Reverend Insanity’s Formation Venerable

Wei Ru took hours but finally managed to solve all the partial formations. The blinding lights and the glistening dust around the area was settled as well as any pitfalls and wires. Everything was finally completed. 

Wei Ru looked around, it was a hallway made completely of metal, there were some lights flowing around reminding him of some Sci-fi movies. He shook his head, "Even sci-fi worlds would be more safe than this place." He had a bitter smile that suddenly turned into a bright smile.

"Finally, my first large scale resource point." Wei Ru knew that the foundation of an immortal, besides prowess, is always money, and to get money, one needed to trade. Wei Ru had invested everything that he had obtained in this inheritance in order to construct it. He looked around at his immortal aperture. It had vast space with 20 small sized, 1 mid sized, and 1 barely considered large scale resource point.

"Besides my life, my immortal gu, and the half secluded domain of heaven and earth, this is the most important thing I have." Wei Ru knew, many low tier super forces, especially ones with just 1 or 2 immortals only had a handful of large scale resource points. He took out a resource produced from the resource point.

"Painted Scales, a relatively rare immortal item, very good formation path resource," Wei Ru nodded before looking towards the large steel door. He slowly and cautiously pushed on it, he walked very slowly to prepare for anything.

A bronze hall appeared in front of him.

At the center of the hall, there was a metallic lamp hanging.

This flame was weak yet covered the entire hall. It was an immortal flame.

Wei Ru remembered slightly reading about Han Li taking the inheritance. "Walk back all the time, even when wanting to go forward."

Wei Ru slowly walked back, his steps were meaningful and had a slight tremor when walking. Yet strangely, he actually went forward. 

"Hmm, I could probably comprehend this formation after a month, yet there is no need to." Slowly yet surely, as the flame flickered and the walls cast dim shadows, Wei Ru managed to reach the end. He looked forward, yet he walked backwards even though the fire was just a hand's grasp from him. 

The room trembled slightly.

The fire flickered before a crane slowly expanded in Wei Ru's sight. 

"Hahaha, young inheritor, congratulations, you completed Zhen Yuan Zi's inheritance, you will own everything he possessed." The crane spoke boisterously. Wei Ru nodded.

The Crane shone in a green light and shot an information gu at Wei Ru, "Use this information to enslave the Green Claw Ghost winged lion."

The walls disappeared, they were made from phantom copper, it showed a massive lion with green and looked slightly ghostly.

It was still sleeping. Wei Ru quickly got to work and used all the killer moves he designed for this exact situation, he even got this main killer move ready. Yet, it was unnecessary, the lion slightly trembled its eyes yet didn't open it. Wei Ru smiled and flickered a golden ball at the beast. 

It shone in a golden light that made it look like it was created of solid gold.

The lion again trembled its eyes. 

The eyes reacted with the golden light, turning golden from the original green.

The lion's green color came back in its body yet not the eye.

It was a special killer move Wei Ru had designed for this exact situation, another situation like this couldn't be replicated again. "Hmm, the time path killer move, 'Seeing Back fondly' is quite effective, it even has a few hints of human path, if only I had it's immortal gu, it could subdue any ancient desolate beast quite quickly, as for Immemorial, it would take some time. The reason it worked now was due to the special situation."

The crane had eyes has wide as saucers.

"This, amazing, brilliant. As expected of my master." 

Afterwards, Wei Ru spent some time refining the Immortal gu, it was the Formation Flag gu as well as the Crane.

The Crane quickly fluttered around Wei Ru yet it only made him sad. The immemorial desolate beast looked at him fondly yet he cared not. 

His eyes were filled with tears yet didn't break free from the eye, he blinked again, it went away but the sorrow didn't.

"Wei Su, I want to listen to you chirp again." Wei Ru stored the crane and rode on the Immemorial Desolate beast, he would still have to get familiar with it for it to work effectively, yet he was now happy.

He had the foundation to challenge Rank 7 Immortals.

A few weeks later

Wei Ru was at the Green Ghost desert, it was filled with as many soul beasts as he had remembered. He had let the Immemorial beast eat it's fill to power it up, after all, every storage technique had a few drawbacks. 

He could see the lion happily devour a desolate soul beast. The beast tried to resist but the green miasma was corroding it's strength and was basically preparing it to be eaten. After a minute, the beast was eaten and the lion growled in joy.

Wei Ru looked in joy, the stronger the lion, the stronger he was. He put some gu worms of mortal class on the lion as well which allowed him to do even better. 

"By now, the lion has 70% of it's original strength left. There is very few that eating will fill, the rest will mainly come down to immortal gu, unfortunately it's a soul path beast, I am a formation path, I have no ability on getting it an immortal gu." Wei Ru shook his head with a wry smile. 

He checked the Treasure Yellow Heaven and looked at all the buyers he had. He had been selling the soul cores that accumulated, and even signed an agreement with the Xiao clan of Western Desert to sell soul cores to them at a high price if he was punctual. He sold an absolutely large amount that shocked the Xiao clan immortal who was doing the deal. He managed to get a immortal class token from them.

He accepted it but reminded him of the fun times he had when he was a mortal with Wei Su by his side. 

"I now have 300 immortal essence stones. Along with the 1,000 from before, I now have 1,300 immortal essence stones, I should invest some in top tier mortal killer moves and buying more formation path resources to increase my buildup. By now I have 50 small, 20 middle, and 1 large scale resource point. I will also buy more information on Gu Zu from information path immortals."

He was already familiar with it, he had now been doing this for many days and got used to it.

Suddenly he got an information path gu, he quickly sent 100 immortal essence stones and was ecstatic. "Gu Zu is in this Green Ghost Desert?"
