As I read the information about my new mission, I no longer feel as motivated as I did before. The previous two missions that I completed and received the rewards for did nothing for me except for almost 1000 dollars.

I feel like I'm being ripped off, even though I know that I'm not the only one feeling the effects of the rewards or that they will settle in my body over time.

"Looks like you're really good at gambling."

Uh, that was all luck.

"Well, I'm trying to improve my skills as much as I can, you never know when it might come in handy."

"It's no fun to gamble with a person who is a good gambler"

"I know."

"Shall we have a drink?"

"I don't drink alcohol, preferably."

"We have herbal tea."

We both arrived in the great hall and sat down and drank our drinks calmly, saying nothing and watching the crowd.

As I watched the men leading the women in a dance to some music, I started to feel calm. No matter how calmly I had been trying to deal with the situation since I found myself in this world, this was the only time when I really felt calm.

When I lifted the tea made from chamomile flowers and took a deep breath of it, I felt as if all the airways in my nose had widened and I could breathe easier.

During the action so far and the drifting around with the system's missions, I had formed a few ideas about what I wanted to do in the future, but they were more like survival plans than ideas.

I decided to come up with a plan to really be a part of the era I'm in while I'm calming down.

The real action of the Marvel universe will happen almost 70-80 years from now. I probably won't live that long, and honestly, I don't think I have to. The era I'm in has enough action and fun.

Sigh, who am I kidding?

It's nice that I don't have to worry about Thanos snapping his fingers or being destroyed by a Galaxy-sized monster called Dormammu. But it's not enough. And I want to see them with my own eyes, that's why I'm here.

What I need to think about now is how to extend my life span. The first thing that comes to my mind is the Super Soldier serum, but I don't think this serum extends people's lifespan, maybe it does. Unfortunately, the important thing is that I don't really have a way to get it other than stealing it.

One of the most important people for the super soldier project is sitting next to me drinking beer right now, and he's only doing this because he thinks I'm suspicious. Even if I manage to gain his trust and join the super soldier project, the ancient one might come after me because I will erase an important character like Captain America from history.

I think I should put the aging issue aside for now and think about something more realistic. If something special comes up again, like the super soldier serum, I need to climb to a position of importance where I can legally obtain it.

The system seems determined to bring me closer to Howard Stark. Maybe if I can work things out with the guy next to me and get close to Howard, I can become one of the founders of SHIELD.

And if I somehow manage to extend my life after that, welcome to the US presidency.

It's a non-detailed but workable plan. Let's see how much the system's missions interfere with my plan.

"Michael, I'm only gonna ask you this once. Who the fuck are you?"

"A non-ordinary American citizen."

"What do you mean by "non-ordinary American citizen"?"

"I know more about this war than you can imagine"

"Like what?"

"Are you sure you want to talk here?"

Commander Philips looked into my eyes for a moment before he finished the beer and told me to follow him and started walking towards the hotel kitchen. We walked through the kitchen where people were working hard, out the back door of the hotel, and into an alley.

"Talk."

"Hydra"

"An organization under Hitler"

"Actually, no. The organization known as Hydra is currently operating under Hitler, but it's a different threat altogether. And lately, Hitler and this organization have become estranged. My guess is that they will soon become independent again."

"How do you know such important information?"

Commander Philips' face showed that he didn't believe me when he said those words. But the important thing is not whether he believes me or not, but that what I said is going to happen soon. Maybe it is even happening right now.

"For the last few years, I have been traveling to many countries and making a living by trading among small groups of people, or rather, life had forced me to do so. When some money became available, I took the opportunity to leave my old life behind and return to the mainland. The information I just shared with you was so that I could feel that I had done my duty as an American citizen."

As I was about to leave my last words behind and head back to the hotel, I heard a sound that I heard for the first time but I knew it was the sound of a gun preparing to fire.

"A man from out of nowhere suddenly appears in front of me and gives me information about an organization called Hydra that we know very little about and most of the members of the organization don't even know about. Isn't that suspicious?"
