Overlord: Multiverse

Chapter 63: New World XXV

"Which armor do you require, lord?" Thea asked Helios while walking through the armory where the armors for the NPCs were stored.

She was reading her book when Helios contacted her to guide him through the armory because he needed two armors for his plans. And as the caretaker of the armory, it was her duty to help her lord.

"I want one at the peak of Divine-Class and another at the peak of Legendary-Class." Helios spoke while walking behind her in his Human Variant.

"Understood." The armory was filled with armors of different shapes and sizes, ranging from High-Class all the way up to World Items. However, there were only 2 armors that were World Items, and he didn't want to use them this time.

After walking for a few minutes, they stopped before a golem wearing armor.

"This should fix your description, lord. It is a peak Divine-Class armor; it also has all the abilities you describe."

I also told her about the different abilities I wanted in the armor. I nodded my head.

"Umu. This will do."

Saying this, I began shifting into one of the most peculiar variants I had. A few seconds later, instead of a human, there was a small blue blob on the ground the size of a football.

This was one of my slime variants that I made for a few very specific scenarios. It's status looked like this;

...

...

This variant was entirely focused on fighting while equipped with armor and enhancing its capabilities. For example, if I equipped an armor with this variant and it could cast 8th-tier magic, I could enhance it to cast even Super Tier magic. This was just an example; I could enhance its stats, store skills, etc.

After transforming to this variant, I jumped and entered the armor. A few seconds later, the helmet closed, and I fully equipped it.

"Let's move on; we still have to find the other armor," I spoke in a different tone, courtesy of the armor. It could change my voice.

"Understood, lord."

She spoke and began moving deeper into the armory. After a few minutes of searching, we came across the other armor I wanted. After checking it, I nodded and looked toward Thea.

"Yeah, this will do. Transfer it to Enri," I spoke while stroking her head, which caused her to blush.

"It shall be done," She spoke in a sweet tone.

~Scene Change~

"Are you sure, darling? It might be dangerous out there; please allow me to accompany you."

Albedo spoke while standing beside me near the entrance of the Tomb. It was afternoon at the moment, and I was ready to implement the next stage of my plans.

I turned toward her and pulled her into a hug.

"I'll be fine. There shouldn't be anyone out there that could harm me. I also have a World Item," I spoke while pointing at the sword I had on my back.

"Also, if I encounter someone, I plan to withdraw. I also have Enri with me. So, I'll be fine, and furthermore, if I take you with me, who is going to manage Nazarick in my absence."

I spoke while tightening my hug.

"I know all that, but still,"

It took a few minutes to convince her before she agreed.

"Get ready, Enri, *Greater Mass Teleportation*"

I activated a spell stored in the armor, and Enri and I teleported a great distance away from Nazarick.

We appeared near a rundown path surrounded by forest. Because I had already set the destination where we should appear, I knew the direction toward E-Rantel.

"Let's get going, and remember to call me Sir Ramses when we are outside. Got it?" I asked while looking at Enri, who was using the Peak Legendary-Class armor.

"Got it, Sir Ramses," She spoke without bowing.

"Good," I spoke while turning my head forward.

~Scene Change~

It took us over 15 minutes to arrive in E-Rantel, a journey that, under normal circumstances, would have required several hours. However, thanks to our exceptional stats, we managed to complete the trip in under half an hour.

Our initial objective was to register ourselves as adventurers as soon as possible.

"Hey, can you tell us where the adventurer's guild is?"

I asked one of the guards stationed at the gate.

"Travel straight, then turn right at the first junction; the guild would be the right side of the road." He spoke in a disinterested tone.

"Thank you," I acknowledged with a slight bow before continuing on our way.

In a matter of minutes, we arrived at the guild's entrance. I pushed open the wooden doors and stepped inside. The interior buzzed with activity, filled with a gathering of adventurers.

Since it was afternoon, the guild was abuzz with adventurers submitting their completed requests and collecting their hard-earned rewards.

Our entrance went without a notice, not that it mattered much. I walked toward the receptionist.

"Hello, my partner and I would like to register as adventurers," I stated, gesturing toward Enri and myself.

"Of course, wait for a little while,"

She spoke in an annoyed tone, and after a minute or two, she began speaking again.

