[Gundam Nova]

 

March 10th, I.J.C 200, Metalica’s Restrict zone.

 

In my life, there are only so many things that I would be mad about, and someone, threatening the safety of my precious person, my friend. It is one of those. Right now, all I feel is cold, my skin is so sensitive to the point that even just a little surge of wind manages to make me shiver.

 

I want to break stuff, but I can’t, I have priority, I have someone to save. “We turn left here My lady,” Following Odis, who has been guiding me through the street, toward the narrow alleyway, following the sign of scuffle, and asking around. 

 

My feet never stopped moving, and my heart was slowly beating. I was forcing myself to stay calm, I was. But I don’t think I could hold back anymore, if…if I saw something happened to her. I would break, I would not be able to control myself. a colony like this… should disappear. 

 

I can make it, I can do it. I just need to word it out and everything will be gone, if not I will just destroy it myself, hacking into this will be easy as pie and no one will know. 

 

‘You thought about starting to go into the crazy side, calm down.’ The man that was running with me, but no one seemed to notice him said to me, wanting me to calm myself, then slowly, the memory of our past conversation started to come back.

 

‘You unstable since you were a child, it's because your mother was there with you. But since she left your fuse was starting to ignite again, huh?’ He said as I was running at full speed after Odis as he made another turn.

 

‘If you are not going to help, shut up.’ I said in my mind, focusing on the front.

 

‘What? I can’t help you, y’know? I’m just something you make up or maybe I’m really just a ghost but the point is, I can’t see anything you didn’t see. I’m just a memory here to affirm what you want to believe.’

 

“My lady, there is a footprint here, 4 of them, one is that of a small child and a teenager the other two are of a man's shoe, a large one and the smaller one should also be a man, and from the footprint, it seems they recently pass through this,” Odis told me his analysis and started running after the trail. 

 

I followed after him, while my focus was on the man next to me.

 

‘Klara is a girl you designate as a new detonator, if something happened to her, the fuse would be ignited and you would blow up, isn’t that right?’

 

‘That's not true! She is my friend, and I was worried about her wanting to help a friend.

 

‘Oh! Nothing wrong with that! But is your thought really that of a friend? From what I observe you see her more like an object-’

 

‘You're wrong!’ My mind was screaming, racing as my thought was to find a way to refute this thing next to me.

 

‘No, I was right! You were thinking of Klara as an object of adoration, and that would make you feel normal, but honestly? I don’t care about that, I’m you but Hey I was the past you, so you doing this isn’t my doing.’

 

‘You just found someone to hold you together and you are not willing to let that person get hurt in any way. you breaking already, Honestly, I don’t really understand, I don’t think I was ever that sensitive about My parent, I mean they died while I was a bit young but I got through it, so I don’t understand why you breaking do-’

 

‘She is not dead! She is still alive! That's why she gave that Box to Stephan, it will lead me to her! I just need to be an ace, inherit the damn house, and  then-’

 

Bang!

 

The sound of a gunshot broke my attention, I stopped on my track and instantly changed my direction toward where I heard the gunshot, Odis tried to yell at me but I ignored him. My heart was racing, my mind was throbbing, as the image was starting to appear to me, the slow-moving boat, the sound of the waves, the low hum of a whale.

 

‘Sleep well, Yoha. And goodbye’ the last word of her, was ringing in my mind.

 

“Kya!” The screaming of Anna, the older child rings across my mind and I intently turn to see the back of a man, holding a gun. 

 

‘no….I won’t let anything go.’

 

My feet moved before I knew it, and the large man was turning his head toward me. There was a shocked look on his face, but before he could truly turn around, I launched a straight kick into his knee, with all my strength.

 

I could hear the sound of something breaking, the scream of the man, the sound of metal hitting the ground and another bullet that was fired, but I didn’t care about any of that, the moment the man fell down I got on top of him, and start to use every ounce of my strength into my punch and deliver it straight to his face, repeatedly.

