Chapter 10

Year 2153, April 7 (No PoV)

The sun shone brightly over U.A. illuminating the grounds where many future heroes made their way to class. Zooming in on a few students, you could see a green-haired boy running towards the school, a wide smile on his face.

Not far from him, a blond, spiky-haired boy was already picking a fight with another group of students, his explosive temper on full display.

Nearby, a pink-skinned girl and a red-haired boy stood admiring the collection of expensive cars parked out front, chatting excitedly about the different models.

As time passed, the students began gathering in their respective classrooms. The green-haired boy was still rushing through the halls, anxiously searching for his own. After a few moments of running around, he finally found it—Class 1-A. But just as he entered, he was immediately swept into a conversation, unable to catch his breath.

- Midoriya PoV

"She looks good in that uniform."

I could barely contain my blush as the girl kept talking about how I had saved her:"Focus, Izuku! A girl is finally talking to you!"

Just as I gathered the courage to say something back, a rough, raspy voice interrupted me from behind: "Can I go through?"

Turning around, I was met with the sight of a broad chest. I had to step back to fully see him—an imposing figure holding a motorcycle helmet. His presence was hard to ignore, and his appearance was unlike anything I had seen before.

"His hair… it's made of fire? He probably has a flame quirk. But what's up with his wings? Is he built for flight? And that tail... Why are his hands so dark? Maybe some kind of protective material? And those scars… how did he get those?"

I must have been staring too long, lost in thought, because he gently patted me on the shoulder, his hand surprisingly heavy.:"Are you okay? Can I go through, please?" he asked, his voice calm yet firm.

Flustered, I quickly apologized and stepped aside, watching him walk past me. As he moved away, I noticed something even more fascinating—he had four wings instead of two. His presence was definitely attracting attention, with some students whispering and even recognizing him. But before I could dwell on it, another voice behind me, deep and commanding, snapped me out of my thoughts.

"If you're here to make friends or gawk at others, you can pack up and leave."

I froze:"Who is this guy?" He had an gloomy aura, and if he was here, he had to be a pro. After scolding us, he held out a uniform, saying:"Put this on and follow me."

The class shuffled along to the locker rooms, where the atmosphere was quiet and awkward. No one knew each other yet, so conversations were sparse.

While changing, I couldn't help but glance over at the big guy from earlier. He seemed to be struggling a bit with the top of his uniform. After a few attempts, he cursed under his breath and gave up, tossing the uniform top aside and stepping out in just the black compression shirt he wore underneath. It showed off a body that was both well-trained and defined. As he tried to leave, another student, Iida—the upright, strict-looking guy—blocked his path.

"The teacher said we should put on the uniforms. Refusing that order is unacceptable," Iida said firmly.

The winged guy turned around and towered over Iida slightly, tension building as everyone watched, expecting a confrontation. But instead, the winged man spoke calmly, though there was an edge of frustration in his voice.:"Look, I get it. I tried putting it on, but with these wings, getting dressed is hard—especially with new clothes. If the teacher has a problem, he can take it up with me. Alright?"

Iida paused, processing his words before giving a nod, acknowledging the truth in what he'd said. The situation diffused as the winged man walked out.

"That was impressive." I thought:"Staying calm even when he was clearly annoyed."

Soon, we all gathered outside for the next part of the day. Aizawa-sensei, our teacher, took a quick look at the winged student, who simply pointed at his wings in explanation. Aizawa nodded, apparently unbothered, and continued without making an issue of it.

As the sun shone brightly over U.A. School, students prepared for their day, unaware of the intense physical test that awaited them. Aizawa gathered the class and explained that they would be participating in a series of evaluations to determine their capabilities, rank them, and—most controversially—expel the lowest-ranking student.

After some initial protests, the class quieted down, and the tests began.

