Shuttling Between the Two Worlds

 

Distortion Plane. A place that is dangerous, even for Deity Realm combatants. Here, the historical projections of many destroyed worlds reside.

At first, it is told that they were just fragments of broken worlds. As the zergs destroyed more worlds, the broken world fragments accumulated just like trash in the garbage dump site. It continuously existed within the zerg world, as if it couldn't let go of its hatred.

Still, they were nothing in the face of the Zerg World, a world which is strengthened with the price being dozens of destroyed worlds.

It was no match for it, thus it only resided without doing any harm. But then, a mutation happened. When the "fusion" of the Alliance's world happened, it was affected as well. Every single broken world fragments fused into something unrecognizable. Moreover, it completely escaped the zerg world's influence as it fused with the Alliance world.

There, "distortions" can be seen. Distorted monsters with many strange bodies, distorted environments where many uncanny things such as an everlasting fire in a forest, and the distortion of the time itself.

To those who got killed in their worlds and had their reincarnation cycle destroyed, they revived in this dimension. Only, they completely forgot about the zergs and this dimension, thinking that they're living "normally".

Though, when they see zergs, they appear to be soulless, attacking any zergs every time they see one.

'I hope that I could get through this.'

Right now, we got teleported into a mystical place. Floating islands can be seen just by looking in the sky. People who are riding their swords can be seen quite often here.

"Grotto heavens? Is this a cultivation-system planet?"

"Seems like it. Meili?" Senior Light asked.

"Right. This is a cultivation world."

This time, I activated my [Truth-Piercing Eyes], allowing me to see dense amounts of spiritual qi as well as the laws of this world. What's even more shocking is that my eyes couldn't pierce through its 'truth'. I only knew that this plane/planet is called "Grand Desolate Grounds".

Here, powerhouses such as Immortals (Deity) existed, and there are even Immortal Kings (Peak Deity) and a known Pseudo-Sage (Half Creator) exists!

Tribulation Transcendence Realm (Demigod) proliferated it and the abundance of people who has Immortal-Grade (EX+) talent is present here.

"Leader, this place is too dangerous. We should find a place to recover first."

I told Leader Irna of my findings. I also demonstrated my disguise capabilities which can even fool a Deity Realm combatant.

"Alright."

We carried Vera and her subordinates into the interstellar ship. Now that our high-end combat power isn't present, we should proceed in this place cautiously.

With that, I disguised myself thoroughly, allowing others to only see my Spirit Vessel, the carrier of higher-leveled spiritual qi which is known as True Qi. It contained the laws and I've used it with my Heaven's Force so I have a great grasp of it.

I exited the ship, seeing it off as it goes into stealth mode in this mountain range. I changed Xiao Song's appearance to a classic cultivator's outfit. I chose white and blue as its default color to fit in more. As far as I remember, most righteous factions wear this. I've also transformed Little Xue into a cultivator-type sword.

The black nanomachines formed a new sword that I've never seen before. Its blade is completely black, with some traces of time in it. Just by looking at it, you would feel a time power.

-A sword created from a fiendcelestial's corpse. As Emperor Shi of the Xuan Dynasty forged this blade, it gained a special characteristic related to time.

-After being devoured, the trait [Time Phantoms] has been retained.

-When using this sword, it will release 10 identical phantoms similar to it. Every single one of these phantoms is delayed compared to the time of the original sword. Only, these 10 phantoms are 'real', dealing 80% of the original sword's damage to the enemy.

I was just thinking about it when a black spear targeted me from afar. I blocked it easily, sending it to the ground not far away from me.

"You bastards!"

The black spear flew back at his hand. Right now, I can see him completely.  Unlike what I've expected, he looks like a very normal human.

Below, I saw the usual traits that someone could possess. But then, this is the first time that I saw that prompt.

'Corruption? Not Distortion? What?'

I stared in the air for a while, not minding another attack that was aimed at me. He postured for a spear stab as he shouted.

"Die!"

I activated my Embryonic Domain. In an instant, the land became shrouded with darkness. Tentacles of darkness appeared as they restrained this cultivator.

"W-what is this?"

He tried breaking through the restraints to his arms, but he couldn't. He summoned some spear intent as well, but it didn't work, too.

I pointed my sword at him, and then I stabbed him.

It pierced through his heart. moreover, 10 sword phantoms from bits of time before the present appeared and stabbed him even more thoroughly. It pierced through his lungs, arms, legs, head...

It formed a very grotesque scene where a human is pierced like a witch's doll. Still, I remained indifferent with the help of my own skills and [Decisiveness].

'Hm. Here it is..'

"Screetch!"

The ordinary-looking human became a black tentacled monster in the span of a second.

Thankfully, I've isolated this place with a darkness sphere, hiding this truly scary scene from the outside world.

"They look like they've been corrupted by an eldritch abomination..? I've only read about this in books."

This tentacle monster has 2 eyes, 2 arms, and many tentacles. When I said many, it's that many. Apart from it, it has the normal outline of a humanoid. Only, its head became longer.

3 seconds later, it died completely. I burnt his corpse with the [Light Control] as a safety precaution. The only thing left is his spear anf a space ring.

I looked to the loading bar that was there earlier. It appeared when I killed 8 Deities, so I didn't know about it. Turns out, it was part of this.

Now, can someone explain to me what the hell is this?
