Side Note

It's me, it's me, it's DD… never mind. Madeleine here, currently playing some Go Fish with Myka, Merry, and Mel. I've just realised all of our names start with M. I feel like I was told that at some point, but then again, I probably wasn't listening. 

"Oi, Madeleine. Mendass to Madeleine." I turned to Myka, who looked ready to punch me. "You can go back to the inner monologue. Just tell me if you have any sevens."

"Go Fish."

"Fuck."

Anyways, where was I? We're currently in Merida's office, all six of us. For some odd reason, the mansion is really empty nowadays. Aside from our Go Fish game, Mimi is on the couch sleeping like a cat, and Lina is sitting behind the desk eating some apple slices and drinking a cup of milk.

"Hey! Don't go revealing that!"

"Why not?" 

"Because I don't want childish to appear on my character profile!"

"That would suck… got any twos, Merry?"

"Go Fish."

"Don't go back to your game!"

Why are we all in Merida's office? I have no idea. I wasn't paying attention. All I remember was that Lina wanted some apple slices and a cup of milk, saying she'd have more than enough time to snack before I got to my intro, whatever that is.

"Madeleine brings up a good point. Why are we here?"

"I just wanted to have the ensemble cast together, you know. People love that kind of thing… I think."

"That's just your taste, sister."

"Well, whatever." Lina suddenly jumped on top of the desk and posed dramatically. "I have an announcement to make."

"Ooh, announcements! Is it something related to the Moon? Did you discover a body? Are you revealing you're a time traveller?"

"There are references you shouldn't be able to make, Madeleine."

"I understand the second one. I must thank Mammon for introducing me to the otherworldly concept of video games."

"Why is Merry suddenly a gamer?!"

"I wish to contribute to this conversation by saying something stupid and have it be retorted."

"When did you even get meta, Myka? Since when was that something you did?!"

"Nyaa~"

"Oh, good morning, Mimi."

"Good morning… is the meeting starting?"

"That is the case, generic catgirl! You get a point, but the points don't matter!" Lina jumped off the desk and rolled into the middle of our Go Fish game.

"What the hell?!" Mel grabbed Lina by the shoulders. "What do you think you're doing?!"

"Ooh, I want to join in!" And so I tried to roll around, but my maid dress is a bit too wide, so now I'm just lying down, facing the floor. Mmm… floor.

Merry set her cards down, then stood up with a calm look on her face. "I have matters to attend to. If you continue to waste our time, I am prepared to leave without hearing the news."

"Haa… fine, fine." Lina got up, brushed her clothes, and sat on the desk. "So, Lanie and Maddy, you remember what I said yesterday, right?"

"Nope."

"You went on and on about… I don't remember. I kind of zoned you out once I realised you were trying to be one of those dorks who think metanarrative villains are the coolest thing."

"Well, fuck you too." Lina flipped off Mel, who responded with her own. "Anyways, I just said that whole villain spiel because it seemed like fun. I wasn't going to act on it. It's really stupid when you think about it. I mean, come on, a fictional character trying to end their own story? That's the most pretentious form of fictional suicide you can ever witness."

"What does that have to do with this meeting?"

"Because there's a change of plans that just so happens to impact our livelihoods."

"What do you mean by that?"

"We're getting kicked out."

"What?! But my dungeon! I've finally perfected it!"

"So we're back on the road. Like the good old days, Mel!"

"I've still got our table, so we should be fine."

"Nyaa~"

"Oh my god, they've character assassinated Mimi! Soon I'll be reduced to… wait, what sounds do bunnies even make?"

"I've got good news, though." Lina got off the desk and let out a smirk. "We get to be a group of cute girls doing cute things."

The room grew silent, all of us staring at Lina. Merry and Mimi looked confused, clearly not knowing what she meant by that statement. Mel looked annoyed as if she knew exactly what Lina meant and had a disdain for such things. I looked with a blank face since I was only really staring to fit in.

"Okay, we can stop this whole thing. Since we're not a visual medium, it's not that funny, especially with how terrible Maddy is at describing faces and emotions… actually, you just suck at explaining in general. I can't tell if that's a lack of ability or genuinely you, and I feel like it's because that's genuinely you."

"Aww… that's flattering."

"Whatever." Lina stretched out her arm, pointing towards the door. "Adventure awaits! To our first target!"

"Woohoo! Targets!"

"HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! FEEL THE WRATH OF THE SUMMONER WHO HAS CONQUERED HELL AND ALL THAT'S BELOW!!!!"

"Nyaaaaaa!"

"Mimi! MIMI! MIMMMMMIIIIIIII!!!!"

"Why couldn't it be Myka?! Why the generic catgirl who got character assassinated?!"

"Hold up! You should've been the sacrifice, you stupid Merida stand-in!"

"Oh, that's enough. Now you are about to get these hands, bunny bitch!"

"THE DEMONS WORSHIP ME, THE ANGELS FEAR ME, AND THE GODS ARE BELOW ME!!!!! THUS SAYS MERRY THE SUMMONER!!!!"

"We sure went to shit quickly, and it wasn't even your fault, Madeleine."

"So what are we going to do with the dude?"

"Hmm… look into his eyes and then send him to the Shadowrealm."

"Aye aye, lover!"

"Hmm… everything will probably return to the status quo next chapter, so nothing, really."

"There's a cafe over there. Want to have a quick little date?"

Character profile: Momo Tachaka

Sacred power: Unrelenting

Favourite set of armour: Nothing

Description: The man who doesn't have surrender in his vocabulary. Momo didn't always have a Sacred Power, however he was gifted one after he was noticed by the God of Justice. Momo was already an unrelenting person, having fought until he passed out in many duels he has been challenged in, and in most cases, still continuing to fight even while unconscious. His goal is to one day reach the highest heights possible, and he is currently fighting anyone and everyone, believing if he can beat everyone on Mendass in a fight, he'd have gathered enough strength to go to the highest point with nothing but a single jump.
