Special Years

Chapter 7 - Day 1

Tossing and turning in the dark, turning around, dawdling until the east turned pale before falling asleep, and it took an unknown amount of time before being woken up by the loud voice of the password.

Majestic suddenly opened his eyes, and the first thing he saw was the top of a white military mosquito net.

Sitting up and looking around, he finally saw this large row house that could accommodate dozens of people.

In fact, this is a large rectangular row house. Every six double beds in the room are grouped together. There are six sets of beds in the room, which are neatly arranged in the south of the row house, and the north is a row of old-fashioned green wood. The cabinets were neatly placed with the army-specific green jars and toothpaste toothbrushes, and the towels were neatly hung on a wire on the side of the bed.

The floor was made of cement, and it was spotlessly swept. The brick walls were covered with a layer of white double-flying powder. The surface looked new, but in reality it was very simple.

What caught my eye, except for the white sheets and towels, was green—the bed frame was green, the cabinet was green, the clothes were green, the cups were green… Even the bowl for brushing teeth was green.

Sitting up solemnly, feeling the brand-new quilt, he was a little dazed.

Only ten short hours have passed, and his life has undergone earth-shaking changes. The rapid changes in the environment have made his thinking feel unconnected—this time… Is he really a soldier?

Thinking of staying in the army for three years, a vague regret quickly grew.

If he didn’t believe his father Zhuang Zhenguo’s nonsense, maybe he wouldn’t have been trapped in this quick reaction force.

What the **** is the rapid response force, this broken house… this broken bed…

There seemed to be some liveliness outside the row room, so solemnly got up, put on winter training clothes, and walked towards the door with his Jiefang shoes and rubbing his eyes.

When he went out, the cold wind entered his collar, and Zhuang Yan couldn’t help shrinking his head.

This is a military barracks built beside a mountain. The layout is too simple. The style and structure of the barracks are completely in the style of the 1960s.

The road and the camp are only separated by a row of sparse gullies. Occasionally, cars can be seen speeding by on the road.

A row of bungalow-style houses are scattered at the foot of the mountain. Except for the two basketball courts, the rest are all mud. The barracks where I was located was located next to the basketball court, facing the road, and occasionally I saw cars whizzing by.

The recruits who arrived earlier than Zhuang Yan were doing some basic military posture training. A fifth squad leader, Niu Dali, with two yellow bars, one thick and one thin, was explaining some basic essentials: “Put your chest up, keep your belly in, both shoulders. Pull back slightly, clamp your legs, keep your fingers close together, align your **** with the seam of your trousers, keep your head straight and your neck straight…”

The recruit named Serenity seemed to be among them. Seeing the solemnity, Serenity standing in the queue threw a look at him and winked.

Zhuang Yan noticed a small man with a red card and a military rank, vaguely the red vest from last night. He placed a small bench by the side of the court and didn’t sit there. Small stones on the ground.

The little man also saw the solemnity and beckoned to him. A row of white and neat teeth appeared under the stubble of his shaved beard.

“come over!”

The little officer beckoned to him.

Zhuang Yan quickly trotted over.

The first time I met the little man, Zhuang Yan seemed a little overwhelmed.

Standing in front of the little man, he tried his best to be respectful and obedient.

The little man didn’t seem to care about this at all. He took out a roster from his pocket and asked, “Solemn? From Binhai City, Nanyue?”

Nodding solemnly, it was an answer.

The little man put away the roster and said, “Strictly speaking, you are already half a soldier. According to the regulations of our army, the lower level will answer the question of the higher level. If you want to make a report, understand?”

solemnly said: “Report…”

The little man said, “I’m the platoon leader. My name is Dedeham. I’m the platoon leader of your recruit’s second platoon. From now on, you can call me the platoon leader.”

Said solemnly, “Report to the platoon leader, I understand!”

“Put my shoes on! It’s so dreadful, what does it look like! Soldiers have to look like soldiers!” While reprimanded, Dedham turned his attention to the solemn shoes.

Zhuang Yan quickly put on his shoes.

Dedeham said, “I’ll give you a brief history of our unit first. You must remember what kind of heroic unit our unit is…”

Solemnly recalled the glorious history of the troops that Li Ding had mentioned on the truck no less than a dozen times last night, the only fast-reaction troops in the G military region, the heroic troops in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, and the current head of the Central Military Commission used to be there. Which company was a soldier and so on…

He didn’t want to listen to this kind of verbiage like a Tang monk reciting scriptures again, so he interrupted Dedeham directly: “Platoon Commander, I know what kind of unit our unit is.”

Dedeham may be the first time he sees a new recruit and this is the reaction.

Each of the recruits who came before, honestly listened to their retelling of the glorious history, and then nodded their heads like chickens pecking at rice, showing incomparable admiration. UU reading www.uukanshu.com

This soldier is a bit interesting!

No wonder Lieutenant Commander Li personally designated him to be placed in his platoon.

Dai Dehan is the most arrogant platoon leader of the Eighth Company. Of course, to be arrogant in a terrific unit requires terrific capital.

Dudeham has this capital.

“What do you think.”

He looked at Majestic with a smile, raised his chin and motioned for him to continue.

Zhuang Yan repeated all the glorious history of the first division that he heard from Li Ding without missing a word.

The more Dedham listened, the more satisfied he became. He liked this kind of arrogant soldier, at least this, his appetite.

“Yes, yes, where did you hear it, kid?”

He replied solemnly, “Last night in the car, I heard what the commander of the troops said.”

Dedeham said: “I have a good memory. It was Deputy Company Commander Li who brought you here last night. He designated you to be placed in our second row. I was not very willing, but now it seems that he gave me a good one. Soldiers.”

While talking, he started pacing back and forth again, and suddenly stopped and said: “Since you have come to be a soldier, you should be good, don’t think about it, I am also from Nanyue, you can work hard in the future, and you can also be like me. What.”

Zhuang Yan secretly murmured in his heart, what kind of officer is the ghost willing to be, and I have only been here for three years…

But he was very surprised to hear that Dai Dehan was also from Nanyue. He suddenly understood why Dai Dehan’s face became so ugly last night when the squad leaders were talking about “Not all Nanyue people are scumbags”.

“Elder Paixiang.” He stretched out his hand and took out the bag of Hongta Mountain from his pocket, and skillfully pulled out one of his hands and handed it over, “I have something I want to ask you.”

Dadehan was stunned for a moment, then turned to see Zhuang Yan’s face that smiled like a chrysanthemum.
