Perfect World: Dream of the Immortal Era

Chapter 61: Reflections on Publication

The plan is to update with three chapters daily, aiming for ten thousand characters per day.

However, since I'm writing about the Ancient Immortal Era without much to reference, I cannot predict when my inspiration might run dry, so I can only strive to do my best.

This time, the story doesn't begin at Stone Village, nor does it follow Shi Hao or the chaotic framework of the original work.

Even the cultivation system I've created is my own, so there's unlikely to be anyone claiming that I can't write outside of the original framework like my previous work on the Ten Fiends.

Some have also said that readers prefer stories within the original framework and should not include too much personal interpretation.

I think there's some truth to that. In the previous two books, including too much personal content indeed led to a significant drop in subscriptions.

How about introducing an Ancient Immortal Era?

So, the focus of this book will be the Ancient Immortal Era. I want to write this era well and leave the chaotic ancient matters aside for now.

Regarding cultivation levels, there are currently only two: the Dao Seed and Rooting.

Many have asked what the subsequent levels are. I'll write about them gradually.

In essence, a Dao Seed is planted within a person, takes root, sprouts, and grows into a towering tree...

Rooting and Germination are actually terms originally used in the novel to describe ancient cultivation methods; it’s not something I made up.
