Chapter 33 Swallowed into the belly

Since the production of pot failed, Brandon had no choice but to continue enjoying his barbecue life. When he woke up from trance in the morning, Brandon found that his internal qi had begun to liquefy.

A flash of joy flashed through his heart. Skyler had already gone out hunting. Now Brandon basically didn't hunt much anymore. He was now a chef. Things like hunting were basically done by Skyler, and the efficiency was very high.

He ate a few dry pieces of jerky and decided to visit the sinkhole today. Those giant snakes had become even bigger after the marrow cleansing in the past few days. They were full of energy every day, turning the entire pool upside down. Their bodies had begun to look more and more like the Snake King, and two sarcomas had appeared on the top of their heads.

After greeting the giant snakes and asking them to take good care of his house, Brandon began to run outside. The sinkhole was about ten kilometres away from Brandon's cave, on the top of a mountain. Brandon arrived after running for more than ten minutes.

Although I have been here last time, every time I see the sinkhole, it appears deeper than before. He sighed.

The sinkhole was like a big mouth looking up to the sky. It was impossible to see the bottom of the steep cliff. There were some sparsely growing small trees on the cliff. Surrounded by mountains on all sides, the nearby hills were only two or three hundred metres away from them, while the undulating mountains on the far side seemed to be at the end of the sky.

There were dense and large virgin forests at the bottom of the tiankeng, which were green and full of vitality. Groups of mist emerged from the bottom of the tiankeng, the surrounding mountains and fields were green, and the blue sky was like a wash. It really felt like a fairy cave.

The surrounding fog began to thicken and soon filled the mountains. The mountain wind was biting and thick fog billowed from east to west. Rain and fog made the already steep cliffs wet and slippery.

Brandon slowly climbed down from the top. Due to the fog, the entire pit wall seemed very slippery and covered with all kinds of moss.

Since the walls of the pit were recessed inward, no sunlight reached them, and there appeared to be few plants. Brandon was climbing down step by step. Many times, his entire body was only supported by one paw, and his entire body was suspended in the air, which felt thrilling.

Fortunately, Brandon's claws were extremely strong. Every time he climbed down, he dug his claws deeply into the rock wall. Even with his powerful strength, he began to pant and his heart was pounding. After climbing down for nearly a few hundred metres, Brandon finally reached the waist of the sinkhole.

Brandon discovered that the bottom of this sinkhole was a slope with an inclination of more than 30 degrees. The first thing that caught his eyes was a lush plant world and a dead old tree, lying on the slope. It appeared as if it was welcoming Brandon specifically.

Walking into this sub-biome, Brandon felt like he was in another world. The trees here were extremely tall, with a diameter of five to six metres, and a height of more than fifty metres. There were also all kinds of strange things.

Weird plant.

From time to time, the roar of wild beasts could be heard in the distance. At this time, you could still see the skylight if you looked up, but it was already a dark night at the bottom of the cave. The humidity at the bottom of the pit was very high, the temperature was around 20 degrees, warm and humid. There were exotic flowers and plants everywhere.

I don’t know if it’s a psychological effect, but even the sky has become very dark.

When Brandon walked into this eerie valley, he was amazed at the uncanny creativity of nature, but also felt an unprecedented sense of oppression. There was no road there at all, and there were cliffs on both sides that were more than a thousand metres high.

The widest part of the valley was several kilometres long, and the narrowest part only allowed one person to pass. There were trees there that were hundreds or even thousands of years old, and they grew in strange shapes.

Day turned into illusionary night, and even time seemed to have stood still here. Brandon slowly walked forward. Gradually, he found that the bottom of the pit was getting wider and wider, and many long and strange creatures began to appear.

Brandon found that this place basically formed an ecosystem of its own, and many extinct creatures were here.

Although I haven't found anything threatening yet, the entire jungle is full of danger. Brandon walked for nearly half an hour and only found some small animals. The uneasiness in his heart eased slightly.

He found a huge lake in front of him and planned to go there to drink water. The lake looked very quiet under the huge trees, and the lake water was as clear as sapphire. Brandon found that there was basically no wind here. It seemed very quiet all around. Brandon went to the lake and started drinking water.

The water quality here was very good, sweet and refreshing. Drinking it immediately refreshed him. He unconsciously thought of a certain brand of spring water in his previous life. It was a bit sweet.

Just as he was sighing, suddenly Brandon's heart palpitated, as if something dangerous was about to happen. He quickly rolled to his side, but it was obviously too late.

A gust of wind came over him, and he felt a damp feeling. The breath wrapped around him tightly, and suddenly the entire space suddenly turned dark. Brandon felt himself following the water slowly to a damp place. An indescribable stench assaulted his nostrils.

After a while, Brandon's vision gradually adapted to the darkness. He found that he was surrounded by yellow liquid, and dense white bones were floating around him. At this time, he saw a large fish over two metres long swimming violently in the yellow liquid.

After struggling, its scales began to melt, followed by skin and flesh. In less than five minutes, only a middle bone and head were left of the big fish, floating in the liquid. And the bones are slowly melting.

Brandon checked his scales and found that there was nothing serious except for some softening. Still, there is no guarantee that nothing will happen to me for a long time. First, I need to figure out where this place is.

He looked around and saw red walls all around. The walls looked very soft and were still slowly squirming.

It seems to be alive. Could it be that I have entered the body of a creature? Brandon couldn't help but click his tongue at this idea.

He tried to move, but the viscous liquid made it difficult. Brandon realised he was indeed inside something, perhaps a creature's stomach. Panic surged within him, but he forced himself to stay calm and assess the situation.

The stench of decay filled the air, and the dim light barely illuminated his surroundings. Brandon observed the walls more closely, noticing pulsating veins and strange organs. His mind raced with questions. How did he end up here? Was he swallowed by some giant beast? And most importantly, how could he escape?

Despite the dire circumstances, Brandon knew he had to act fast. He searched his surroundings for anything that could aid his escape. His keen eyes spotted a faint glow coming from one side of the stomach cavity. Intrigued, he cautiously approached it, hoping it might lead to an exit.

As he got closer, he realised the glow was emanating from a cluster of bioluminescent organisms clinging to the wall. Though small, they provided just enough light to see his immediate surroundings.

With newfound hope, he carefully examined the area, searching for any weaknesses in the stomach wall or potential escape routes.

After what felt like hours of meticulous exploration, his efforts paid off. He discovered a small opening near the top of the stomach cavity, barely large enough for him to squeeze through. Without hesitation, he began to climb towards it, using his claws to grip onto any protrusions in the fleshy wall.

As he neared the opening, he could feel the stomach contracting around him, threatening to crush him. Ignoring the pain and discomfort, he pushed forward, determined to escape this living prison.

With one final surge of effort, he managed to squeeze through the opening and emerge into a narrow passageway beyond. He collapsed onto the ground, gasping for air, relieved to be free from the suffocating confines of the creature's stomach.

But his ordeal was far from over. Now, he faced the daunting task of navigating through the creature's body and finding a way out before it realised his absence from its stomach. With resolve hardening in his heart, Brandon picked himself up and ventured deeper into the unknown, determined to survive against all odds.
