Rise of the Zerg in the World of Gods

Chapter 70: The Value of Lords

The main advantage was that starships could transport a large number of troops at once, while using teleportation was too costly and not worth it.

However, these were matters for the future. Now, it was time to reap the rewards.

Although the alien allied forces' starships had fled, not leaving behind the Demi-Gods' avatars, the captured units themselves were a great fortune.

The remaining corpses were also a good harvest.

Moreover, the terrain cards extracted from the previous 28 targets were numerous, and the incorporation of the ruined Divine Realms had greatly expanded his Divine Realm's area.

All of these were gains.

Of course, what could truly be counted as gains were mainly the specific resources.

For example, after the destruction of 28 Divine Realms, 46 common and 3 rare terrain cards were extracted.

This was just the minor part.

The major part was the sealed unit cards.

Whether from the 28 Divine Realms or left behind by the alien allied forces, all had now become his resources.

Bronze-tier units, from Tier 1 to 5, generally had similar prices with little variation.

From Bronze Tier 6 onwards, prices started to vary.

Each level had a different price.

After cleaning up the aftermath, Xu Luo entered the Divine Realm's main city with a pile of gains.

As soon as he arrived at the logistics department's marketplace, he saw a familiar face standing there, quietly waiting.

"Senior, what a coincidence!" Xu Luo greeted Li Tian with a smile.

"I was waiting for you," Li Tian smiled back.

"The principal said you should be arriving soon and asked me to wait here for you and give you this."

He handed over a stack of documents.

Xu Luo took them curiously, opened them, and felt his heart sink.

The stack of documents revealed a long list of bills.

Spring God's Blessing: God-tier scroll, price 1.5 billion faith power.

...

Breeding Card: Silver-tier item, price 3 million each, total 120 cards.

Xu Luo couldn't bear to look at the final total at the bottom of the long bill.

Seeing Xu Luo's expression, Li Tian was curious. The bill was for Xu Luo, sealed with Zhong Tianyue's divine power, so only he could see it. Li Tian didn't know what it contained.

Xu Luo wasn't in the mood to discuss this with him and followed Li Tian into the store.

"I have some things to sell to the logistics department to offset the debt. Take a look and give an estimate," he said as they walked.

"Follow me," Li Tian said, hearing this, and led him to a private room.

"Wait here, I'll call an appraiser."

Li Tian worked here, but his job was just to receive people. Others handled the rest.

For instance, when someone came to sell items, specific personnel would evaluate the prices.

Xu Luo told him to go about his business and started taking out the sealed units one by one.

Previously, he had sealed the units in batches without categorizing them.

Now, of course, he couldn't present them so haphazardly, so he grouped similar ones together.

A moment later, a middle-aged man with a goatee walked in.

"You're Xu Luo?" The middle-aged man entered with a smile, looking very friendly, and introduced himself.

"I'm Xu Dong, we share the same surname. Principal Zhong told me about you. I'll give you a fair price for these items."

The appraiser only handled price evaluations; the logistics department management would handle the payment. However, Xu Luo didn't need this, given the valuable items he had previously obtained on credit.

"Hello, Teacher Xu," Xu Luo greeted politely.

"Let's categorize them first," Xu Dong frowned, seeing most of the sealing cards were in disarray. As an appraiser, he had a bit of OCD and found such messy sealing cards extremely uncomfortable.

Generally, sealed units in sealing cards had standards.

For example, a sealing card for Bronze Tier 1 common units could hold 1,000 at full capacity. When appraising, he could directly give a price.

For Tier 1 units, one or two faith power per unit, and he could set the price.

But if there were Bronze Tier 1, Bronze Tier 3, common units, elite units, all mixed together, and not reaching 1,000, it would be very difficult to estimate.

If one sealing card was like this, what about hundreds or thousands?

With Xu Dong's help, the process became much faster.

After all, this was Xu Dong's profession, and he was very skilled.

Initially, Xu Luo had sealed units randomly, except for the Kobolds. Especially the last batch, with many units mixed together, was very difficult to sort out.

After categorizing, it became much easier to handle.

Looking at the stack of organized sealing cards, even Xu Dong, who had handled many over the years, was very surprised.

Not only were there many sealed units, but the variety was also incredibly diverse.

"Among these sealing cards, the few Silver-tier Lords are the most valuable. My suggestion is to take them to participate in the auction that opens tonight," Xu Dong offered his advice.

The school held auctions periodically: small ones every three days, medium ones every ten days to half a month, and large ones every three to five months. It had become a routine.

Items could fetch higher prices at the auction house. He said this because Zhong Tianyue had specifically instructed him to give a fair price.

Otherwise, they would usually lower the prices a bit.

"No need," Xu Luo shook his head.

"I said I would sell the Silver-tier units I obtained to the school."

Although he could get more profit by auctioning them, Zhong Tianyue had agreed to give him credit earlier, which was against regulations, but he said nothing and directly provided it, even offering something as valuable as the Spring God's Blessing.

While Xu Luo wasn't a good person, he understood gratitude.

When he could reciprocate, he naturally wouldn't be stingy.

"It seems Principal Zhong hasn't misjudged you," Xu Dong gave him a deep look before speaking.

It appeared that the student Principal Zhong valued this time wasn't ungrateful.

Having said this, Xu Dong continued to evaluate the prices of various units.

"Man-eating Vine, Silver Tier 5 Lord, can evolve, quite rare in the market. Its advancement path is relatively simple. With enough resources, evolving it to Silver Tier 9 Man-eating Flower King isn't difficult. The last one sold for 18 million. Now, after some time, there's a premium. The school won't take advantage of you; we can offer 20 million!"

"Whatever you decide is fine," Xu Luo nodded.

He hadn't expected Silver-tier Lords to be so precious.

However, he didn't know that the Earth Dragon he had killed from Xiang Xun was a Dragonkin, which was even more valuable.

But with Lords being so expensive, it seemed he could have a lot left after selling all the units.

This would allow him to recover some losses.

The previous battle had left his entire Divine Realm in tatters. Although it was only superficial, it looked quite miserable.

More importantly, many Zerg had died.

He needed to ensure sufficient forces.
