“Mr. Takumi, sorry to disturb your rest. Dinner is ready, so please come down to the dining hall. …But if you are too tired, we could bring it up to your room?”

“Ah, no. I was just relaxing a little. I will head down there immediately. Liza, you can sleep after you eat, alright?”

“Yes… I’m hungry, so I’ll eat!”

“Wuff!”

As I was relaxing in my room, there was a knock on the door and Ms. Gelda entered.

And while she offered to bring food to my room, I preferred to eat with everyone else.

Mr. Ekenhart and Ms. Claire would be there, and I wanted to know what had happened with Rahle.

Though, Ms. Anne would probably not come down.

As for Leo, she got up as soon as she heard dinner being mentioned.

She was even wagging her tail.

In any case, we had better eat while Liza was awake. And so we followed Ms. Gelda to the dining hall.

“Hmmm… What happened…?”

“There was so much more food when we ate in the forest. …Because there was so much orc meat.”

“Kyau…”

“It does look like there is less than usual…?”

“Wuff?

When we arrived at the dining hall, I saw that everyone but Ms. Anne was present. And then the food was served.

However, Mr. Ekenhart and the others looked at the food suspiciously.

Sherry even sounded sad.

It seemed rather plain compared to what we usually ate.

No, it was clear that it took a lot of effort to make. However, after eating orc meat in the forest, it did lack impact.

Even if the appearance and taste was probably good, the portions also looked small.

Perhaps we had gotten too used to the orc meat…

The meat dish looked like it could be eaten with just a single bite.

“Mmm…and I was looking forward to eating Helena’s cooking after we returned…”

“Father, it looks delicious.”

“The presentation is great, there is no doubt. And look at this bread…well, it’s also small.”

The bread was about the size of my palm.

And though it was small, it was in the shape of a dog or wolf. Perhaps it had been modeled after Leo.

It was so well made that I almost hesitated to eat it.

When we were in the forest, the cooking had gotten a lot simpler after the fenrirs joined us. And so Mr. Ekenhart had been looking forward to eating something specially prepared upon our return.

Ms. Lyra’s cooking was good, but it was human nature to want to eat something that was more elaborate.

Though, the ideal would be to be able to eat a lot of food that was also delicious and well made.

“I’m sorry. After His Grace went to the forest, Ms. Helena started experimenting with the food.”

“Oh, is that right? Well, while it is nice to look at, what of the portions? Well, I suppose I should not complain, but…”

Ms. Gelda realized what was happening and stepped forward to offer an explanation.

“She said that she started doing it because of a promise with Mr. Takumi…”

“Me?”

“Yes. Apparently, you and Ms. Helena had a discussion about food…”

“Ah…yes. That is true, we did talk.”

I think…it was right before we went to the forest?

Ms. Helena had been rather sad that I had recognized a dish that she thought she had invented.

I suppose this was the result…
