My Adopted Family

31. Maya

Maya took out a few sheets of A4 paper and placed them in front of her junior.

"This is a copy of the psychiatric diagnosis that Ryker submitted to the professor."

"Psychiatry?"

The junior read the paper held out by Maya with suspicious eyes.

Post-traumatic stress disorder. Depressive disorder. Avoidance of public relations. Claustrophobia, Adjustment disorder. Sleep disturbance. Anorexia. Throw up. Panic attack.

It was a medical certificate that seemed to list mental illnesses by type.

"As a result of the aftereffects of being abused by his biological parents, Ryker continues to suffer from mental disorders. The medical certificate was submitted to the professor saying that group activities such as MT or group assignments would be difficult due to a poor mental state."

"Is this real? At this level, shouldn't he be hospitalized instead of going to school?"

Maya shook her head at the junior, who opened her eyes wide.

"As long as there is no external stimulation, there is no problem. The most important thing is that he want to continue attending school and adapt to social life little by little. We were also asked by the professor to help Ryker graduate safely."

"I see… Then, I will be by your side to help Ryker adapt well to school."

Bang!

Before the junior could finish speaking, Maya stood up and slammed her fist on the desk.

"I was told not to stimulate it from the outside, but because of a some bitch like you, Ryker missed school for a month last year too,"

"What?"

Maya suddenly becomes angry and raises her voice.

The surprised junior cringed and asked back.

"It's because a thoughtless woman like you was following him around like a stalker and Ryker had a seizure! Thanks to that, he didn't come college for a while month."

"Why are you so angry at me? I'm not like that..."

After hearing the junior's words, Maya barely sat down. She held back tears from her extremely tired face and took a deep breath to swallow my anger.

"So, what happened to him?"

"I want to know?"

"No."

Maya handed out another piece of paper to the junior, who was swallowing his words.

"Sign here. This is an application to join the club."

"Hey, I already thought about other club?"

"It doesn't matter if you sign up our clubs . Because we are not doing anything special. It's just a sign that you will follow the principles set by our club."

When Junior looked closely, she saw that the text written at the top of the paper was not a 'membership application form' but a 'pledge.'

The junior, who had skimmed the content, said with a dissatisfied expression.

"But what is the good of joining here? It seems like there are only behavioral restrictions and no merits."

Then Maya took out a photo from his upper pocket, and the junior's eyes moved along the photo.

"Ryeker, high school uniform photo."

After hearing that, the junior waved her arm to take the photo away.

However, Maya withdrew her hand faster. Her junior's hand split the air.

The junior who missed the swing looked angry.

"Aren't you a senior a stalker? Having photo of someone else, and using it like this."

"You don't have to worry. Because I also obtained the consent of the guardian."

"Guardian?"

"There's nothing to tell the outsider about that. So, do you want to sign or not?"

The junior frowned and read the contents of the pledge once again.

The text was long, but in summary, it was about everyone working together to help Ryker graduate from school safely.

If you sign here, you will no longer be able to approach Ryker.

However, there was no guarantee that she would be able to become close to Ryker even if she did not sign.

There will definitely be interference like today. Perhaps these people will mark her more thoroughly.

Even if she had succeeded in sneaking up on Ryker, she didn't know how the mentally unstable Ryker would react.

What if Ryker has a seizure and doesn't come to school because of her?

She couldn't imagine what would happen to this group of fanatical female students.

"All right. Can I write my name here?"

So, another collaborator was added to the bird-watching club that day.

The junior put the photo she received from Maya into her wallet and left, humming.

"Then, since today's work is done, let's all disperse."

Following Maya's words, the members also greeted each other and left the club room.

"Whoa…."

The club room has become quiet.

Maya, who was left alone, quietly took something out of her pocket.

It was a smartphone.

She unlocked it by pressing her fingerprint and stroked the phone screen lovingly.

"Ryker…♡"

On the smartphone screen, Ryker and a woman, both wearing school uniforms, stood side by side, smiling.
