Reincarnation – Naruto

The last two years have passed in relative peace. I maintained my position at the top. The fan girl in Sakura had also died a little.

Sasuke was aloof. And although it added to his charm, I did everything possible to keep Sakura away from him including training her.

I don’t know why Kishimoto even wrote her. Her only redeeming point is her good chakra control.

And sometimes I despise myself for putting so much effort into her. But I want to tame her. I’m someone who remembers grudges.

And I still remember what happened on the first day of the academy. I plan to train her properly.

Plus having excellent chakra control will help her progress easily when Tsunade takes her in as a disciple. I don’t plan on any of my wives being weak.

As I walked to the academy, I sensed two chakra together along with several others. I had memorized these two chakras because it was my ticket to get a pair of MS.

Although there were easier ways to get a sharingan. But I didn’t want a normal sharingan. And getting an MS during the Uchiha attack is out of the question. Obito, Hiruzen, and Danzo will be keeping a close eye on the situation.

I sent a shadow clone transformed to observe the situation. Although I am still not at the future sensing level, I can still sense intent.

There I saw Danzo and Shisui talking about something and the root ninjas were hidden. I got ready to act. I sent one shadow clone at the bottom of the Naka river.

I knew that I could not save Shisui no matter what.  After knowing about kotoamatsukami, Hiruzen will not allow Shisui to live.

I suspected that Hiruzen personally wanted to come but could not allow anyone to know about his involvement.

When I sensed he was about to act, I threw a senbon to divert his hands. I was so focused that I didn’t sense the root ninja attacking me. But I have achieved my purpose.

I heard Danzo howling in rage that someone derailed his plans. Danzo hit Shisui in the chest. But he failed to get his Sharingan.

In the end, Shisui jumped into the Naka river and I got his Sharingan.

I was worried about transplanting them. Even though I would adapt to them, I didn’t want to lose my original eyes. But luckily for me, as soon as my real body touched the eyes, they got absorbed as if I was absorbing chakra.

I got a massive affinity for yin chakra and I awakened one tomoe sharingan. Although I had to train them again, I was fine with it. I was aware that nothing came without cost.

Even my current life has a cost. One that I had already paid.

We were discussing the rebellion again. I cannot understand why can’t the clan see that nothing good will come out of this. It will end up weakening Konoha along with the annihilation of our clan.

Itachi informed us today that they are planning to stage a coup soon. It seems I have no other choice.

“Hokage-sama, I may have a solution.”

Hokage sama seemed pleased.

“Speak Shisui. How can we avoid this mess.” Yes, that’s exactly what it was for him. A mess. He was confident that he could win the war but he didn’t want to go to war in the first place. It was one-sidedly decided by the Uchihas.

“Hokage-sama, I have awakened my mangekyou sharingan. Its ability is kotoamatsukami. With it, I can change the will of the elders that are pushing for a coup.”

“Excellent Shisui. With this, we can prevent the coup.” He smiled. Something seemed off in that smile. Must be my imagination. I have too much stress.

Later that day Danzo sama called me for a meeting. As we were talking, he suddenly attacked me. I see he was after my eyes all along. But someone intervened. Instead of getting my eye, he punctured my lungs and root ninjas started chasing me.

I ran but I knew I had limited time. So when I came near Naka river, I jumped. Before I hit the ground, I saw someone standing there. It seems even after doing everything, my eyes are going to be stolen by Danzo.

“Forgive me Hokage sama for not being able to stop the coup.”

Just after Shisui left

I hope Danzo is going to kill Shisui. We cannot have such an unstable element in the village.

I shuddered just thinking about him controlling me without me even realizing it. I knew about Danzo’s experiments with Orochimaru.

But better for him than an Uchiha. At least he will use it for the village and not against it. I just hope he doesn’t use it against me. It seems I have to visit Kushina.

After the death of Shisui, the monkey came for a visit. At first, I thought my cover was blown. But I was surprised when he asked for seals that can counter MS.

I realized that he still doesn’t know that Danzo doesn’t have the eyes. Kushina helped him with a seal that could counter an illusion of MS.

Days passed. I had stopped going to the academy and sent a shadow clone. I still had the problem of Hashirama cells to solve. The massacre is still to happen.

