Peach and Plum Do Not Speak

Chapter 88

Chapter 87:

Yan Xi opened the car door, and Gao Jiming stepped forward to stop her eagerly: “Yan Xi, I wanted to find you later, but I couldn’t help it! I have accepted Shengda’s offer, I will go back this time. That is, the handover will be handled well, up to three months!”

He blocked the door and said, “Yanxi! Give me another chance!”

Yan Xi looked at him with complicated eyes. Many years ago, he wanted to go abroad and she wanted to break up, and he begged her the same way, “Yan Xi, whoever said that foreign love is not good, I don’t agree to break up! You give me another chance!”

At that time, Gao Jie’s youthful face overlapped with his now mature face. Yan Xi closed her eyes, “I really have to go.” She straddled into the car and started the car. Gao Jiming stood there and watched her leave.

Yan Xi pondered deeply, took a breath, and called Liu Yiyi: “Where are you? I’ll go over now.”

“Farewell, there’s an accident on the Xihuan Road. It’s freezing and snowing, and you won’t be able to get through.”

“Is there an accident? No wonder I bumped the car when I went out in the morning…” Before Yan Xi could finish speaking, he heard An Zhi eagerly ask, “Auntie, are you alright then?”

“I’m fine, but the front of the car was bumped.” Yan Xi’s heart softened, “I’m sorry, I went out early today, I thought I should be there on time, but I didn’t get a call from you before?”

“I ran out of electricity as soon as I went out. Maybe you called at that time, and I ran out of electricity before I received it.”

“Ah… I should rush over if I can’t make a call.”

An Zhi said, “I came out early because…the teachers said they would hold a mobilization meeting for the participating students, and I didn’t want to participate.”

Liu Yiyi said at this time, “What’s the big deal? If we don’t go, it’s just an exam. We won’t go! I’ve asked your uncle. You’ve entered the national team training camp, and you’ll have a good chance of walking!”

“Where are you? I think I’ll turn around to meet you.” Yan Xi was still worried.

“Okay, okay, safety is the most important thing, and I will deliver Xiao Anzhi safely to my house.” Liu Yiyi didn’t wait for Yanxi to answer, and then cut off the phone.

Yan Xi went home and waited until after eight o’clock before Liu Yiyi brought An Zhi back. She was waiting for them in the living room on the first floor.

“It’s so late?” she asked softly, looking at An Zhi for the first time.

“I brought An Zhi to reissue a mobile phone card and have dinner,” Liu Yiyi pushed An Zhi’s suitcase aside, “It’s too cold today.”

Yan Xi noticed that An Zhi was wearing a coat she had never seen before. Valentino’s long white coat was too long for her. The collar was made of fur, and her little face was wrapped in it, which was crystal clear.

“What’s the matter with you today? Why did you suddenly go with the surnamed Gao…” Liu Yiyi swallowed the word “date” and quietly gave Yanxi an elbow: “The surnamed Gao harassed you?”

Yan Xi sighed: “I met you on the road, let’s not mention it, I didn’t think about it today.”

“Isn’t he married? Why is he still holding on to you and playing the emotional card?”

Yan Xi shook his head: “Not married.”

“WTF! No knot?” Liu Yiyi exclaimed, glanced at Anzhi, and lowered her voice: “So does he want to rekindle your old love?”

Yan Xi frowned, not knowing how to express it, but out of the corner of his eye saw An Zhizheng looking at her quietly. Sparkling clear, and fragile like glass eyes.

Feeling that Yan Xi’s heart was suddenly grasped by a hand, she pushed Liu Yiyi: “I’ll tell you later.”

Yan Xi took a step closer: “Tao Tao, I’m sorry, I originally agreed to pick you up today.”

An Zhi shook his head silently.

Liu Yiyi looked at them and added fire: “Don’t you want to apologize? An Zhi has no money on his body today, lost his mobile phone again, and has been waiting for you for so long in the wind and snow.”

“Second Aunt,” An Zhi tilted her head slightly, “No, I just walked a few steps…” She moved her cheeks and dimples and laughed, and when she turned her face to Yan Xi, her smile was already real, “Auntie, I It’s not a child, you can go home by yourself, today is an accident.”

“It’s just that the phone is lost. It’s a pity. It’s all my fault.”

“If you lose it, you will lose it, and I will buy it for you.”

“Second aunt gave me her old one.”

“Oh…”

Liu Yiyi endured a toothache by the side, and didn’t want to worry about it anymore. She just went home and hugged her husband as soon as possible. She waved her hand: “Then I’ll go back first, it’s cold.”

“Second aunt, clothes.” An Zhi reached out and tried to take off his coat.