"First, you need to pay 5 Silver coins as an Entry fee, and then you need to pass the Literacy Test, which will cost 2 Copper coins."

"Sure, here you go, 10 Silver and 4 Copper coins for the both of us," I spoke while taking out coins from the pouch on my waist.

The money was provided by the Army of Death after they decimated another one of the Corpus of the Abyss' bases.

She took the coins and gave us 2 papers, with different fields on them.

"Fill out the information, and a new paper would cost you 2 Copper coins,"

"Sure,"

I took one paper and gave it to Enri before walking toward one of the tables. After sitting down, I began filling in the required information.

I choose Ramses as my name; as for my profession, I choose to be a Magic Knight.

It only took a minute before the registration was complete after we had given her the filled form. After that, the receptionist gave us our Copper plates.

"Your current rank is Copper, meaning you can only take Copper-ranked requests unless your party has someone of a higher rank. You are also not allowed to provide healing to people, ..."

She went on to explain some rules of the guild, and breaking them could cost us our rank.

"Thank you for your help," I spoke while walking away from her. Now, it was time to start our journey as adventurers.

I moved toward the request board and began reading the requests. The requests that we could take at the moment were all trash, including helping someone move their luggage, cleaning the church, etc.

'No way in hell am I taking these requests,' I thought while going through the requests.

At another part of the guild, a group of 4 adventurers conversed with each other.

"He has some sick armor," A young man with blonde hair and blue eyes spoke while inspecting Helios' armor. His name was Peter Mauk, the leader of the Silver-ranked adventurer and the leader of the Swords of Darkness.

"Yeah, and the girl beside him is not bad either," A young man with blonde hair and brown eyes spoke. His name was Lukrut Volve, the ranger of the Swords of Darkness.

"Get your mind out of the gutter and stop looking at her like that," Spoke a young girl with brown hair, blue eyes, and a face that looked childish. Her name was Ninya. Her teammates were unaware of her gender.

"I agree; that man gives me a dangerous feeling. If he is able to walk freely in that heavy armor, he is at least stronger than us." Dyne Woodwonder, a man with a huge groomed beard covering his mouth and coupled with a bulky body, spoke. He was a Druid.

"If you say he is strong, then I have no doubt that he is," Peter spoke. The team knew that Dayne had an astute eye for assessing individuals.

"How strong he is according to you?" Ninya asked while turning her gaze toward Dayne.

"I can't say for sure, but he is at least comparable to Platinum-ranked adventurers," He spoke while stroking his beard.

"Say, wouldn't it be good if we made some connection with him?" Lukrut spoke while still eyeing Enri.

"I'm with Lukrut on this one; we could bring them along on our quest tomorrow," added Ninya, considering the potential benefits of joining forces with the newcomers.

After discussing for a few minutes, they decided to bring Helios and Enri with them on their quest tomorrow.

"You should go and talk with them; who knows, maybe they would choose another quest." Ninya spoke while turning her head toward Peter.

"Got it. Then," Peter spoke while getting up from his seat.

"Wish me luck,"

Saying this, he began walking toward Helios and Enri.

~Back with Helios~

'They have been gazing at us for a while now,' I took a side glance at the 4 people sitting around a table.

'If I remember correctly, they should be the Swords of Darkness. Hmm?'

One of the people stood up and began walking toward our general direction.

'I think his name is Peter,' I turned my head toward the quest board.

"Starting as an adventurer is difficult, isn't it?" Peter spoke while he moved near me. I turned my head toward him and acted as if I hadn't noticed him approaching me before.

"It sure is." I replied in a dejected tone.

"Especially when you know you're strong but still have to follow the rules."

I crossed my arms for emphasis.

"I may have a way to help with that." He spoke while stopping a little distance away from me.

"Is that so?"

"I sure have; my name is Peter, by the way."

He nodded before introducing himself.

"Ramses, Enri." I spoke while gesturing at myself and Enri, who had her hand on her sword's hilt.

"Pleasure to meet you, now then, are you not curious about the way?"

"I sure am."

"Then follow me please," He spoke while walking back toward his team.

"Let's go," I spoke before following him. Enri also started to walk behind me.