During the past few years, Mikoto and Izumi visited regularly. So I didn’t want them to die. So I decided before the massacre, I’ll try to save them.

I’ve been feeling uneasy since morning. I knew that the day of the Uchiha Massacre had arrived.

“Mom Why don’t you invite Mikoto nee-san and Izumi nee-san over for lunch today?”

“That’s a great idea sochi. They haven’t visited in a few days.”

Both of them arrived and we had lunch together. When they were about to leave, I did my best cute expression and asked them to stay the night. Izumi was worried about her grandmother but in the end, relented.

The Anbu following them were frustrated but there was nothing they could do. And I knew Obito could not teleport in the house.

Kushina had learned her lesson during the Kyubi attack. Now some seals prevent MS teleportation.

In the evening, the Hokage could not wait anymore. Sasuke was about to come back home.

So the massacre started. I was keeping an eye on the situation.

Danzo and Obito were busy collecting sharingan and Itachi continued killing his clan.

After killing Fukuga, Obito tried teleporting Itachi directly to our home. This resulted in Kushina going on high alert.

Obito dropped Itachi in front of our house. By this time Kushina had realised that something was wrong. She immobilized Itachi immediately.

“What are you doing Kushina?” Mikoto asked in shock

“We will talk later nee-chan.”

I realized that if Itachi got caught here, two people would have to take things into their own hands. So I loosened the seals just enough for him to escape. Seeing the opportunity, he escaped immediately.

In the night Mikoto and Izumi received the news of the massacre. They were devastated. But not as much as Sasuke. We offered them to sleep at our house as Itachi may return.

The next morning Hiruzen came to give his condolences and vowed to bring Itachi back to the village. Mikoto knew about what was going on but kept silent.

Since Mikoto was still alive, a proper funeral was held for the Uchihas. The only problem was that all their eyes were missing. Mikoto knew that even if Itachi killed his clan, he would never desecrate their bodies.

Inside Uzumaki residence

“Hiruzen has gone too far this time.” Kushina vented. There were seals inside the house so there was no risk of him spying.

“Humph, they want to research the sharingan. Let them try. If it was that easy, the ninja world would be filled with Sharingan users of the dead Uchiha.” Said Mikoto coldly

“Visual power is not the only use for the Sharingan.” I said butting in the conversation

“What do you mean Sochi.”

“I heard from Shisui ni-chan once about the tail of six paths and how his son Indra possessed the Sharingan.”

“What’s the connection between this and collecting their eye?” Kushina asked. I saw Mikoto going pale.

“He told me there exists a jutsu that in exchange for blindness does something miraculous.”

“It’s Isanagi.” Said Mikoto, her face going paler by the second

“Since there is no clan anymore, there is no point in keeping it a secret.”

“Isanagi is a jutsu that overwrites reality.”

That statement was like a bomb dropped on everyone. Only Sasuke was absent. I did my part and acted shocked.

“That means Hiruzen Now has unlimited lives.” I sighed

“Sochi..”

“There is no point in maintaining respect for that man anymore.”

“I always found it odd that the secret location of my birth was leaked and the one who used the reaper death seal was Dad who was in his prime instead of Hiruzen who already has one leg in his grave.” I said hinting at the truth

“You mean..” Mikoto had a shocked look on her face now. It was funny seeing her face change expression.

“The Uzumaki are dead and the only ones alive are the two of us and both of us are Jinchuriki.”

“The Senju clan Died in various ambushes.”

“The Uchiha clan was massacred by one of their own.”

“The Hugya clan has their caged bird seal.”

“The Nara, Yamanaka, Akemichi, Aburame, and the Inuzuka are not interested in politics.”

“That only leaves Sarutobi and the Shimura clans.”

“I’m not saying that the third is involved in everything.”

“I suspect that the third didn’t lift a finger.”

“That Danzo character must have acted with the silent approval of the third.”

“This way only those two are the candidates for the Hokage.”

“Jiraiya does not want the responsibility, Tsunade is heartbroken about her brother’s death, Orochimaru conducted inhuman experiments and Sukumo san committed ‘suicide’ after the rumor. And Kakashi san is mourning Rin and Obito.”

“There simply is no one to contend for the Hokage position.”

I can see the rage on their faces as the pieces fit together.
