Mulgore Hotel in Marvel

Chapter 11 The Second

"Spell?"

"Resonating with the elements?"

"Phil, are you really kidding?"

Fast forward to the weekend, and in the conference room on the 22nd floor of the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters building, a dozen agents were sitting casually on chairs with their legs crossed. When Colson finished his opening remarks on the podium, the sealed conference room was suddenly in an uproar.

Sitting here are all the elite agents that Nick Fury considers to be the most trustworthy and reliable. They rushed back to SHIELD headquarters after receiving a temporary call, and "Hawkeye" Krillin, who is known as the best archer on earth. Tur Barton was among them.

This handsome middle-aged man with short blond hair and a cold face leaned on a row of seats with his arms spread out. He had a pair of sharp eyes, but now these eyes were full of doubts. He turned around and saw Natasha Romanoff, the "Black Widow" who also looked surprised.

"Natasha, do you think Phil is talking nonsense?"

The red-haired female agent smiled indifferently, "Phil never lies, but I also find this kind of thing incredible."

Hawkeye nodded, "I think so too. But if Phil can't come up with more convincing evidence, then today's lesson won't have any meaning...eh?"

Before he finished speaking, he saw flames suddenly appear in Phil Colson's hand, and with a "whoosh" sound, it even set a few of his hair on fire.

The whole place was in an uproar!

Coulson hurriedly extinguished the flames in his hair, and said with an embarrassed look on his face: "Sorry, my control over the elements is still very shallow, so... now you have all seen that spells do exist, even if you guys I think this is just a legend, but it’s right in front of you!”

No one in the audience answered, they were all in shock - even more shocked than Coulson and Simmons had been in the Mulgore Hotel a few nights ago.

The reason is simple. Phil Coulson is very popular in SHIELD, and these people are very familiar with him. For a colleague who knew everything about him and got along day and night, suddenly one day he showed off his fire magic, which shocked the people around him even more.

Colson took a deep breath and tried to make the flame element as gentle as possible. He formed a small fireball in the palm of his hand. He held it flat and interrupted the discussion in the audience, "In a very long time, For a long time, like everyone else, I did not believe in the real existence of magic, spells, witchcraft and other supernatural phenomena, until three days ago, I personally experienced this incredible truth."

"Spells are not the product of magic and imagination, but actual natural rules! As long as we meet specific talent conditions, we can feel it and master it through systematic learning..."

As soon as these words were spoken, the atmosphere in the audience immediately exploded.

"Rules? Can you learn them?"

Coulson did not stop the agents from talking. He nodded: "As you heard, yes!"

Someone yelled, "Phil, what kind of testing do we need to have what you call... 'talent'?"

Colson put his right hand together, extinguished the fireball, and replied with a smile: "This is the purpose of today's lesson."

The ups and downs of the voice echoed in the conference room, and everyone seemed to be possessed, closing their eyes, trying to find the vast and unpredictable world.

"Eagle Eye" Clint was the first to give up. He opened his eyes with a wry smile, looked at Colson's concerned eyes, shook his head and said: "Phil, I can't do it... I don't know if I am like this." However, as soon as I close my eyes, past experiences always appear in my mind, which makes it impossible for me to calm down."

"Me too..." Natasha also opened her eyes and shook her head with regret.

More and more elite agents gave up meditating in disappointment. They looked at each other, shook their heads, and whispered, feeling somewhat regretful about their performance.

Colson sighed softly, recalling Kausu's advice to himself, and whispered to himself: "Yes, I understand! The path of pursuing the truth is always lonely, but even if there is one..."

"Peng" an inaudible voice sounded from the corner. Although the voice was extremely weak, in front of this group of elites, whose lowest level was six-level agents, this unusual voice that should not exist in this conference room quickly attracted their attention.

Almost everyone turned their heads reflexively and looked at the female agent sitting in the corner with surprise.

She was a cold beauty with short black hair and a proud figure. She had a resolute face and a heroic spirit. Even though most people were sitting there lazily, she still sat upright and meticulously.

And in the palm of her hand, a small blue flame rose up. It seemed that it would go out in the next second, but it still swayed stubbornly, exuding bursts of cold air.

"Maria Hill?"

Colson couldn't help but feel a burst of joy. When he saw the blue flames clearly, his expression became a little strange. He hurriedly walked to her side and whispered, "Maria, congratulations! The water element has responded to your call, You don’t need to deliberately maintain the shape of the flame. Water has no fixed shape. How about you imagine it as...a ball of water?"

"I'll try..." Hill swallowed hard, staring closely at the water element in his hand, trying his best to change its shape. But it had the opposite effect. Not only did the blue flames not change at all, but they went out with a "pop" and the blue cloud quickly dissipated in the air.

Maria Hill showed a disappointed expression, but Coulson was extremely excited, and most of the agents around him also looked envious.

So far, the course has successfully achieved the two goals expected: allowing these SHIELD elites to personally experience the existence of the mysterious side, and the emergence of a second elemental affinity person!

And the second person who met the talent needs appeared, which made Colson even more ecstatic. If he were a proficient inheritor of Chinese culture, he would definitely say the famous saying that has been passed down through the ages: "I am not alone in my way!"

Among the crowds of people who were busy congratulating Maria Hill, there were a few people with wandering eyes, looking at each other and nodding slightly. After Colson announced the end, they all stood up and quickly left the conference room.

About half an hour later, one of them appeared in front of the office of Alexander Pierce, the former director of SHIELD and the only one with tenth-level agent authority, and knocked on the door.

"Brock Rumlow, I remember you should be in California at this time!"

Pierce, who was white-haired and upright, did not stand up. Instead, he motioned for Rumlow to close the office door. He turned a signature pen between his fingers and asked with a playful look, "Nick asked you to come back? What's the big deal?" What's the situation?"

"Yes!" Rumlow looked a little pale, "Mr. Pierce, I have important information to report!"

"I think you need to check the surveillance of the conference room on the 22nd floor now!"
