My Vampire

We were on our way to France again. On the plane, Kazuya showed us a pre-broadcast of a new anime. Yuki and I were glued to the screen with excitement. Then we took a short rest. Yuki was sleeping contentedly after that.

“Kazuya. You should be at the meeting too, I’m worried about Yuki.”

“I will.”

He nodded then adds,

“There is still time before we get to France. Please rest, Marcus-sama. You came here straight from work.”

“I understand. I’ll do that.”

And I fell asleep next to Yuki.

Morning

We arrived in France. Yuki was still sleepy. She must be worried about what will happen to her. My brothers’ dependents were there to pick us up at the airport.

“This way, please.”

*This is also...a huge limousine. It's my father's taste. He likes flashy things. His clothes are also flashy. I remember he only wore Liza's clothes. He’s been sending our father clothes that he'd like*.

I could see that Yuki was getting nervous. Of course she was. She was about to learn something about herself that even she didn’t know.

*Looks like I have to be prepared too*…

The car arrived at the mansion where my father was. Someone's dependant was there to pick us up.

“Welcome! We've been expecting you! Everyone”

*Whose dependent is this?　Probably my father’s*…

Then my other brothers also arrived.

“Now we’re all here.”

Dad looked at us. Then to Yuki.

“Yuki. Come here.”

Yuki glanced at me and went over to my father. Yuki put her hand on her chest and bowed to him.

“Liza. Come here, you, too.”

Liza happily went to father.

“Yuki. Suck Liza’s blood.”

*Dad…. What are you doing*….

Yuki sucked blood from Liza’s arm.

"! What! This feeling!"

Liza exclaimed. And he looked entranced. Yuki looked at Liza curiously.

"...Hmm. I see...Then, Mikey, why don’t you let Yuki suck your blood too?”

At my father's request, Yuki sucked Mikey's blood.

“Ahh! What the hell is this!”

Mikey exclaimed. His expression was the same as Liza’s. What’s happening!　

“I knew it… I knew it. Marc. The people Yuki sucked blood from did not become addicted, did they?”

"...That's right, Father. Do you know why?"

"I've done a lot of research, but I don't really understand it. But, how did we vampires come to exist in this world? Or any other species for that matter... In the beginning, vampires and humans lived simultaneously. Then, they crossed paths. I've never heard of a half-vampire, half-human, and I've never even met one..."

My father rested his elbows on his knees and placed his face on it.

“But suppose the half existed and had been raised hidden....I wonder how it would be?”"
