MHA: Fear the Nurarihyon

Chapter 11 – Once Again, Himiko

Speaking of quirks... I had a question in mind that I needed to investigate further.

Why could I see the invisible girl? Even now, her beautiful face resting on the table was visible.

"What are you looking at, Saiki-kun?" She asked curiously as she tilted her head to the side.

For someone invisible, she had various expressions and emotions more than anyone else.

"Nothing." I shook my head and focused on the class again. "You're beautiful, that's all."

"Ah!" Her face flushed red and she covered it with her hands. But then, she raised her head and shouted, "I am invisible, you know? There is no way you can see my face! How can you say that I am beautiful when you can't see me?"

"I just know."

My reply silenced her as she stared at me in confusion. I smirked as I looked at Aizawa, who was talking about the curriculum for this semester.

Afterward, the class was dismissed.

"Do you want to have some bites? I know a good cafe around here."

I invited both Yaoyorozu and Hagakure to go out for lunch, and they gladly accepted my offer. The former was especially excited.

"A cafe? Is there a cute menu they offer?" She asked as she looked at me with a curious expression.

"Yes, there are a lot of good options, especially desserts." I replied with a smile. "You'll see when we get there."

"Let's go then!" She cheered as we walked out of the school together.

Hagakure was quiet next to me as she walked with a pout on her face. She felt left out, huh?

So I patted her on the back and comforted her.

"There are some good options for you too, Hagakure-san."

She didn't answer me back, but she looked relieved at my words.

Because of that, the three of us went together to a cafe. The menu was varied and delicious, and I even ordered a special drink for both of them as a treat.

I had a theory in mind, and I needed to confirm it today.

"How is your cake, Yaoyorozu-san?" I asked the black-haired girl in front of me. She had just taken a bite of her strawberry cake and looked surprised at my question.

"It's delicious! They use real strawberries and not artificial syrup. It's better than I expected."

She smiled in appreciation. I nodded at her and turned to the invisible girl beside me.

"How about yours, Hagakure-san? Does it taste good?"

She nodded with a hum in her mouth. Her cheek bloated from the food, which made me chuckle lightly.

As soon as she finished eating her food, she asked for a refill of water and drank it in one gulp.

"Puhaa! That was so good! It's been a while since I ate something so tasty!" She exclaimed with her fists pumped up in the air.

I smiled as I watched her with a calm expression on my face. So that confirmed my theory.

'Yeah, my theory is shit.'

I tried to act casual as I continued asking questions to both of them. But after a while, we separated and returned home.

And what was my theory?

It was that they were not invisible, but rather a creation of my mind. But no, I just could see Hagakure. I didn't care anymore about the truth.

One thing for sure, this world was more complicated than I thought it would be.

"Oh no, I need to go right now. I have a promise with my family." Yaoyorozu interrupted my thoughts as she finished her cake. "I am sorry, I forgot about it."

"No worries, Yaoyorozu-san. Enjoy your time with your family." I waved at her.

"Y-Yes, enjoy your time. See you tomorrow!"

"Thank you, let's meet again soon!"

She waved back before rushing out of the cafe with a slight blush on her cheeks. There was a car waiting for her outside, which probably belonged to her family.

I watched her go before turning to Hagakure, who was sipping on her cup of coffee slowly. Her eyes were cast downward as if she was lost in her thoughts.

'She must be shy.'

"So, Hagakure... Or rather, can I just call you Tooru?" I asked as I looked her directly in the eyes.

"Huh? Sure. Can I call you Kuro then?" She replied with a small smile.

"Of course."

After that, we chatted a little about what happened during the exam and our thoughts on this semester.

As we talked, I wondered if my approach worked with her. I decided to test it a little.

"Right, Tooru. When we fought earlier, I felt like I hit something... soft. Was that your body?" I asked in curiosity.

Her face flushed red as she stared at me with wide eyes.

"F-Forget about that. Uuuh, and I tried my best to forget it. Why did you remind me?" She stuttered as she touched her head shyly. "I still feel bad about my performance."

"It's okay. You were nervous." I chuckled as I sipped on my tea. "I see... So that's either your butt or chest."

I made a motion with my hand as I looked at her face in amusement. She was getting flustered by the second and looked like she was going to explode.

"D-Don't look at me! I am invisible, okay?! Kuro-kun, you're such a meanie!"

"Hahaha, sorry. That was the first time that I... uhh... touched a girl's body so intimately."

"Geez, I forgive you but don't do that again." She huffed and crossed her arms. "You're a weird guy, Kuro-kun. But it's kind of refreshing to talk to you."

"Glad to hear that." I smiled at her softly as we continued to chat together.

And like that, we became close friends.

We finished our drinks and said goodbye to each other. But before we parted ways, a voice stopped us.

"Ah, Kuro!"

The energetic yet familiar voice belonged to none other than my other friend from the bad side, Himiko. She saw me and walked toward us with a bright smile on her face. When he saw that I was with a girl, albeit invisible, she grinned and spread her arms, circling them around my neck and pulled me.

"Chu~"

Her lips pressed against mine as she hugged me tightly.