“No, I’ll give it to you. You can wear it when you are a few years older.”

An Zhi thanked her, Liu Yiyi stared at her, pinched her cheek, glanced at Yan Xi, and decided to say more: “Don’t wear so little when you go out tomorrow, how can children go to school if they are frozen? ?”

An Zhi quickly stopped her from continuing to speak, and opened the door for her.

Liu Yiyi left, and the atmosphere suddenly became awkward.

An Zhi smiled at Yan Xi, pulled the suitcase over and wanted to go upstairs. Yan Xi grabbed the lever and wanted to help her.

“No need, Auntie, it’s very light.” An Zhi carried it by himself and went upstairs, standing at a loss.

She pressed her head angrily and followed upstairs, not knowing what to say, “Tao Tao…”

An Zhi smiled vainly, and then said, “Well, auntie, I’m tired, I want to go in and sleep.”

As soon as the door closed, An Zhi squatted down. The light was not turned on in the room, and her long coat was wrapped in a crumble. She was weak and could only rely on her clothes to support her.

Yan Xi may not have noticed it, but An Zhi knew that Gao Jiming was very important in her mind. In the past, she would never forget her own. security.

If they were just ordinary relatives and friends, and today was just a series of accidents, she would be able to complain a few words openly, not so sad, so wronged…

If she didn’t like Yan Xi, she could treat herself as a child and complain to her well. But she likes Yan Xi, she hopes that she will treat her as an adult, and then Yan Xi can find out her grievance.

An Zhi was lying on the floor, and there was a voice in her heart: This should be just the beginning, right? In the future, her status in Yan Xi’s mind will slowly recede.

She thought she could play in the national team, but she didn’t. Since it was impossible for Liao Chengyu and Yan Xi, she thought she could act like a spoiled child for a few more days.

Backfired and powerless.

An Zhi silently chewing these two words brought her pain and jealousy. She had never been so jealous of a person, jealous that he had been in love with Yan Xi, jealous that Yan Xi liked him, jealous of his gender. But reason told her that she had no right to be jealous, nor did she have the right to be wronged.

But she just couldn’t control the sadness, grievance and jealousy.

it’s painful.

Yan Xi walked back and forth in the living room several times, and the hand that wanted to knock on the door stretched out and retracted several times.

The next morning, An Zhi found that Yan Xi was waiting for her.

“Shall I send you to school? Final exam today?” Yan Xi looked at her and smiled.

An Zhi knew that Yan Xi was courting her, she felt a sour nose for some reason, bit her lip and walked out the door without speaking, she didn’t see Yan Xi frowning behind her.

An Zhi wrapped her scarf tightly and walked with her head down and counting her steps.

One step, two steps, three steps…

The wind in her ears, the voices of others talking, the sound of cars… Is that her?

An Zhi glanced out of the corner of the eye, it wasn’t her car.

She continued walking in despair, feeling that she was being hypocritical.

Suddenly, a horn came from behind, An Zhi’s heart skipped a beat, and he stopped involuntarily. Yan Xi drove the car slowly to her side and stopped.

Rolling down the car window, still with a gentle smile: “Okay, get in the car quickly, don’t be late.”

An Zhi bit her lip for a few seconds, and finally got in the car, Yan Xi saw her smiling eyes crooked when she got into the car, and naturally reached out to rub her hair.

An Zhi tilted her head, Yan Xi’s hand was empty, she was stunned for a moment, and briefly slipped. Then pull back and start the car.

There was still snow on the road, so Yan Xi drove very steadily and carefully. The car was quiet and warm, and no one spoke.

After a while, Yan Xi said, “I’ll pick you up after the exam in the afternoon. Shall we eat what you want? Eel rice or cheese fondue?”

An Zhi tugged at the corner of his clothes, but he didn’t say good or bad.

When we got to school, he got out of the car.

“Tao Tao?” Yan Xi stuck her head out of the car window. On a cold winter morning, her face was as charming as the cover girl in a pictorial.

She seemed to want to say something, but she still didn’t say it, just smiled at her: “Come on, I’m going to work first.”

An Zhi stared at the car track where she left for a while, and felt that she was extremely hypocritical.

After the exam in the afternoon, An Zhi walked out of the school gate and saw Yan Xi’s car. She should have arrived early and was surrounded by several cars behind her.

An Zhi walked to her car, Yan Xi was leaning on his seat and reading a book on his mobile phone. She usually doesn’t like reading books on her mobile phone, and dislikes the screen being too small. An Zhi guessed that she was too bored to wait for a while.

