Finally, the stage was ready.

Julius even brought the team members of Alex and Langris to the spot.

Fragil looked around with a puzzled expression, asking. "What's going on...? Didn't we win?"

Julius then explained the rules of the match as the magic crystals of each team had been already transported to their respective position.

Alex stared at Langris and addressed Mimosa and Zora.

"Hey, guys. Sorry for getting you involved in this... but let's teach this idiot a lesson."

"...Okay. I am with you." Mimosa spoke resolutely. 'There is something strange about Langris...'

On the other hand, Zora laughed manically. "Kihihihi... Fellow magic knights fighting among themselves by getting caught in personal feelings... Are you guys stupid or what?!"

He looked excited as he continued. "But I love it! He's way more unhinged... Let's do this!"

Fragil approached Langris and asked. "Hey, Langris...! What's going on here...?!"

"Shut your face!" Langris cut her off coldly as he glared at Alex, his eyes were filled with killing intent as his body emitted the eerie mana.

"Begin!" Julius shouted.

Just as he finished, Langris raised his hand and released a spatial cut to destroy Alex's magic crystal to humiliate him.

But Alex just waved his sheathe around, deflecting it.

"Is that all...?" Alex raised his eyebrow and mocked him. He then glanced at Mimosa and Zora, saying. "Guys, protect the magic crystal. Just give me five minutes, okay?"

"Okay. Leave it to us." Mimosa replied. 'I will do whatever you want, Asta.'

Alex smiled and stepped forward as he also raised his hand and slashed forward.

Langris was startled by his action and a sense of panic appeared in his heart as he quickly dodged.

He made a correct decision since just as he moved, the rock behind him was cut into half by an invisible power.

"S-Sp... Spatial Magic?... It's impossible! How can you use Spatial Magic?"

Langris mumbled in disbelief. Not only him but most of the magic knights were caught by surprise as they stared at Alex with a shocked expression.

Julius smiled and thought. 'So, you have finally decided to reveal yourself to everyone, huh? It seems the future is going to be much fun.'

"Ehh? He can use magic?... Then why hadn't he used it yet?!" The King sitting beside Julius asked with a surprised tone.

Mereoleona grinned and replied. "It's because he never needed to use it since his opponents are so weak. Don't get fooled by his smiley appearance, he is the king of this jungle."

"Hey, I'm the King!" The King shouted.

Julius smiled and waved his hand. "Your Majesty, you're the King. She was just implying that he is way stronger than all the magic knights and might even be strong as a Magic Squad captain."

"Oh, so that's how it is. Then why does she need to speak like that? It confuses people."

"Haha..." Juilius gave a hollow laugh, scratching the side of his face.

Alex grinned and tilted his head. "And why can't I use magic? I just thought that an idiot like you doesn't deserve me to use magic. But since you bark so much then I'll use Spatial Magic to destroy you today."

"Hmph! You think you can beat me? You're just a scum!" Langris raised his hand and summoned dozens of Spatial orbs, shooting at Alex and the magic crystal.

Alex smiled and raised his hand as an invisible aura radiated from his body, forming a barrier

Just as the mana orbs entered his zone, he snapped his finger and the spatial orbs disappeared, vanishing from the sight.

*Bang*

A piercing voice echoed and everyone saw a hole appearing in Team G's magic crystal.

"What happened?"

"Yeah. How did the magic crystal get damaged?"

"Something is weird..."

"Hoh. What an interesting magic!" Julius jumped on his seat like a young child, finding something interesting.

'He formed a barrier around him with Spatial Magic which would teleport anything that's within its range to another spot. This kid is full of surprises...'

Alex looked at Langris's startled appearance and smiled. "Oh, don't worry. Until I beat you enough, I'll not destroy your magic crystal so easily."

Langris turned his head and stared at Alex's relaxed appearance which pissed him off for some reason.

'How can this be...? How can he be so strong?... How can he use Spatial Magic so efficiently?!... How can this trash... A mere commoner be better than me a royalty!...'

Langris's mana spiked up as he charged at Alex, wanting to slice him in half along with his magic crystal.

Alex watched him coming at him and wrapped his fingers around the hilt of his sword.

'Here he comes... 3, 2, 1. Now taste this! Anti Magic: Zetten!'

Alex slashed forward with precision and timing as blood splurted out from Langris's hand and chest before he fell down on the ground on his face.

"What was that...?"

On the platform, the magic knights looked at the screen with a look of bewilderment.

They were confused at what had just happened, mumbling with each other.

Julius jumped to his feet with a shocked expression, his eyes trembling as he gazed at Alex projected on the magic screen.

"That slash... just now it was... How can it be?"

He could only stutter because Alex's slash had surprised the Wizard King, his heart throbbing inside his chest.

Julius had never seen anything like that in his entire life. Maybe among the present people, he and Mereoleona might be the only ones who knew how terrifying that slash was...

"Y-You!... How dare a commoner like you...?" Langris slowly tried to pull himself up but found it difficult to stand up on his feet. He raised his hand to strike at Alex.

"I'll kill you!"

But the next moment, his eyes trembled in horror and confusion.

Because Langris found that he couldn't feel his magic anymore. He couldn't even summon his mana to use a mana bullet.

Alex took advantage of his surprise and grabbed his head, slamming his knee into his nose.

*Boom*

Blood splurted out from Langrus's nose and mouth as he was knocked out unconscious.

He then ignored him and raised his head, gazing into the distance to look at Team G's magic crystal. Raising his hand at him, he clenched it into a fist.

The space around the magic crystal collapsed and it shattered into small pieces.

"The magic crystal has been destroyed. It's Team B's victory!"

The announcer announced, which also ended the first semi-final of the Royal Knight exams.

Alex single-handedly defeated Team G and secured the spot in the finals.
