Chapter 72: Mage Nation.

 

Manofrea, or the mage nation, focuses on the development of magic in their daily lives. After the creation of the federation centuries ago, the non-noble mages and warriors, after being treated unfairly by the royals and aristocrats, took this opportunity to leave and created their nation. That was the birth of the mage nation and warrior alliance and the fall of several small kingdoms.

 

However, over time, the mage with noble bloodlines manage to insert themselves and become one of the forces that control the mage nation. Because of that, there are the non-noble, the neutral, and the noble factions. The leader of the mage nation comes from the neutral faction.

 

Qraso City, mages, and normal civilians can be seen traveling using Mechanical transport or hoverboards on the road. In the sky, people ride a magic broom, flying carpets, or other flying devices to travel in the air. With the invention of mana liquid, magic devices, and transport can be used by anyone.

 

At the center of the city is the Aurora Gem mage tower, and although the mage tower doesn’t control the city directly, its influence is strong. A middle-aged man wearing a dark green mage robe is reading the report of what has happened in the past few months.

 

Primitive mages kidnap and try to steal primitive magic research.

 

Over the centuries, there have been many primitive mages that have come to mage nations to find a way to break through to master rank, but they have failed. The reason is simple: the mages don’t share their findings with non-members of their mage tower.

Philip walks past many mages in the mage tower, and all of them bow their heads in respect. Although most of the magi don’t like him because he is weak, there is nothing they can do.

 

Most civilians will send their gifted son or daughter, who has an affinity with mana, to enroll in the Magic Academy to become a mage. Unfortunately for Philip, he is already 18. There is an age limit to enter the magic academy; they need to be under 15 to enter. He had the talent to become a mage, but he didn’t have money when he was young.

 

His mother doesn’t even know the real identity of his father. Only when his mother passed away and he accidentally encountered the Patriarch of the Aurora Gem mage tower was his father's identity solved.

 

Since then, his father and stepmother have been arguing. Both his younger half-brother and sister live at Magic Academy, but they still don’t know about it.

 

After Philip left, Roderick asked the female mage about his son's progress.

 

"He already enters the early stage of an apprentice mage."

 

"Once he came out from his detention, open the mana gathering formation room, and find me a mage teacher that can teach him in secret." The patriarch of the Aurora Gem mage tower is not of master rank. Even with resources, most master ranks only advance after they reach 60 and above. Because they required the accumulation of knowledge and epiphany.

 

From what he found out, the master mage is busy doing research or guarding the mage tower's valuable resources, like the mana stone mine. For how many master and grand master mages the Aurora Gem mage tower has, it was considered confidential and only the patriarch knows.

 

The leader of the mage nation is among the talented mage that manages to break through before the age of 40 to become a master mage. Now he is at least 300 years old. There is even a rumor that he has already risen to the rank of grand master mage.

 

The carriage gradually slows down and lands in front of a large mansion. When the mansion door opens, several maids come out to greet their young master.

 

Because of the first young master's handsome face, most of the maids fantasize that the young master will marry them. Few brave ones even enter the young master's room to have fun. Philip just lets them do whatever they want; it’s not like he forces them to do it.

 

Once Philip enters the mansion, he goes straight to his room to meditate. However, there is a knock on the door, and a maid with a ponytail enters the room and smiles seductively.

Templeris Forest, which is similar to Pondover Forest but smaller in size, is one of Manofrea's most dangerous regions. Nonetheless, monsters rarely emerge from the forest because the mage towers and magic academy use it as a training ground and gathering ground. However, they are not allowed to enter certain areas due to the high level of danger.

 

In one of the forbidden areas right now, two large horned bears are fighting. Other monsters that try to interfere will get killed by them, or a void portal will suddenly appear, and a fire chain will tie them up and burn them to death.

 

On top of the tree branch, Levi is observing the fight. Ben, after leaving the red sand desert, has already changed his fur back to black. The mage nation was different from other kingdoms; even normal civilians used magic devices in their daily lives.

 

However, monsters can’t enter the town and city because of regulations. He needs to be a member of any mage tower; without a choice, he enters the city alone and gathers information about Manofrea.

 

After that, he decided to make a base in Templeris Forest. Coincidentally, they enter the territory of a two-horned bear. Soon the two-horned bear surrendered to the three-horned bear, Ben.

 

The two horn bears are surprised that humans can talk; it reminds him of the male elf ambassador, but the way to communicate between them is different.

 

Levi, after talking to the horned bear, had an idea: how about creating a force inside the Templeris Forest? He smiles and begins his plan, even if it fails. He can have an endless supply of death points.
