Chapter 0024: Magic?
"Th-thank you for your generosity..." I clasped my hands together, bowing my head with a pious look.
None of the options were what I wanted, but compared to the others, the first one was at least tolerable.
"I'm glad you liked it," Yui-senpai said calmly, nodding her head. "It's getting late. I should be going."
"Y-yes, take care, senpai," I let out a huge sigh of relief. This awkward situation was finally over. Thank goodness!
"Be careful," Yui warned before leaving. "That Uchiha Danzan probably won't let this slide easily. His strength is about that of a Tokubetsu Jōnin." Without any hesitation, she turned and walked away.
Tokubetsu Jōnin, huh...
I raised an eyebrow and called out to her departing figure, "Got it, thanks for the heads up, senpai." Then, I turned to walk in the opposite direction.

The system's voice rang out in my mind, nearly causing me to stumble and fall to the ground mid-step.

I felt my face twitch uncontrollably. I had no words left to curse the system's insanity, so I could only let out a miserable "What the hell..." under my breath.

The sun was setting, and the village of Konoha was gradually bathed in twilight.
"I'm home," I called out weakly as I opened the door. "I'm skipping dinner tonight, I'm not hungry."
"You didn't even have lunch, and now you're skipping dinner too?" A voice came from the living room, where Kurenai was sitting and reading a book. She glanced at me sideways. "Are you trying to reach enlightenment or something? Not hungry? Is it because your senpai already fed you?"
"W-what do you mean by fed?" I wiped the sweat from my brow, pretending not to understand.
Lately, my sister had been picking up quite a few suggestive comments, and honestly, I was struggling to keep up.
"Never mind." Kurenai didn't press further, though she knew full well I was playing dumb. Her eyes then shifted to the bag I was carrying. "What's in there?"
Crap! I forgot!
My heart raced. I had been so focused on the weird "Little Magic Fairy" outfit that I completely forgot to stash this thing in my tool pouch! There's no way I can explain this without getting kicked out of the house!
Thinking quickly, I hesitated for a moment before blurting out, "Oh, uh... this is a jutsu scroll I asked Yui-senpai to help me get."
"A jutsu scroll?" Kurenai raised an eyebrow. "Aren't our clan's jutsu scrolls enough for you? Or are you implying that you've outgrown what we have at home?"
"N-no, it's not like that..."
I quickly shook my head. "It's a bit of a special jutsu, one of the Uchiha clan's secret techniques. Anyway, that's all it is... so don't worry about it. I, uh, I'll head upstairs now!" I hurriedly threw out the excuse and dashed toward my room.
"Suspicious..." Kurenai squinted at my retreating figure, muttering to herself, "There's no way the Uchiha would just lend out their secret techniques so easily. That boy's definitely hiding something! Hmm, I'll have to see what he's up to..."
Smirking like a fox, she thought of the spare key she had stashed away, waiting for just such an opportunity.
Phew.
I locked my door and let out a long sigh of relief. If she had pressed me any further, I really would have been in trouble. Thank goodness I ran fast enough!
I tossed the paper bag onto my desk, then sat on the edge of my bed, rubbing my face with both hands.
Just then, the system chimed again.

It took me a second to realize—this must be because that Uchiha kid, Nanakawa, passed my message on to his brother. I bet that guy, Uchiha Danzan, is furious right now and gearing up to come after me.
Looks like I'll need to make some preparations...
Despite thinking this, there wasn't any fear or panic on my face.
A Tokubetsu Jōnin was generally stronger than an average Chūnin but weaker than a standard Jōnin. For someone like me, they wouldn't be much of a threat.
But I wasn't keen on revealing my true strength. I never liked being the center of attention. That's why I needed to prepare—to handle this situation while still keeping my abilities hidden.
But... that aside, I really couldn't stop thinking about the Bala Bala Little Magic Fairy outfit. Out of sheer curiosity, I willed it out of my dimensional tool pouch.
As expected... the outfit looked exactly like the one from that anime in my previous life. The frilly dress, the hairband, the magical box, and even the matching wand were all recreated in perfect detail.
So... if I put this on, could I actually use magic from the Magic Fairy Castle?
Staring at the sparkling ensemble laid out before me, I felt my mind wandering, and a bold idea began to take shape in my head.
