Milf Harem In Another World

Chapter -03.

Chapter 3.

"Callum, I told you to bring Lucien to Mr James's pharmacy, but instead you brought him here?" The woman said, busting open the door quickly and walking in. She was wearing a provocatively pleated red dress with a deep V-neck that accentuated her mature beauty.

Lucian and Callum recognized the woman at a glance. It was Miss Diana, who now looked like a fiery red hot pepper; something everyone wants to have a taste of but is afraid of getting burned.

But Angela, who could not connect with such thoughts, placed the two porcelain vials she was carrying on the table, looked at the allring Diana and asked, "Excuse me, but what do you mean by what you just said? Are you trying to imply that my little arrangement is ineffective or are you calling it a sham?"

"Oh, I'm sorry if that's how you felt," Diana said, looking at Angela, then walked over to Lucian, who was looking at the two of them, and pointed to the scars on his body, "But I don't want to see these scars remaining forever on this beautiful, strong body. Is it wrong to want this? You're also a woman, so tell me?"

'I'm a woman, but what does that have anthing to do with a scar?' Angela, who had been a little angry after hearing Diana badmouthing her humble establishment, now looked at her in confusion.

Isn't it normal for wounds to leave scars?

However, Diana skillfully ignored Angela's confusion and looked at Lucian, "This isn't the first time I've told you to give up your stubbornness in becoming a knight. The dream you pursue requires connections to important people and, above all else, talent. And what's more, you won't starve if you don't pursue your dream, as there's always a open vacancy for you at my perfume shop."

"Did she just say I have no talent?" Lucian muttered trying to make sense of Diana's long-winded rant, but Callum, standing nearby, laughed, quickly covering up his laughter with a fake clearing of the throat.

Cough.

Lucien gives Callum a sharp look, which made him shut up immediately; though he wasn't hurt by callum's attempt to laugh at his misfortune. But as a friend, couldn't he just refute what Miss Diana said?

Well, since his friend didn't do anything, he would stand up for himself, even if it pained his whole wounded body. Lucien looks at Miss Diana and tries to express his thoughts. "Miss Diana, should I—" but before he gets two or three words out, she interrupts him, saying, "How many times do I have to explain to you that you can either just call me Diana, or Aunt Diana, is it that hard?"

'So this is what my predecessor had to go through.'

Lucian knew from the memories of his predecessor that Miss Diana had an overbearing personality, but he didn't think she would be this overbearing.

But he couldn't be rude to Diana, because she was one of the few people who really cared about him and thought well about him. So he simply said, "Aunt Diana, I'm sorry for being talentless. How long will I be a burden to you? I know you worry about me, but I want to do something to show you that it was not a mistake for you to have me by your side and to take care of me all these years."

Although Lucian remembered his predecessor's memories, he had never been in a similar situation, so he couldn't help but utter such a hackneyed phrase. Now that he had said it, he had no choice but to wait for Aunt Diana's reaction.

But for several minutes there was no response, and in fact the atmosphere in the apothecary became a little awkward. Callum, Angela, and Aunt Diana all looked at him like he was somekind of a pitiful creature.

And Diana, whose expression had been stern a few minutes ago, regained some kind complexion, 'My dear Lucian, I never knew you thought like this. I am ashamed to call myself one who wishes you well. But don't worry, I will take better care of you from now on.'

Lucian had noticed that the three of them were looking at him strangely, and suddenly felt a shiver run down his spine, as if some disaster was about to befall him.

And before this horrible feeling could grow stronger, Lucian looked at Angela and said, "Miss Angela, now that the misunderstanding has been cleared up, can you treat me? you see its quite cold in here."

Lucian had barely said the words, and the three of them were already brought out of their reverie, Miss Diana's expression became stern again, and she looked at Angela and said, "Miss Angela, is this how your apothecary treats its patients? by letting them shiver in cold. If you don't want to treat him, I'll be happy to take him to Mr. James's pharmacy."

Lucian, who thought he was safe now, almost hit his forehead when he saw Angela and Diana glaring at each other.

However, Angela, as if she would do anything to protect her honor as a pharmacist, did not say a word to Diana, but picked up the two porcelain vials on the table and walked towards Lucian, then slowly turned around and said, "You two, please wait outside if you don't mind. Having such a crowd in my shop will only distract me."

"You...?" Diana shot Angela an angry look, realising immediately that Angela was just trying to get her out of there.

It looked like Diana wasn't going to take this lightly, but when she looked at Lucian sitting in his chair, trembling, she just turned around and walked out of the apothecary without a word, followed by Callum, who left after smilling and waving at Lucian.

Once the door had closed, Lucian breathed a sigh of relief, knowing very well that either Aunt Diana or Callum would have done or say something strange. He looked at Angela and said, "I apologise for both of them. They're not bad people, they just talk a little more open mindedly then others."

Angela smiled as she poured the potion from a porcelain vial onto a clean cloth. "There's no need to apologise. There were same people with me a few years ago who seemed to care too much about me. So i know how hard it is to take care of them." But the last words were heavy for her to say, and she had a very hard time saying them.

Lucien wanted to continue the conversation and make a good impression on Angela, but when he felt the heaviness in her voice and the stiff atmosphere around Angela, he decided it was best to say nothing and sit there quietly until his treatment was finished and Angela allowed him to go home and asked him to come to her apopthecary again for the checkup.
