Slave Harem In A Labyrinth Of Another World (Fix)

Chapter 11 – Intelligence Cards And Loot

I wait by the side of the road while the wagon does a u-turn, I get on to the seat beside Bikka as we go back the way we come. Next, we turn back onto the main street and towards the city center.

There are stalls set up along both sides of the road, selling food, clothing, and miscellaneous items--crowds of people gather around them, milling and talking.

Soldier - Lv21

Swordsman - Lv27

Priest - Lv15

Cook - Lv8

Wow, there’s a lot of Classes--and a lot of people of quite a high level.

Adventurer - Lv13

So, there really is an Adventurer Class.

The building in front of us is the headquarters of the Knights. While we were on our way, Bikka pointed it out to me.

We arrived at the middle of the town, some form of open plaza with a large brick bell tower to the left. The wagon stops in front of the headquarters building.

“Can I inquire as to your purpose to coming here?” A knight comes out of the building, he speaks politely, but curtly.

Knight - Lv4

His level is low, I wonder if he is an apprentice.

“My companion here has the intelligence cards of a group of Thieves, some of which are wanted.” Bikka said, turning to me, “Alex, show the Intelligence Cards to him.”

“Okay.” I shift the rucksack around and open it, taking the Cards out. Which I handed to the Knight.

I had looked at the Cards before, but didn’t see anything written on them, I wonder how he can get information from them.

“I will need to confirm your intelligence cards.” The knight nods.

“Yes, please do.” Bikka stretches one of his arms out towards the knight, the back of his hand is facing the Knight’s face.

Intentions of the Soul, Breath of wisdom, Intelligence Card--Open!” He says something like an incantation--they sound like they are in a language I can understand, but also seem off.

Hmm…I wonder if this will go bad--I don’t think I have an Intelligence Card.

What will happen if I don’t?

The knight finishes looking through the information displayed on Bikka’s Intelligence Card, and Bikka lowers his hand. The Knight approaches me--well, I have no choice but to try.

I held out my left hand.

Intentions of the Soul, Breath of wisdom, Intelligence Card--Open!

An Intelligence Card suddenly emerged from the back of my hand. It tingled as the partially glowing card caused my skin to ripple as it passed through it--now I was anxious because I actually had one…Someone must have put it inside me while I was unconscious, when I came to this world…What else has been changed inside me.

Fear surged through me.

It took me a few seconds to notice that the Knight was silent for a few seconds, “Is something wrong?”

“...No sir, it’s just,” He paused and looked closely at my face, “You have a last name…”

He cleared his throat, “My apologies--well, you are a free man, so that’s fine.”

The Knight went back into the building.

Since my Intelligence Card was still floating, I looked at it.

Alex Conner: Male, 17 years old, Villager -- Free

It’s probably unusual for someone who isn’t a noble to have a family name.

“What did he check?” I asked Bikka, who was sitting in front of me--his Intelligence Card still floating above his hand.

“Hmm? Oh, he was making sure that you didn’t have a Thief Class--or any of the Advanced Classes related to Thief, like Bandit, Pirate…etc.”

I freeze up for a second at his words, because, I do have the Thief Class. But the Intelligence Card only displayed Villager. Maybe your first class is your main Class?

Well, it seems I will need to keep Villager in the first slot for now--even if I could move Hero there…I wouldn’t want people to see it.

“Ahh, I see--thanks.”

It seems that the Intelligence Card can’t be separated from my hand, even if a pulled at it. But, when I pushed on it, it disappeared back into my skin with that strange tingle and rippling of my skin.

Bikka grinned at me, pushing his in at the same time as well.

“The Thieves’ cards are being checked inside. We will know the results soon.”

“How did we get the cards?”

I wasn’t there when the village chief got the Intelligence Cards.

“Well, thirty minutes after someone dies, it comes out on its own.”

“I see. Thanks for explaining.”

Bikka nodded, his eyes going back to the building.

A woman soon comes out of the building.

Name: Radia Maxi Nantes Gozzeru

Age: 21

Sex: Female

Class: Knight

Level: 17

Her level doesn’t seem high, but her equipment looks impressive and her name is complicated.

She is likely a noble.