 

My knuckle hurt, it was wet as the sound of a crack ring over my ear every time I punched, I heard a scream but I didn’t care, the only thing I know is I should get rid of him, get rid of the danger, the danger that would put Klara at risk, that right, it’s my duty, I fail one time and I won’t fail again. 

 

The sound continued to ring, the man didn’t get up, and my knuckle was wet with red water, it was sticky and unpleasant, but I continued until I could feel someone touch my body,

 

“My lady-!”

 

“Release me at once! This man is still alive! Release me!” I threw my elbow to try and hit his stomach, but he dodged it and threw me to the ground. 

 

“Please come back. My lady! The two are safe!” Safe? Safe!? As long as that ugly man is still around there is no way she will be safe!

 

“No! AS LONG AS HE-”

 

“Yoha!” The voice, the sweet voice that draws my attention. Klara…was standing there, holding Anna’s hand, her face was… resolute, unknown to fear but the little red bag under her eyes showed that she was crying… I need to go. I need to go…comfort her.

 

“Release me, Odis. That man is still alive, send him to hospital and get every information out of him, also the guy at the back, take care of him.” I told him, staring past Klara toward the building behind her, I saw it. The little clothing that was peeking from behind the building, I could feel the malice from him. 

 

It seemed he noticed me as he was starting to panic and run away but Odis quickly got off me and ran after him.

 

I got up, and my hand…hurt, I slowly reached for my handkerchief but it wasn’t there…no good…it would get infected, I needed to clean it.

 

Where…where? Where? Where?

 

Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my hand and my voice was coming out before I could stop it.

 

“S-sorry, It hurts? I…Don’t know how to bandage.” Klara’s voice, the calm voice of the girl in front of me…was soothing. Like I was listening to the waves of the ocean…again.

 

“O-OI! What are you doing!?” I don’t know…My body moves on its own. I heard the beating heart that was racing as if it was an engine, her warm, her everything down to even her breathing.

 

“I’m sorry…Please…Don’t leave me…” My voice cracked, at the word from my mind, the word I wanted to say to her, “I’m sorry…for being a bad girl. I’m sorry, so don’t leave me...Sniff…Don’t leave me, again…”

 

“...Shh…Don’t worry. Yoha, I won’t go anywhere. You're tired, right? Sleep well-”

 

“No! I won’t…If I….If I…sleep…you will disappear…You will leave…me again…”

 

The soft hand, slowly caressing my head, I could feel my eyes beginning to drop, but I didn’t want to sleep…because…if I do that…she…will…

 

“Yoha, I won’t go anywhere…Don't worry. I will stay with you, here and everywhere you go.

 

My body was tired, my legs were shaking, and my eyes were struggling to stay open…just like…that…time.

 

“Sleep well, Yoha.” The word was like a curse. but…I can’t seem to resist them…as my eyes were slowly being closed, I saw a glimpse of a smile. The smile seems to overlap with her, overlap with Ma…mother.

 

March 10th, I.J.C 200, Metalica’s restrict zone Klara’s POV.

 

I could feel Yoha's body slump over mine, her breathing was starting to slow down, and her heart that was beating like crazy starting to calm down, her body too, from the extremely hot was turning cold, not like a corpse but more like a sick person that was going through Hypothermia, what more…her eyes…I thought I was imagining it but… her bright red eye of her, I saw it change, turning from bright red to gold, a very rare color, in the first place red is a rare color on its own, or at least her eye's shade was. 

 

Most people with ‘Red’ eyes would often resemble Orange more than anything. But she was truly Red. like the color of blood…no more like ruby, that is why I always thought her eyes were beautiful. But just now, I saw a glimpse of her eyes, it was gold, and there was no way people's eyes could just change to a different color like that.

 

So, maybe it is something about her genetics? Gold eyes… are a very rare color, I don’t think there are any natural gold colors, at least not here, I have never seen that shade of color on anyone's eyes before. 

 

Even when I was in Elysium where many kids wear Eye contact to change the color of their eyes to their liking, there was nothing close to her color, the natural gold.

