Shuttling Between the Two Worlds

Chapter 18: Training [1]

He left right after this. Before that, he told me that my training would start tomorrow.

Training arc? It's my turn to experience it now.. It would be boring to watch in an anime show but then, I don't know much about many things yet.

Using a sword, a dagger, etc.. I literally bulldozed through my enemies using [Sword Willows]. That's why I am hoping that I can learn new things, that the training arc would be interesting.

'Anyways, Xiao Song, did you tell him about the matter regarding that?'

I discovered that since Xiao Song became repaired to A+ Rank, telepathic communication is possible. Since the insides of the armor is isolated, speaking is enough to communicate. Only when she reached A+ Rank did the function got unlocked.

{Not yet, master.}

'Good. Please keep it a secret for now.'

{That.. Understood.}

She might've wanted to ask why I wanted to hide it from Master, and it's simple: I don't want to be hailed as the "Protagonist".

I know my limits, I know my insane growth speed. But then, being a "Protagonist" is not only troublesome, but it also requires some things that I do not have.

The conviction to save this world, the plot armor of the Protagonist, his very strong unyielding willpower, and so on.

I am born a mob. Heck, not even a mob. If I'm in a novel, I would've been in that single sentence where "Thousands of people died".

I only became special thanks to the [Panel]. What's more, if the Protagonist here is a Regressor, I might've affected his plans. Averting the supposed to be "Planet Kyton Disaster" is enough. I can't afford to make those "Butterfly Effect" that I always read in novels.

With all that said, I laid down the bed and continued to ponder over my future plans.

*****

"You haven't mastered the basics yet, I see. I should add this to the plan."

My master spoke. To be honest, I'm only at the layman's level of Swords before I got captain's [Sword Mastery]. That's why I didn't even know the basics such as the rhythm, Mental aspects, and so on.

My first day of training in this snowy place. As someone who has an average of B- Rank on my body stats, plus the resistances that I have, I can easily endure the cold in a snowy place, but not here.

As if it's a special place, I felt the sensations of cold an ordinary person would feel if they're in a place with -17°C with only thin clothes.

My teacher told me that I would train in this world for 5 years, with him instructing me everyday. Then, here comes the problem: How do I get Exp?

I didn't expect the solution to be simple. I told my master that I needed to kill beings to fuel that thing. And he believed it.

"You need to kill for it to charge up? That is.. quite reasonable, as your trait would need a fuel as well."

In the end, he told me that he'll bring a strong zerg or space beast once every 6 months.

Anyways, right now, I am swinging the sword that my master gave me repeatedly.

Swoosh!

This is all that I have learned from the 1 year military training. Stab, cut, and parry. Those three basic swordsmanship skills. I showed it to him and told me that.

"You see, swordsmanship isn't simply swinging your sword. As I've said earlier, you need to master the other factors as well. The Mental Aspects, in particular, is the most important one besides the practical skills."

Mental Aspects. Your confidence in swinging a sword. Your deceit when you're fighting an enemy. You not losing composure in an unexpected situation. The temperament that a person has.

Lucky me though. Since every time I activate my cheat trait [Decisiveness]..

I become devoid of negative emotions. Thus, it will be easier for me to train in this situation.

"To develop your mind and technique, you will swing a sword until you give up. To top it off, I will seal your current rank to F+."

As he had said that, Divine Sense penetrated me, sealing my B Rank power. This works too?

Thinking that it will be fine since I have the [Decisiveness] trait, I activated it.

Huh?

"Ah, right. No usage of traits as well."

Well, sh-

*****

4 hours have passed. Not only is my arms aching, but it is also shaking badly.

F+ Rank. The level of the professional athletes back in my world. If I have this level of fitness back then, it would've been enough to top most ordinary people. Ordinary people, that is.

Now that I've seen those SS Ranks, my worldview changed.

Clang!

Shit, I dropped it. I looked at my hands, which is shaking, before I struggled to pick it up.

Gritting my teeth, I started to swing it again.

****

I don't know how many hours had passed, but I picked up the dropped sword again, only to drop it again.

"You can stop now."

My master told me that. I wonder, how many hours had passed?

"It's been 8 hours."

I see. I am surprised that I did it for that long. I don't know if its because of me using [Decisiveness] repeatedly, or if its because of my current encounters, but my willpower pulled through it.

I laid down the snow. My arms are numb, but hey, I at least pulled through.

"By the way, I am quite surprised by the outcome of today's training."

"Why?"

"As far as I can see, you still haven't done this before. Meaning, this is your first experience. With you not being able to master even the basics, I am surprised that you have such a strong willpower that didn't come from training."

Maybe the repeated deaths had an effect.

"Either way, you just further convinced me that my decision of taking you as a disciple is not wrong."

"Master.."

"Stand up. I'll give you something to heal your fatigue. After that, I'll have to teach the basics with you."

"Is it a medicinal bath?"

"No, but it's much better."

Master then brought me back to the hut, or to be exact, the place where the hut is built.

He then removed a barrier, which then revealed a Sci-Fi building.

"Master, what's the use of the hut?"

I honestly thought that master is some reclusive expert like on the novels. Building a hut in a snowy place where he trains the sword every day. Turns out that my world view has to be updated again.

"That's the place that I hastily built earlier. I didn't know just how much destruction you would cause during you revive. It's the twisting of the conventional laws, after all."

"I see.."

That's true. In master's eyes, I might've been an anomaly. He didn't know that I can revive just as peacefully, so he had done that.

The insides of the building is well, unexpected. It has a vibe of both medieval ages and modern ages at the same time. The paintings, the chandeliers, a white box in which I don't know whats the use, and so on.

"All right. Here we go."

Master then led me into a room. A Medical Room. Inside it are 4 capsules filled with green fluids.

"The most advanced medical cabin as of the moment. It's not yet released even to the people of the Inner Layer."

Inner layer, the more prosperous planets reside there. Just the fact that it wasn't released there yet just showed one thing: Master is awesome.

"Since this clone is at EX+ Rank, I wouldn't need these, but I just brought some just in case."

After touching the panel for a while, the cabin opened.

"Get in."

I got in. Wow. The numbness of my arms were getting healed. Not only that, the injuries that I suffered from the 8 hours of swinging such as muscle strain and so on were disappearing.

A technological world surely is convenient..
