As Yanna and Vanessa prepared for their twin daughters' birthday, the house was filled with an air of joy and nostalgia. It was a special occasion, made even more meaningful by the fact that it was the third birthday celebration after Yanna and Vanessa's second marriage.

 

The morning sun streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow on the decorations being set up in the living room. Yanna and Vanessa worked side by side, hanging colorful balloons and streamers while reminiscing about their journey together.

 

"Do you remember when they were born?" Vanessa asked.

 

Yanna chuckled softly, "How could I forget? It feels like it’s just yesterday when we were holding them in our arms for the first time."

 

As they continued to decorate, memories of sleepless nights, first words, and tiny footsteps echoed in their minds. Each decoration held a story, each corner of the house filled with moments of laughter and love shared with their growing family.

 

The aroma of freshly baked cupcakes wafted from the kitchen, where the twins' favorite treats were being prepared. Yanna and Vanessa's daughters, Zara and Anya, peeked in with curious eyes, their blue ocean eyes, inherited from Vanessa, showing an eagerness to see the birthday surprises being planned for them.

 

"Mommy, can we help?" Zara asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

 

Vanessa knelt down to their eye level, ruffling their soft and dark hair gently. "Of course, my darlings. You can help us set the table for the party."

 

The twins beamed with joy, rushing to grab plates and napkins, their laughter filling the room. Yanna and Vanessa watched them with full of tenderness and love.

 

Yanna held Vanessa’s hand and gave her a kiss on her forehead while no one was looking. Vanessa blushed and quickly looked around.

 

As the party preparations continued, Yanna and Vanessa stole moments together, stealing kisses and sharing whispered sweet words. The bond they had built over the years had only grown stronger, even if Vanessa would get busy with her the company, Yanna wouldn’t fail to take care of her and show her love. Yanna would even help her every time Vanessa had little time with their twins, even though she herself had to take care of her cafes that were now becoming more popular and new cafes were being established.

 

Vanessa sometimes couldn’t help but just smile. Her wife, who had said she wanted to be a salted fish and not work hard after getting out of entertainment, just wouldn’t stay still at home.

 

When the guests began to arrive, the house buzzed with laughter and chatter. Their friends gathered to celebrate the twins' special day, showering them with love and gifts.

 

 Vanessa's parents surprised everyone by showing up at the birthday party. Vanessa's mother had heard about her daughter's struggles during pregnancy and, remembering her own difficult first pregnancy which awakened her motherly love for her only remaining daughter. At first, she had felt distant from Vanessa, but when she learned about the twins' upcoming arrival, her heart softened. She realized she had made mistakes in the past and started thinking about how they had treated Vanessa.

 

As the twins' arrival was on the way, Vanessa's parents felt the need to make things right. They visited Yanna and Vanessa's home and said sorry for their past actions. Although Vanessa didn't forgive them right away, she decided to give them a chance. The twins' birth appeared to be a turning point, helping to mend the relationship between Vanessa and her parents. It can be said that it is the twins that played a significant role in bringing the family closer together.

Vanessa’s mother would gave advice and would talk to Yanna to instruct her what she should do. Yanna would listen carefully and ask for some advice. No matter how bad they were before, if they asked for forgiveness, then it wasn’t bad to give them a chance for Vanessa and for their daughters.

 

As the day drew to a close and the twins blew out their birthday candles, Yanna and Vanessa shared a quiet moment on the porch, watching the stars twinkle in the night sky.

 

"Happy birthday, my treasures," Yanna said to their twins, her hand intertwined with Vanessa's.

 

"Happy birthday, Anya and Zara," Vanessa added, her heart full of gratitude for the family they had created and feeling emotional.

 

In that moment, surrounded by love and laughter, Yanna and Vanessa knew that their journey was far from over

 with the addition of their daughters.
