Naruto: The Wind Calamity

"What in the hell?"

The attacks landed on Fujin's dome-shaped cloak. As everyone expected, C's attack was easily blocked since light couldn't travel through an opaque object. However, what shocked everyone was that the dome tanked the other two jutsus as well without budging even an inch. There wasn't even a single scratch on the cloak!

Jin couldn't help but wonder, 'How many seals has he inscribed on that cloak? How in the world could it block two False Darkness jutsu with such ease?'

Taking advantage of his temporary safety and the fact that he couldn't be seen or sensed by anyone, the Blade of the Thunder Spirit appeared in Fujin's right hand. A wide grin appeared on Fujin's face as he decided, 'Enough defense, now let me see how you guys react when I go on the offensive!'

'Lightning Release: Lightning Roots jutsu'

Fujin unleashed a massive amount of Lightning using the blade as a medium to amplify his jutsu. The Lightning pierced the ground, forming a root-like network as it traveled in every direction.

While the Kumo ninjas couldn't sense anything inside the dome due to the large concentration of seals on Fujin's cloak, everyone felt a large amount of Lightning moving underground.

Darui immediately jumped while shouting, "Everyone, be careful!"

Others jumped in the same manner as everyone felt Lightning moving towards them. As their feet left the ground, Lightning drilled out of the ground under everyone's feet and moved towards them. Instinctively, everyone used jutsus to defend themselves. Only four Chunins failed to do so and were zapped.

Luckily, the Lightning wasn't strong enough to critically injure them. Even so, everyone's expression was ugly as they looked at C. Darui thought, 'Not good! His real target is C! The attacks on the rest of us were just a distraction!'

'Wind Release: Great Breakthrough'

Sensing the strong Lightning jutsu approaching him, C immediately realized that he wouldn't be able to counter it with a Lightning jutsu. Hence, he supercharged the Great Breakthrough jutsu as much as he could until the Lightning was very close to him before exhaling strong winds.

The winds ripped through the Lightning, dispersing most of it. A few charges still hit C, but they weren't strong enough to injure him. Only the hair on his body stood due to the electric charge.

Unfortunately, he still wasn't out of danger. Even before he used the Wind jutsu, the barrier around Fujin disappeared and the cloak went back around his body. Taking advantage of the fact that everyone was still in the air, he rapidly moved towards C.

'Shit!' Darui cursed. He was about to use a jutsu to intercept Fujin but he suddenly stopped and used his sword to block the incoming lightning-charged senbon! Samui met the same fate as well.

In the blink of an eye, Fujin reached C and his sword was right in front of him. C had a grim expression. He grabbed a kunai but had no confidence in being able to defend himself. Luckily for him, Fujin suddenly changed the direction of his sword to hit another sword.

It was Yugito who appeared to help him. She was the only one who wasn't very afraid of the underground attack and her position was very close to C as well as they both were in the rear. Of course, Fujin had anticipated her making a move.

Instead of blocking her sword, Fujin parried it. Yugito's eyes widened as she couldn't control her momentum and continued moving towards Fujin. She immediately unleashed Matatabi's chakra again and covered herself in blue chakra. At the same time, she tried to kick Fujin.

Fujin kicked her knee to block her kick and slashed his sword towards her neck. Yugito concentrated as much chakra as she could in her right hand and grabbed the lightning-enhanced sword with her bare hand! A deep cut appeared on her hand but Matatabi's intense chakra neutralized most of the lightning flowing through his sword, ensuring that her hand wouldn't be cut off.

Fujin wasn't very surprised and continued his attack as his knee hit her abdomen. He followed it up with another kick sending her crashing into the ground. Taking advantage of their clash, C threw his kunai at Fujin, but Fujin easily diverted it with the back of his glove.

The two of them finally landed on the ground. C immediately took a step backwards. Fujin was about to continue his assault when he suddenly flickered to his left. Three black lightning panthers appeared in his previous position. They quickly changed their direction and chased after Fujin, forcing him to dodge again.

Fujin frowned and analyzed, 'I can't freely attack when others can attack me from every direction… Sigh, I've gotten too used to fighting opponents who can't even see me coming…'

As he moved, Fujin once again used the weaker Kumo ninjas as human shields to mess with Darui and slow down his attack. Darui manipulated his Lightning to not hit them while continuously chasing after Fujin. However, it became very difficult as Fujin continued exploiting this weakness.

By now, others had recovered from Fujin's initial attack. Samui and the two Elite Jounins joined in the battle and tried to enter into close combat while Darui continued attacking with Storm Release. At the same time, Yugito got back on her feet and unleashed the full strength of Matatabi, recreating her form.

Fujin sensed it and wondered, 'Interesting, but how is she supposed to fight in this state without injuring her allies?'

As he continuously moved, Fujin finally got between three Kumo Chunins. The expressions of Darui, Samui and the Elite Jounins became ugly. Fujin had moved to such a spot that all of them were restricted. It was a perfect defensive position.

The three Chunins realized what was happening and turned around. Unfortunately, before they could react, Fujin's sword pierced through the back of one of the Chunins such that his sword was directly pointing towards Samui and the three black panthers chasing him.

The Chunin looked at his chest in horror as he felt a massive amount of Lightning flowing through his body! Fujin used the False Darkness jutsu through his body to target Samui and black panthers.

Samui immediately cursed as she didn't have enough time to use a defensive jutsu or even dodge the unexpected attack. She immediately flowed lightning chakra into her sword and used it to block the incoming attack. She gritted her teeth as some lightning made it through her defenses and electrocuted her.

At the same time, the black panthers were also neutralized. Just then, Fujin sensed the two Elite Jounins building up their chakra. Both supercharged the False Darkness jutsu and fired it at Fujin, confusing him.

The Chunins were still in the way. Fujin wondered, 'What exactly are they planni… FUCK!'

Fujin's eyes widened as the two Elite Jounins launched their attacks completely ignoring the two Chunins in the way! The massive amount of lightning electrocuted both of them to death in an instant! Fujin, who was merely a couple of meters away from both of them, was caught completely off guard!

Fujin immediately stepped backwards and flickered. However, with the attacks so close and incoming at the speed of Lightning, even his quick flicker was slow. Both attacks landed on his cloak.

The defensive seals on his cloak managed to block the jutsus, ensuring that no harm came to Fujin. However, their force still sent him flying backwards. He landed just a couple of meters away from a Kumo Jounin.

The Kumo Jounin was shocked by what he had witnessed. He never expected that two of his teammates would be killed by his superiors. However, understanding how critical the situation was, he didn't ask any questions and attacked Fujin.

Fujin immediately waved his sword to his left to block him but his eyes widened once again. Yugito, in Matatabi's form, appeared behind the Jounin and swung her massive paw at both of them. At the same time, Darui, Samui, C, Jin and the two Elite Jounins also attacked to cut all paths of escape.

Matatabi's paw hit the Jounin as well as Fujin, who was very close to him, and sent both flying! As the one who had to take the major hit, the Jounin died on the spot. His dead body was flung away for around a hundred meters.

Fujin was sent flying straight through Matatabi's fire-like chakra surrounding the entire group. He finally flipped in the air and landed on his ground, but he still skidded along for a long distance.

Yugito's attack sent him half a kilometer away from them! Behind his mask, blood trickled down his lips. Despite being injured, a smile was plastered on his face. He broke out into laughter and muttered, "What crazy bastards!"