She is really beautiful, with shoulder-length black hair and a well defined body--which is noticeable even though she is wearing armour, judging by her breastplate…and the fact that female soldiers usually tied tight bandages around their chest; she would be pretty well endowed, not too large.

“Are you the one who defeated the Thieves?” She looks at me with curious eyes, seeming either to not notice, or care about, my rather obvious looking her over.

Though, when I gave her an apologetic expression--she responded with a tiny smile.

“Yes,”

“They are a rather famous band of thieves that control the slums here in Vale. Some of them probably went out to plunder the surrounding villages; we are currently preparing the bounty money for you.”

As she is speaking, the level 4 knight comes out of the headquarters. He salutes the female knight, giving her a white, cloth, bag.

“Well, here is the bounty.” She tosses the bag to me.

“Thanks.” I easily caught the bag.

“You should leave quickly.” She meets my eyes, like she is trying to warn me about something, before nodding once more, and hurries back to the headquarters.

Oh?

Is that all?

It’s a pity, since she is quite the beauty, I should have at least told her my name.

Bikka thanks her as well, and we leave.

I am curious as to why she gave that last look, it looked like a warning--she rushed back into the building; there didn’t seem to be any anger, or annoyance in her expression.

I couldn’t help but feel curious.

***

“So, are we going to the weapon shop next?” I ask Bikka.

“Yes.” He replies, not taking his eyes off the road, making sure that he doesn’t accidentally hit any bystanders.

He guides the wagon forwards.

I put the bounty money into my ring, without counting it--though I am curious if the 10% was applied. I just feel tired, it’s been a long day.

After a few minutes of travel, we arrive at a shop with a wooden board adorned with the image of a sword hanging above the door. I am certain that this is the weapons shop.

Sitting on full display, in the center of a large window, was a massive two-handed sword--it seems to be the centerpiece of the store, and it has three skills: X2 Intelligence, Flame Sword, Purification.

It’s design looks incredible, a two-meter tall sword with a shining silver blade--strange symbols seem to be inscribed into it.

It has three skills, so it must be a pretty good sword.

The wagon stops and I get off.

A man opens the door and approaches us, he is wearing a uniform with the symbol that matches the sword drawn on the wooden board.

Weapon Merchant - Lv21

There seems to be a Weapon Merchant Class as well; I wonder how many Classes there are in total.

“Greetings.” Bikka says to the man.

“Welcome, what can I do for you?”

“I want to sell some swords.” I say, since I had spoken to Bikka about selling the swords--walking around the wagon, I lead the man over to the back, showing him the swords sitting on the wooden wagon bed.

Soul of the weapon, unleash your power, Weapon Judgement!” The Weapon Merchant looks at one of the copper swords and mutters.

I was surprised that an Intelligence Card came out of the sword--it looks like it is a Weapon Appraisal Skill.

When I see Information, like what seems to be written on Intelligence Cards--I see it as floating, semi-transparent, window. It is like a personalized Intelligence Card reader.

“So, how much is it?” I ask him.

“18 copper swords, 250 copper coins each. One iron sword, 10 silver coins. One Scimitar, 5 silver.” The Weapon Merchant says.

Yes, I showed him my iron sword, since I was thinking of using the Scimitar--I used slashing attacks, which scimitars are more specialized in.

“I understand. I will keep the Scimitar--I would like to sell the other swords.”

I detach the iron sword and sheath from my belt, and keep the sheathed scimitar instead.

“Thank you very much. That will be 60 Silvers, and 50 Coppers.” He spoke with a business smile.

“That will be great, thank you.”

The Weapon Merchant goes back into the shop, and then soon returns with a cloth bag, he counts the coins out to me.

I accept the coins, moving as to place them into my rucksack, storing them in my ring.

With that over with, we go to the Armour Shop, which is quite close to the Weapon Shop.

“The Thieves had nothing else, so after you sell your stuff at the Armour Shop--we will part ways.” Bikka said with a grin.

“Alright, thank you for all your help.” I smiled back.

“Ahh, it’s you who helped us, thank you again for saving the village.”

I’m still a little sad that Tirihi didn’t come along--but she was just rewarding me, so it didn’t mean anything to her…

I shook my head, clearing it.

After I got 2 gold for the armour, Bikka and I parted ways.

I walked into the shop, to get some armour for myself, a set of leather armour and leather boots, it only cost 20 copper.
