Starting by Getting a Wife? It Turns Out She Is a Skilled Assassin

Chapter 415

Chapter 415: The Grand Priestess’s Summoning Ritual!

Hope suddenly burst forth in Fei Yan’s eyes.

But then she hesitated, her mind racing.

The Moon Goddess, having grown up with her, naturally understood her concerns.

“While the magic sword might have the potential to kill the Chiyou Demon Spirit, what if… what if its evil influence affects him?”

The “him” she referred to was, of course, Li Mo.

Given Li Mo’s current displayed strength, he might be unmatched in this world.

If he were to wield the magic sword and fall under its influence, there wouldn’t even be anyone left capable of stopping him.

Fei Yan understood Li Mo’s character well.

He would never accept becoming that kind of being.

The Grand Priestess replied calmly, “I have a way to temporarily suppress the magic sword’s malice.”

Upon hearing this, the group lit up with expressions of joy.

“Really?”

Fei Yan, not fully convinced, fixed her gaze intently on her, trying to discern the truth behind the Grand Priestess’s words.

The Grand Priestess met her gaze with earnestness, “If I deceive you, I shall suffer a thousand cuts.”

Fei Yan remained silent for a moment before finally nodding, “Fine, if you dare to deceive me, I will ensure that everyone in Loulan pays the price.”

It wasn’t surprising that she would say such ruthless words.

What if the Grand Priestess said this just to calm her down, intending for Li Mo to use the sword against Chiyou?

The Grand Priestess knew well the importance of Li Mo to Fei Yan and took her words seriously.

“Rest assured, I would never joke about the safety of the Lord of the Divine.”

Fei Yan stopped with the unnecessary chatter and succinctly asked, “So what do we need to do to summon the magic sword?”

The Grand Priestess looked out over the Temple Ruins and slowly stated, “You just need to bring me to the Bronze Door at the temple; the rest I will handle.”

The battle at the ruins had escalated to a fever pitch.

The residual power from their conflict was enough to send ordinary folks to their graves.

Forget even crossing over to their battleground to enter the underground cave; merely getting close felt like tempting death.

“Senior Sister, I’ll go with you,” the Moon Goddess suddenly stepped forward.

With Fei Yan’s strength, she might go in alone,

But trying to drag a weak Grand Priestess along would be quite tricky.

Without hesitation, Fei Yan and the Moon Goddess escorted the Grand Priestess towards the Temple Ruins.

Every second wasted increased Li Mo’s danger.

Since he began battling the Chiyou Demon Spirit, though he hadn’t been hurt, his energy consumption was immense.

The temple had turned into ruins a month ago.

Now, following such a catastrophe, the remnants had nearly been reduced to dust.

And the underground entrance, already buried in yellow sand, was situated right in the temple’s center.

The Grand Priestess could only instinctively move towards the entrance.

Fei Yan and the Moon Goddess exerted their full might to protect her.

A curtain of Dragon’s Energy enveloped them, blocking all the tumult from the ongoing battle.

Amidst the Thunder Sea, Li Mo immediately noticed the three approaching.

Before he could question, the Chiyou Demon Spirit too caught sight of them.

“Ants, dare you come here?”

A massive arm, as if a pillar reaching the heavens, stretched out from its body, attempting to grab the three on the ground.

Seeing this, Fei Yan promptly withdrew her protection from the Grand Priestess, forming hand seals with her fingers.

A golden crow materialized from the Dragon’s Energy, trailing strands of lightning, and let out a cry as it soared into the sky.

“Firefly Light!”

The Chiyou Demon Spirit ignored her attack completely; its giant hand’s descent only sped up, not slowed!

The golden crow quickly met that giant hand in mid-air.

The combination of Dragon’s Energy and Thunder Power created a hole in the hand as if melting ice.

Yet, in the blink of an eye, dark energies swarmed in to fill the wound, restoring the injury at an alarming rate!

Fei Yan’s expression shifted; only then did she understand how immensely challenging it was for Li Mo to endure such a prolonged battle with the Chiyou Demon Spirit.

Though the Yin-Yang School’s martial arts were formidable, they relied on hand seals.

Even though Fei Yan was executing her seals swiftly, the giant hand would strike before she could complete her next one.

In a dire moment, Li Mo raised a hand and slashed down at the void.

A flash of blue light passed, severing the black giant hand at the shoulder.

“I’ll hold it off; you all keep going.”

He appeared like a bolt of lightning before the three,

His speed quick as thunder, leaving the weak Grand Priestess unable to catch a glimpse of his brilliance;

All she noticed was a shadow flitting past, and when she looked again, Li Mo was already leaping into the air, casting a firm silhouette in her sight.

“Hurry up!”

Fei Yan remained calm in the crisis, fully aware of the seriousness of the moment.

Now was not the time to hesitate; Li Mo was buying them precious seconds that shouldn’t be wasted.

The Grand Priestess focused her mind, yet that striking silhouette lingered in her thoughts.

“There!”

Finally, using what little debris remained, the Grand Priestess located the underground entrance.

Fei Yan soared ahead—the previously marked cave entrance had already been completely buried in yellow sand.

But this was no trouble for her, a miraculous woman of the Yin-Yang School.

Ten slender fingers danced like spring bamboo shoots, forming mesmerizing hand seals at a rapid pace.

“Open!”

With her commanding shout, the yellow sand parted like flowing water to either side.

Soon, an underground entrance emerged.

As the East Lord of the Yin-Yang School, the earth-based techniques were second nature to her.

With the hole exposed, the three exchanged a quick glance at Li Mo before leaping into the cave without hesitation.

Inside the cave, a golden light shone like a candle flame in the dark.

They looked towards its source and found it was the Imperial Seal Li Mo had previously thrown in to ward off the wandering spirits!

The light emitted from the seal seemed to form an invisible barrier before the Bronze Door.

Behind the door, countless wandering spirits were cramped together, eagerly attempting to leap into the outside world but not daring to take a single step.

“Hurry up!”

Fei Yan’s eyebrows were tightly knit as she urged them on.

The Grand Priestess, understanding the urgency, hurried to the Bronze Door, drawing her staff to inscribe on the ground.

In no time, a rune about three feet wide took form.

The Grand Priestess set down her staff, knelt before the rune,

And reaching to her waist, she drew a short sword.

She extended her left hand, exposing her fair wrist.

With a flash of cold light, fresh red blood spilled from her wrist, landing squarely on the rune.

Strangely, despite the dirt-ridden ground, the blood remained wet and did not dry up.
