Secret Dice

Chapter 19 Hunger

Looking at the newly emerged rules, Luo Jun fell into deep thought.

Several of them can be mutually confirmed with the rules of the hotel lobby. If it were Luo Jun last night, he would probably use this as a basis and believe in these rules with evidence.

But it's different now. After Mr. Yuan's advice last night, he learned a new message.

If there are contradictions or changes in the rules, it probably means that there is more than one force in this mission.

So does the last rule, hunger and fatigue, represent two forces?

As a human being, I am advised to choose the latter, what do you mean?

Is fatigue safer than hunger?

As mentioned earlier, hunger can be relieved through sleep. Does this also represent the opposition between the two forces?

However, there is also a contradiction here. Since I can't sleep in the guest room, why are sleeping pills given? Sleeping outside? Isn't that more dangerous?

After last night's thrilling experience, the room has become the only safe haven in Luo Jun's heart. Now the new rules strictly limit the time he can spend in the room. He wanted to stay until he checked out, but now it seems that he can't.

Even so, Luo Jun stayed in the room until nearly seven o'clock, then carefully opened the door, exposed half of his body and looked around.

Although the genius is bright, the corridor is obviously much brighter during the day than at night.

There are lights at night, so the corridor should be dimmer in the early morning. This shows that the brightness and darkness are not due to lighting, but to some other reason.

Just as Luo Jun was observing carefully, the door of the next room suddenly opened. Luo Jun was startled and almost closed the door instinctively. But when he thought that the time limit for staying in the room had reached, he still rushed out and ran towards the elevator or corridor at full speed.

As soon as he went out, he heard a scream next to him.

Turning around, I saw a short-haired woman in her mid-twenties, dragging her suitcase, standing at the door with a frightened look on her face, as if she was startled by Luo Jun who suddenly jumped out.

"What's wrong, honey?" A young man in his twenties or eighty-year-old chased behind the woman, carrying something in his hand and carrying a backpack. Judging from the posture of the two of them, they were obviously a traveling couple.

"Ah, it's okay..." The woman glanced at Luo Jun. After all, she was too embarrassed to say that she was scared. Luo Jun could only pretend not to see it and walked forward on his own, but his attention was still behind him.

The couple was packing their things while complaining about the hotel's weird rules. They looked like ordinary tourists.

Could it be that by daytime, everything was normal?

Luo Jun murmured in his heart and looked back at their house number. It was 0317. The one who was eaten by the girl was the guest in room 0311...

Luo Jun stared at 0311, but the door never opened.

The stairs did not lead to the first floor. Luo Jun came to the elevator door. Soon, the couple came over and waited for the elevator with him.

Ding, the elevator door opened, and the couple dragged their luggage in, but Luo Jun hesitated.

"Brother, why don't you come up?" The man pressed the door button.

"Ah, I left something behind, thank you..." With that said, Luo Jun walked back.

Although everything seemed normal, Luo Jun still didn't dare to be with other people in a closed space like the elevator. If those two people suddenly grew one eye and two mouths, Luo Jun would have nowhere to run...

But before the next elevator came up, another tenant came out from around him. This went back and forth several times. It took almost twenty minutes before Luo Jun finally got on the elevator.

It was still a round of dice and he successfully reached the first floor.

The hotel lobby was much livelier than last night. There were people drinking tea and chatting in the lounge area, consulting at the front desk, and even people coming in from outside the door.

Can the door be opened?

Luo Jun walked out as if nothing had happened, but as soon as he reached the door, he felt an invisible force blocking him.

"Sir, have you checked out?"

The voice of the hotel receptionist came from behind. Although it sounded soft and polite, Luo Jun felt a chill rise up his spine, as if the person talking to him was not the gentle and beautiful receptionist, but a man-eating monster.

"Oh, I forgot." Luo Jun said nonchalantly and slowly backed away. The chill subsided as he moved away from the door.

"It's not time to check out yet. If you are hungry, you can go to the restaurant to enjoy the free breakfast."

Luo Jun nodded in agreement, but didn't want to cause any complications. If you enter a restaurant and find out that there are rules that require you to complete certain conditions before you can leave, that will be a problem. Anyway, according to the rules, there is still half an hour of buffering time before hunger strikes, and it will be too late to eat again by then.

If you want to take this place, sit in the seating area in front of the restaurant and wait for the check-out time.

As long as the time is up, you can just check out and leave, and the damn mission will be completed!

Time passed minute by minute, and finally, when the hour hand of the hotel wall clock passed nine o'clock, Luo Jun suddenly frowned.

He's a little hungry.

It has been more than eight hours since the last upgrade, and most people should be hungry. The question is whether this hunger is what the rules call hunger.

The front desk said last night that if he was hungry, he would know clearly...

As soon as he thought of this, Luo Jun felt his eyes go dark. At the same time, an uncontrollable hunger rose from his belly!

This is... Luo Jun was shocked. He could clearly feel his heartbeat. With every heartbeat, the scene in front of him would be distorted. Under the attack of terrible hunger, Luo Jun looked at the guests coming and going in the lobby and felt that they were not human beings, but walking roast chickens and elbows!

"Is this... the feeling of hunger mentioned in the rules?" Luo Jun swallowed unconsciously, and relied on his strong spirit to suppress the desire to rush forward to eat, and began to circulate the vitality in his body.

As his vitality was recuperated, Luo Jun felt that his hunger had weakened, but he still had an uncontrollable urge to eat!

"No wonder the rules say to avoid hunger..." Luo Jun swallowed: "My mental power is ten times that of ordinary people, and I have the vitality to help resist, yet I am so coveted. If I were an ordinary person, I am afraid that I would be hungry the moment I attack. It’s out of control.”

Just when he thought of this, he saw a roasted chicken... No, a tourist suddenly went crazy and threw down a roasted suckling pig next to him, pecking at it frantically with its stewed beak. The roasted suckling pig was struggling, While making a howl like a killing pig... No, that's a human scream!

Luo Jun shook his head vigorously, why did he always unconsciously regard them as food?

That hunger is polluting my cognition!

Luo Jun initially had some illusion that he could resist hunger by relying on his own spirit and vitality. Now looking at it, the half-hour buffer in the rules is probably not for ordinary people, but for the polluters who started the mission!

He underestimated the intensity of hunger

Must eat!

Luo Jun desperately resisted his hunger, barely maintained his sense, stood up, and slowly walked into the restaurant.

There were many people in the restaurant, some sitting at the table eating, and others choosing food in the dining area. In Luo Jun's eyes, these people are all walking chicken legs, elbows, braised pork, fried shrimps, and pancakes and fruits...

As for the real food, from his perspective at this moment, it is not so tempting...

Increasing the speed of his vitality, Luo Jun tried his best to eliminate distracting thoughts, then walked to the staple food area, took a piece of pancake, rolled two fruit sticks, not forgetting to brush some sauce and sprinkle some coriander, and then took a bite.

"Well! I'm satisfied!"

Chewing quickly, as the mouthful of food went down, the hunger was relieved by most of it.

Luo Jun ate the homemade pancakes in two mouthfuls, and the world in his eyes finally became normal...

Thank God.

But Luo Jun didn't dare to be careless. He still didn't walk out of the restaurant, but returned to the entrance to take a look.

Sure enough, there was a piece of paper taped here with the rules of the restaurant written on it.