 

Then, just when I was deep in my thoughts, I heard several loud footsteps. 

 

Shit! Is it the gang?! 

 

Just as I was about to run with Yoha who was out cold, it was too late, the steps were too close to even run now. I hold Yoha close to me, looking back and holding the hand of Anna who was shaking in her boots.

 

“My lady!” Then, my worry was instantly melted, as the woman appeared, face full of worry as she rushed out of the mob, the soldier was behind her, holding guns as they marched forward. 

 

Hanya quickly rushes toward me, taking Yoha into her arms as she scans everything from her face down to her feet. “H-her hand! Medic! Get here!” She quickly calls for a medic before turning her attention to me. “You kids didn’t get hurt, right?’ She asks and I nod at her.

 

“No, I just scraped a little bit when I fell down but other than that, we didn’t get hurt,” I said and turned to Anna, she just shook her head, she was just scared and didn’t get hurt.

 

“I see, I see…good! If you got hurt, I don’t know what the Young Lady would do…” Her last words were a whisper, I didn’t manage to hear it but from the scared look on her face, I didn’t think it was a good thing. 

 

“Well, let's start with what happened. How did you get into this situation? And Do you know about this…gang?” Ah, so she asks about this.

 

I told her about everything, that I was with Yougi doing the construction work, about how we were getting Anna and were about to return but fell into a trap of the gang, I got separated from Yougi as he ran the other way, and how I was coroner when that fat man pulls out a gun and how Yoha suddenly appears and beat the living shit out of the man.

 

“Ah…That is going to be a problem, is there more? Do you know about this gang?” I shake my head at Miss Hanya's question, I don’t know about them, so she turns toward Anna.

 

Big sis Anna was still in shock but saw that Miss Hanya’s eyes fell on her, she swallowed her saliva before speaking.

 

“T-they are…people that lost their home and work, I think they are from Side 7…Other than that I don’t know anything more.” She said with a shaky voice.

 

“Yosh! Then let us get out of here…where’s Odis?”

 

“Here.” Just as Miss Hanya starts to question where he is, Mister Odis suddenly appears and drops a guy on the floor. “Take him and the guy over there to the hospital, once they wake up, call me. I will interrogate them myself.”

 

He said to one of the Military men, and from the number of badges on his chest, he was probably a top dog.

 

“Well, about that Sir, I think I should-”

 

“Utter one more word and you will be demoted immediately, try me and I will show you what it means to oppose Ottoman.” Odis quickly shut the guard up and turned his attention toward Yoha. 

 

He kneels down next to the medic and starts asking about her condition. Once he got all the information, he let the medic do their thing and move to us, then, out of nowhere he just chopped the head of Miss Hanya?!

 

“Why!?” She asks as she holds her head in pain

 

“What took you so long?”

 

“Well, I’m sorry that the military here wasn’t really willing to work!’ Everyone was stiff at her word, but the one who completely stopped moving was the guy with a lot of badges.

 

Odis’s eyes turn to the soldiers and they quickly turn their heads away.

 

“I see. Let’s move away from here, the young lady may get infected if she stays here. We will move her to the Hospital.” I nod to him and then we start to move. Wincing a bit as my leg hurt.

 

Anna quickly came to help me, but I was more concerned with Yoha.

 

“Mr Odis, May I stay with her?” I ask him while pointing at Yoha, He simply looks at me before turning away.

 

“The young Lady will be pleased if you were there by her side and we need to treat your leg too.” 

 

We walked out of the alleyway, and I found a car already with several cars following behind it. The medics quickly took Yoha away on a stretcher. Mr.Odis pushes me forward, toward the car with Yoha, and I just get in.

 

“Don’t worry about her, I swear that everyone in the Orphanage will be safe. So Please stay with her…I think she should have someone she trusts to stay with.” I nodded to him but his words stuck with me. 

 

Someone she trusts. I’m…that one person. I feel happy hearing that. I sat next to Yoha as the car was driven away, holding her hand.