The first test was the 50-meter sprint. Malthael, standing tall with his fiery hair and wings folded tightly against his back, readied himself alongside the other students. When the signal was given, he opened his wings and used them, along with the strength in his tail, to propel himself forward with a powerful boost. He didn't fly but used his natural enhancements to achieve a time of 4.3 seconds, just behind Bakugo, whose explosive quirk had given him the edge.

Next, they moved on to the grip strength test. Malthael, with his superior physique, easily outperformed most of his classmates, registering a staggering 320 kg on the machine. Only Shoji managed to surpass him in raw strength, but Malthael was far ahead of everyone else. As they progressed to the standing long jump, Malthael spread his wings once more, taking full advantage of his ability to fly. He crossed the distance with ease, soaring effortlessly beyond the markers.

However, when it came to the side step test, Malthael faced his biggest challenge. His agility, while impressive, couldn’t match the more nimble students in the class. Though his dodging had improved since his battle with Crowbane, this test was still one of his weaker points. Nonetheless, his overall physical abilities kept him well above average compared to his peers.

The ball throw test was next, and the anticipation grew as Midoriya, who had struggled in previous events, surprised everyone with a powerful throw. Malthael watched with a grin, knowing his own turn was coming. When it was his time to step up, he asked Aizawa:"Do I have to use my hands to throw the ball?" Aizawa, ever calm, replied:"No, you can use whatever abilities you have to throw it further. In real situations, you have to adapt."

With that, Malthael placed the ball in his mouth, securing it between his teeth. His chest and throat began to glow, even through his shirt, as he summoned the power of his flames. With a deep breath, he unleashed a massive burst of fire and ash, propelling the ball to an incredible distance of 720.7 meters. The class watched in awe as the ball flew through the sky, surpassing even Bakugo’s explosive effort. Aizawa, as usual, remained unfazed, but the students, including Bakugo, were visibly shocked. Malthael, however, remained calm, knowing that his fire breath was his strongest weapon.

The final tests were more straightforward, consisting of basic physical exercises. Sit-ups, seated toe-touches, and the long-distance run were easy for Malthael, whose body had been trained for years to handle such challenges. His well-rounded strength allowed him to breeze through these tests, proving his overall physical superiority. While he wasn’t the absolute best in any single test, his consistent high performance across the board earned him the top spot in the final rankings. His classmates reacted with a mix of respect, envy, and—at least in Bakugo’s case—anger.

With the tests over, Aizawa dismissed the class, instructing everyone to grab their syllabuses and read them before the next day.

In the classroom, as conversations sparked among the students, Malthael didn’t linger. He collected his jacket, helmet, and syllabus, then leaned over to Momo, giving her a kiss:"Love you, baby. Happy to see we both made it into the same class."

The kiss caught the attention of several classmates, and Jiro was the first to ask:"You two seem to be together. Can I ask who he is? He looks familiar."

Before Momo could respond, Iida stepped in with his usual precision:"He’s Malthael Krone, grandson of the CEO of StahlBlut AG. He’s responsible for building many of the gyms, hospitals, motor workshops, banks, casinos, and clubs across Japan. He’s purchased numerous companies, sponsored upcoming heroes, and even supports U.A. itself."

Momo chuckled at the thoroughness of Iida’s answer:"Yes, in short, he has a lot of money. And we’re not just together—we’re married." She lifted her hand, showing the ring on her finger:"Our parents arranged the engagement when we were young."

The entire class went silent, listening intently. Meanwhile, Malthael had already left, oblivious to being the main topic of conversation. He had more pressing matters on his mind.

After leaving the school, Malthael rode his motorcycle to the apartment of one of his classmates. Smirking, he tossed a letter into the mailbox:"Playing with her will be great", he thought as he drove off.

His thoughts wandered to the next day’s activities: "Tomorrow is the combat test. I wonder who my teammate will be. Either way, it’ll be fun."

Arriving home, he went through his usual routine: a shower, a meal, some downtime, and then sleep. Tomorrow promised to be an exciting day.
