Chapter 175 175:Demon Of The Battlefield[II]

Seeing the sudden shift in the battle scenario and sensing a Martial King at the front freezing everyone, Liebert and his corps were ordered to take care of them.

The monsters were born to wield weapons and battle. They did not do what they would do other times but during the war, they partook in the job of shedding blood on the battlefield and slugging it out with the most powerful enemies.

They would get even more elated and excited every time they swung their weapons. They savored the vague sound of cracking bones in the enemy's body.

But this time things took an unexpected turn as it was then who were on the receiving end.

Libert, who was the Corps Commander, frowned seeing them trying to break out of enforcement.

'Although they can break out, why are they advancing here? Are they planning to take on the huge troops ahead with more elite soldiers at the back?'

'And...what about that man who is charging out of the battle formation?'

On reaching the front, he along with others saw a tall human swinging a huge black sword of twice its length.

Even for a monster it was a menacing man who swung his great sword with a large force casting deep fears. With a swing off his sword, he chopped a head or two and sent blood as well as flesh splattering everywhere.

The sight of Leon's black greatsword was both terrifying and mesmerizing. As he gazed upon it, he couldn't help but feel a shiver run down his spine at the sheer menace it exuded. The blade, drenched in blood and gore, seemed to pulsate with a dark energy that sent a chill through his bones.

Bits of flesh and bones clung to the serrated edges of the sword, evidence of its deadly efficacy in combat. Liebert's eyes were drawn to the gruesome sight, unable to tear himself away from the horrifying phenomenon before him. Each piece of flesh stuck to the blade served as a grim reminder of the sword's deadly purpose, sending a wave of fear coursing through his veins.

The blackened steel seemed to drink in the blood of its victims, casting a sinister aura that hung heavy in the air.

Liebert could almost feel the malevolent presence emanating from the weapon as if it were alive and hungry for more carnage. In that moment, he knew that facing an opponent wielding such a weapon would be a battle for survival unlike any other he had faced before.

''Wait....That Blacksword.."

Shortly after that, he shouted.

"Him!''

Liebert's eyes widened in disbelief as the memory resurfaced.

An order given to them by their liege.

[If you see a man wielding a huge Black greatsword with menacing eyes, make the lower realm ones retreat and all the upper ones try to hold him down.]

'But this also means he is a valuable opponent and bringing his head would make a great contribution.'

But that icy woman was making things difficult so he decided to use the mage squad to get rid of her.

Liebert gritted his teeth in horror and shouted, hold him.

But much to his horror despite the numerous onslaught the woman survived.

"What kind of menace is she?"

However, little did he know that the worst was yet to come.

Under the carnage of the mad woman, that man suddenly disappeared under everyone's gaze…

Under the dust and heavy smoke of mist, Leon used this opportunity to sneak in.

The next thing everyone knew was Leon arriving at the front of the Mage squad with a thunderous crash making their formation sway a bit.

"WWWWAAAHH!"

"KHMMMM!"

"Human…Kiekkkk."

Soon the sight of a sinister evil smile struck everyone's vision and then the vision of Orc mages started turning dark as the human struck his greatsword even before they could react.

[Dragon Claw]

As Leon charged at the Mage squad, wielding his great sword with ferocious strength, the air crackled with golden lines. With a mighty swing, he unleashed a devastating shockwave that tore through the battlefield, leaving destruction in its wake.

The Mages, caught off guard by the sudden onslaught, screamed in terror as they desperately tried to shield themselves from the approaching doom. "No! Protect the formation!" one Mage cried out, his voice drowned out by the deafening roar of the shockwave.

However, the moment Leon's sword struck the shield, it cracked under his sword tyranny.

Another Mage, seeing the impending danger, let out a piercing scream of despair, realizing the futility of their efforts against the unstoppable force bearing down upon them. "We're doomed! Scatter!" she shrieked, her voice trembling with fear as she braced for the inevitable impact.

But it was too late. With a thunderous crash, Leon's great sword cleaved through the Orcs of the Mage squad, cutting through their defenses like a hot knife through butter.

The screams of agony and despair echoed across the battlefield as the Mages fell one by one, their spells and incantations powerless against the relentless attack of the charging warrior.

"Attack him, attack him."

BOOM!BOOM!BOOM!BOOM!

A torrential rainfall of attack poured on Leon but all he did was laugh aloud.

"Sorry guys. My body is a bit strong."

Instead of retreating, Leon braced through the spells that bounced off after clashing against him and struck his great sword mercilessly.

As the dust settled and the echoes of battle faded into the air, the once formidable Mage squad lay in ruin, their bodies strewn across the battlefield like broken dolls. Leon stood amidst the wreckage, his great sword stained with the blood of his fallen enemies, silence fell at the scene making everyone gulp.

The remaining survivors, those who had managed to escape the devastating shockwave, trembled in fear as they surveyed the aftermath of the onslaught. Their faces pale with terror, and they exchanged panicked glances, realizing the dire situation they now found themselves in.

"We... we have to retreat," one of the surviving Mages stammered, his voice barely above a whisper as he struggled to compose himself. "There's no hope against him."

At times Leon snapped his head towards them. The Mages flinched seeing those burning gazes.

"Flee....Where..."Leon murmured, activating his Draconic eyes.

Behind a wave of front-line orcs slowly started crashing behind them.

"Leader....Leader..."

"Huh!"

Liebert's expression turned ugly as he lost his composure for a moment.

"Maintain the form..."

His shout was abruptly cut off by bewildered screams that annoyed him greatly.

"KIEKKK!"

"KHMUMMM!"

"I can't...RUNNN!"

Even before he could finish his sentence...

Nodding in grim agreement, the others hastily gathered their wits and began to flee from the battlefield, their footsteps echoing loudly against the ground as they scrambled to escape the wrath of Leon.

A strong mental pressure crashed onto everyone's mind radiating from Leon scaring the shit out of them. Everyone that stepped into 50 meters of Leon radius felt their back tingles and body shiver in fright.

For a moment everyone had the illusion of great dragon claws encroaching upon them.

"AHHHHH!"

"RUNNNNN!"

"I can't take it anymore ... .RUNNNN!"

But even as they fled, the memory of Leon's devastating charge lingered in their minds, a haunting reminder of the merciless force that had decimated their ranks.

And as they disappeared into the distance, their cries of despair echoed faintly in the wind, as Leon, like a grim reaper, chased after them.

"Hey, where the hell are you going? Get back and give me exps."
