in annoyance.

   Fortunately, he had already redirected his elemental mana in preparation for this, since he had somewhat expected it.

   "Wind's Grace!" He exclaimed, immediately casting a speed-boost spell.

   'Lightning Ball!' Harry quickly activated one of his skills, before stretching his palm towards Farhen.    A medium sized ball purely made of lightning instantly materialized in front of his hand, before shooting towards Farhen at rapid speed.

   The ball blitzed through the air at astonishing speed, leaving a small trail of lightning behind as it rapidly closed in on the elite Elementalist.    Farhen's eyes opened wide in shock, and he quickly tried to finish casting his spell. However, just before he could complete the incantation, the lightning ball abruptly closed in on him, crashing into his chest with tremendous power.

   "Arkgh!" He grunted in pain. The force behind the attack caused his back to arch backwards, and his body was instantly sent flying. Thwack!!

   He crashed against the ground, his body sliding for a few more seconds before stopping.

  It was as if his chest was smashed with a large boulder, and to make things worse, the lightning sparks from the ball kept sending shocks throughout his body.

   Dan, seeing that Harry just finished launching an attack, felt like this was his chance.

   An unnatural amount of wind suddenly fluttered around him, causing his clothes to flap loudly against each other.

  The wind greatly boosted his speed, and his agility rose to insane levels.

   Without wasting anytime, he immediately dashed at Harry, with one of his hands stretched towards the brown haired teenager.

   'Let's see how you react to this!' He thought, hurriedly preparing another spell.

    However, contrary to his expectations, Harry's head suddenly turned towards him, and a smug smile crept on his face.

   Dan's eyes widened in surprise, yet he pressed on without hesitation, firing off an attack spell instead.

   "Wind Slash!" He shouted, as he swung his hand towards Harry.

   As his hand moved, a long, thin slash swiftly took shape from the wind, before shooting towards Harry.

   Harry's brows furrowed slightly as he watched the slash slice through the air, rapidly closing in on him.

   However, instead of stepping back to avoid the slash, Harry hastily channeled a small portion of his energy into his feet, then brusted forward, propelling his body with the energy swirling in his legs.

   Dan's eyes widened in shock, and he couldn't help grit his teeth in frustration.    He had expected Harry to step back, or at least move to the side, and not charge forward.

   And there was also his insane speed that seemed to have gotten even faster for some reason. Despite already casting a spell to enhance his speed, he still couldn't properly follow Harry's speed.

   Just as the slash was about to land on him, Harry swiftly moved to the side, successfully escaping the attack, before charging towards Dan once more.

   A deep frown appeared on Dan's face, and he swiftly leapt backwards.

   Knowing Harry's strength, it was best to avoided a close combat with him, and he planned on keeping his distance.

   But just as he landed on the ground, Harry's figure suddenly vanished from his sight, causing his eyes to widen in shock.

Thwack!

   Before he could even react, a heavy punch landed on his stomach, causing a sudden sting of pain to shoot up from his abdomen.    "Arrrgh!" Dan let out a loud grunt of pain, with red veins popping in his eyes. It felt like the wind was knocked out of him, and his mouth opened in a sharp gasp of agony.

   His back arched backwards, and the sheer power behind the punch immediately sent his body flying by a few feet.

   He hurriedly tried to channel his mana, only to realize something strange. His mana, for some reason, had gone unstable!

  'What?! But… how?' Dan thought in disbelief, and his eyes widened in disbelief. His body crashed to the ground, creating a series of painful jolts that coursed through his body.

  As for Harry, his lips curled into a slight smile as he stared at the notification flashing across his eyes. [+2400EXP]    Just as his fists connected with Dan's stomach, he had activated [Mana steal], using that opportunity to steal some of the Elementalist's mana.

   As for how he was able to close in on the  Elementalist without him noticing, it was because he harnessed his energy into his legs, boosting his speed even further.

   'I would never pass on a chance to gain free EXP.' He mumbled inwardly, before closing the system notification.

   "Water Darts!" However, he wasn't able to relish in the excitement of gaining more EXP, when a loud shout suddenly drifted into her ears, breaking him out of his thoughts.

   He quickly turned to the direction where the shout came from, only to find seven water darts heading towards him at a rapid speed.

   Standing behind them was Farhen, who had one of his hands stretched towards him.

   He had a pained expression on his face, as he was still feeling the effects of the lightning sparks tingling around his chest with pain.    'Never have I seen a tier one spell contain so much.. power.' Farhen thought.

   A slight frown appeared on Harry's face, but he didn't panic despite the water darts rapidly closing in n him.

    At first, he wanted to activate [Accelerate] and then dodge all the darts by moving away from their trajectory, but he changed his mind.

   "Wind Blade!" He shouted, before swinging his hands towards the darts.

   Three blades instantly formed in front of him before shooting towards the darts.

   The blades flew through the air with astonishing speed, closing in the water darts within the blink of an eye.

   They sliced through the darts like they were made of paper, causing them to disintegrate into tiny blue particles.

   Farhen's expression sunk at this, and he couldn't help but curse under his breath.

   Harry simply flashed a smile at him, before suddenly dashing towards him.

   'Time to end this.' He thought.

   A deep frown appeared on Farhen's face when he saw the speed at which Harry was running at him, and he swiftly tried to cast another spell.    But before he could even channel his mana, Harry had already closed the distance between them.

   Unfortunately for him, the brown haired student was a lot faster than he was, and he couldn't even react to his speed.

   "Lightning Stun." Harry said just as he reached Farhen, swiftly grabbing the Elementalist's shoulder with his left hand.

   Lightning sparks immediately erupted around his fingertips, before speedily spreading throughout his hands.

  Since one of his hands was holding unto Farhen's shoulder, the lightning sparks didn't waste anytime before immediately spreading to Farhen's shoulder also.

   "Arrrghhh!" Farhen shouted in pain as he felt powerful, sharp lightning shocks rapidly course through his body, practically electrocuting him.

   To make things worse, his whole body was frozen due to the shocks, and he could only scream in pain and anguish.

   "Rock Fists." Harry muttered, before pulling his other fist backwards. Hard rock swiftly sprout up around his fists, hardening them into thick brown rocks.

   Putting his strength into his right fist, Harry delivered a powerful punch on Farhen's face.

   The poor Elementalist couldn't even react to the speed of the punch, and due to the shocks still coursing through his body, he couldn't move away even if he could.

Thwack!

   With a thunderous crack, Harry's clenched fist collided with Farhen's face, the impact echoing through the stage.      "Arrgh!!" Farhen grunted in pain as his head snapped back, and a spray of crimson droplets burst from his broken nose.   The sheer force of the punch sent him hurtling backward, his body crumpling like a marionette whose strings had been abruptly cut.    As he crashed to the ground, the entire hall seemed to shake from the sheer intensity of the blow, leaving an ominous silence in its wake.
