Remnants anomaly

Abusing divine artifacts

Salem couldn't even be happy about finally destroying atlas since no matter how you look at it the siege was a complete loss on her part. monstra was completely erased from remnant along with a sizable number of wild grim. The only "positive" thing that came from this whole affair was that cinder had started to take her training more seriously rather than coasting by on her talent as a maiden. the fact that leon held genuine maiden level power came as a great shock to both salem and her forces. Salem had theorized that he may be close to that point but hadn't thought he had already crossed that gap.

It wouldn't be wrong at all to say that salem considered him far more damaging to her plans than even the grim reaper was a few decades ago. a single weak individual with silver eyes was annoying but a maiden could cause far more devastation and was much harder to put down. even worse was that that maiden level power also apparently had a form of immortality similar to her own which made killing him so close to impossible that it was better to be friends then enemies.

The problem with that plan was that unlike ozpin who had to effectively restart every time he was killed leon was growing over time and there was no telling when he out grew her. salem was basically left with little option other than personally going to negotiate with him now before he had a chance to meet her on equal footing. for the first time in a VERY long time salem was actually nervous about something. her expression grew bitter when she thought of her long lost children who were murdered by ozpin oh so long ago.

Meanwhile leon had gotten ahold of the artifact of creation and was experimenting with it in his personal lab. he was quite surprised when this weird genie thing popped out of the staff spout some robin williams esque line about being free after so long. leon made the genie very nervous however when asking for extremely detailed information on it's purpose and abilities. a not so fun fact that leon learned about the artifact however was that it had once belonged to the individual known as the beast god and was used to create the faunus race. leon was told by the genie that that man was killed by the gods for growing too powerful and risking their grand plan to return.

Leon had the suspicion that the only reason he hadn't been met with a similar fate was because a god had sent him into the world to begin with. he did not doubt at all that he had thrown the gods original plan into the trash with the effect his presence was having on the world. the biggest reason for this thought was the extremely advance technology he was cranking out on a regular basis that basically make humanity not need the gods at all.

"Still none of that's my problem." leon said with a shrug before using the artifact to produce dwarf star metal much to the genies horror. The abilities of the artifact was based on the knowledge held by it's wielder and leon had the knowledge of the full sciences of both earth and remnant. this meant he knew that the core of a sun was incredibly dense metal that was basically impossible to recreate on remnant. that same metal was also ridiculously heavy as well making it perfect for an idea leon had.

The gods were rather speechless at what leon decided to create with the artifact since they all had bets on it when they saw him steal the thing. none of them had expected this however since it was not in line with his usual actions. "see! this is what makes this so entertaining you never quite know what these mortals will do!" alex said excitedly not at all unhappy to have lost the bet. "i suppose you do have a point , this time at least." weiss said with a huff.