“Huh? The exam is over? Shall we go eat?” After seeing her, Yan Xi put the phone aside, still in a gentle tone.

The more comfortable she was with her, the sadder and sadder she became. While hating their own hypocrisy and secretly uncomfortable. In this unspeakable torment, she stood still.

Yan Xi was stunned for a moment: “Aren’t you going?”

An Zhi lowered his head and did not move.

The parent of the car behind Yan Xi received the child and drove out, only An Zhi remained in place.

Yan Xi frowned and expressed her doubts. Thinking about what was wrong, she shook her head, “Tao Tao, I don’t understand…”

“Are you still angry?” Yan Xi could only guess.

Yan Xi was silent for a while, and sighed slightly: “You get in the car, let’s go home and talk about it, okay?”

The two of them froze here for a while. Many classmates saw An Zhi standing in front of the car door, but they didn’t get in the car, and cast curious eyes.

This was especially true for Xu Jiaer. She had stood there for a while and looked at it, her eyes exploring.

She took several steps away from them and shouted, “Little squad leader, what’s the matter?”

An Zhi didn’t know which of his nerves was wrong, but he turned around and said, “Wait for me, let’s go to dinner together.”

“Ah?” Xu Jiaer was confused.

“We agreed to go to dinner together before, do you remember?” An Zhi conveyed to her from his eyes, “Please, cooperate with me.”

Xu Jiaer’s expression changed from surprise to clear: “Oh… let’s go eat together then?”

“Okay.” An Zhi turned his head and looked at Yan Xi: “I’m going to dinner with her, auntie, you go back first.”

Yan Xi didn’t answer, she just looked at An Zhi with a calm expression. For three or four seconds, she asked repeatedly, “Are you going to dinner with her now?”

An Zhi wanted to take a closer look at her expression, her heart clenched into a ball, her rationality was like a boat drifting in the sea, unable to reach the shore anywhere.

Yan Xi already nodded and said, “Okay, let’s go.” She withdrew her gaze, started the car, An Zhi’s lips moved, and she stopped talking and finally said, “Remember to bind my card to WeChat.”

The cars behind her had already driven away, clearing a large section of road for her. I don’t know if it was the performance of the car that was too good or her mood was fluctuating, and the car flew away with a bang.

The author has something to say: let’s talk about the changes in this chapter.

I changed it twice.

The first time was shortly after launch, and a reader told me that it was a little bit logical.

Because in the first draft of the original text, “the mobile phone is not charged, it has no electricity.” This sentence and the following sentence “the mobile phone is in her pocket, and it does not ring.”

“Because the mobile phone is out of power, then it will not ring if it does not exist”, these are the exact words she said.

It’s just that what I was expressing at the time seemed to be a state of mind, “a kind of inner hope, knowing that it won’t sound, but still expecting it to sound” mentality, because this is my personal state of mind and body. Later, I felt that the expression was not good, not to mention that not many people can understand it. So I changed it.

Then, in the later rants, the people who complained even said that I would not read it and turn to other articles for a while and there were still a lot of responsive comments. (I can still accept it) I can’t accept my “personality collapse” comment.

I thought about it all night last night, and I didn’t feel that there was a collapse. Instead, I felt that there might be a better connection between the conversations before and after.

I have been able to get through after losing my mobile phone before, but after thinking about it, I changed it to the ‘shutdown” phenomenon that happens to most people.

Some commented that such a change has brought An Zhi’s relationship with Yan Xi closer, which makes people feel strange, and also changed Yan Xi’s lack of attention to his ex.

I never wrote that Yan Xi was absent-minded to his ex, I just changed “the two looked at each other for several seconds” to “the two looked at each other for several seconds, then Yan Xi looked away”.

And add “I’m getting more anxious.” (Obviously, some people think that the dialogue and small gestures do not reflect the heart of the protagonist)

This is where I changed it.

Now for me:

One, no one is more careful about their progress than I am. Only I know how many spellings I have overturned.

Second, I know that these words will also make people complain. Those who complain about me will not say that I have changed well, but those who do not complain will say that I have changed deliberately. I can’t get it right on either side.

But why do I say that, because of the grievances, I have to roll on the ground and say grievances without being old-fashioned.

Third, I know that the best way is to not change it as soon as it is updated, but I can’t do it. I just make mistakes, typos and bugs. I’m not afraid of losing face. The trustfund in the EX text is still a “trust” fund. If I don’t change, someone will keep reminding me, so sometimes I get annoyed.

Four is not wrong. I just wrote a small composition in chapter 73, and I have written this chapter again. I hope there will be no more. (no old tears)

(Lao Deng, tell me what to say about you? It’s better to be cold when you are older.)
