So in my opinion, chips are a field where competition is based on a ten-year time unit. To achieve full autonomy, it may take 30, 50, or even 100 years, but start earlier. There will be a greater chance of success.

I often think, if one day others don’t authorize their architecture, others don’t let us use their EDA software, and people don’t sell us lithography machines, what should we do?

Are we waiting to die?

However, Mr. Fang’s consideration from the enterprise side is also a very realistic problem. Therefore, in the field of chip research and development, I am going to set up a special project team, which I call the Unknown Project team.

What does that mean? Simply put, the company will conduct chip research and development from two levels. The first level is closer to the company’s income generation. We purchase architecture authorization, purchase EDA use rights, purchase lithography machines, and even forward it directly to the company without production Companies like TSMC do it.

And the second level is the project team of the Unknown Generations. The work they are responsible for is to tackle these six foundations.

For the time being, I intend to invest the company’s annual scientific research investment into the conventional chip project team and the unknown project team in a way of seven to three points.

This project team is destined to not be profitable for a long time, and it is not even ruled out that they will not be profitable until Dafeng Technology collapses.

Perhaps, they will always be unknown people. No one knows that there has ever been such a project team.

But perhaps, one day in the future, the unknown project team will become the most dazzling miracle in the entire science and technology field.

And what I want to do is to do my best to protect this group of unknown people so that they can have a better environment to do scientific research.

Although I don’t know what will happen in the future, I just have an inexplicable hunch that the unknown will be famous all over the world…
