"Well, I want to ask but how in the world did you join the squad of that brainless fool." Mereleona was not bothered by his intimate actions as she just leaned back, relaxing.

At that question, everyone subtly cast glances at Alex, waiting for his answer.

"How I join Black Bulls? Well, it happened almost a year ago before I met you..." Alex looked at Mereleona and shared the story.

"...and that's how I joined the Black Bulls in the end."

"You're such a fool. You should have joined the Crimson Lions. If that bastard had dared to trouble you, I would have incarnated him." Mereleona muttered.

Alex smiled and shrugged his shoulders. "Then it's your mistake. Because if you would have been the captain and invited me, then I would have joined the Crimson Lions."

"Hmph, how would I know that you will be going to join the Magic Knights? If I would have known, I had greeted you at the entrance of the capital." Merrleona humped coldly and sneered.

"Hmm... forget it. Nothing we can change." Alex smiled at her.

Mereleona listened to him and nodded her head. "Yeah. You're right. But you must join the Royal Knights. If we two work together, those members of the Eye of the Midnight Sun will have no way to escape."

Alex stared at her and asked. "How much do you trust me, lioness?"

"Where did that come from?" Mereleona paused and asked as she furrowed her brows.

Alex grabbed the cup from her hands and took a sip, speaking. "Just tell me... I trust you as much as I trust my brother, Yuno, and Captain Yami. I can trust my back to you in any situation."

Mereleona narrowed her eyes and said upfront. "You're my mate. The only man aside from my family I had acknowledged. It doesn't matter what the situation, I'll always fight alongside you."

A smile appeared at the corner of his face, pleased by her answer. He glanced at Charlotte and others, asking. "What about you guys?"

"We also believe in you." The three of them spoke simultaneously.

"Then what if I tell you that I have no intention of stopping the Eye of the Midnight Sun from achieving its goal?" Alex chuckled and asked.

Instantly, Mereleona's smile crooked and a terrifying killing intent burst forth as she asked coldly.

"Explain that carefully!"

Not only her but even others were also taken aback by his sudden reveal, caught by surprise.

Alex glanced at her and continued. "I had told this to Captain Yami and now I'm sharing it with you, only because I trust you all... Do you guys hear about the story of a race that existed a century ago that worshipped demons? That race tried to steal the mana of the humans and it was the humans who killed them to prevent their plans. The Story of the Legend of the First Wizard King!"

Noelle and the others looked at each other as they were very familiar with this story since they had heard it in their childhood. It was a famous story for the old generation to tell to the children.

Mereleona's expression was a little ugly as she had caught something, a premonition.

Alex emptied the glass of sake in his throat and continued. "Then what about I tell you that the story is actually completely opposite?... How will you guys feel if you learn that the race depicted as an evil race by your ancestors was actually a peace-loving and kind race that used their powers to prevent disasters and save lives?!"

Noellea and Charlotte had weird expressions on their faces, finding his words unblieveable and yet they knew deep in their hearts that their man would never say something like that for no good reason.

"So, you want to say that it was our ancestors who purposely changed the story to depict them as bad guys? Then I want to ask you, why would they do that?" Mereleona asked calmly.

Alex raised his head and looked at the three beauties of the noble household, smiling bitterly.

"Because it was your ancestors who used a magical tool to snatch the mana of that race, slaughtering them all in the process... The race I am talking about is the Elf tribe and they are born with naturally high mana compared to all the races. Don't you guys feel familiar with it somehow?"

When Alex said that, their mind shook as a bright light illuminated the darkness in their minds, clearing some doubts.

Yeah, no wonder we, nobles were born with high magic powers compared to the commoners so it had nothing to do with our ancestors being strong but because they had snatched these powers from someone else.

The girls couldn't believe that as they had a blank expression on their faces, a feeling of disgust welled up in their hearts.

Alex looked at them and smiled. "You guys don't need to blame yourself or anyone. Yes, your ancestors are in the wrong but it has nothing to do with you all, right... And also whatever happened 100 years ago was actually a big game, manipulated by someone. Both the Elf tribe and the human tribe were used by him in order to achieve his goal!"

"Who was it?" Mereleona's face had darkened, looking very scary as she muttered coldly.

Alex took a deep breath and said. "He belongs to a race that I'm going to wipe out completely."

His words were filled with intense killing intent, his anger was visible on his face as he gritted his teeth.

"Who is it?" Mereleona asked as she held his hand to reassure him that she was with him.

"Devil!" Alex said lightly.

"Devil?"

The girls were dumbfounded by words since the Devils were not real things, they were entities used in stories to make it interesting.

Alex read them like a book and said. "They are real. Julius and some of the captains know about their existence but since they are very dangerous, their existence is kept a secret."

When he said that, he glanced at Mereleona who became slightly uncomfortable.

Alex chuckled and waved his hand. "Enough about the serious stuff. You'll learn everything when the time comes anyway. For now, let's deal with the Elves. Even though I've no intention of stopping their plan but I am also not going to let them do whatever they want... So, if they leave peacefully, then everything will be fine, or else, I have to kill them all again."

Mereleona grinned as she was waiting for him to say that, looking forward to their clash with the Elves.

On the other hand, Noelle and others were dumbfounded by the sudden change in Alex's words.
