Succubated!

Greetings, faithful of Succubated!—those of you who've read through many long chapters to get here in time for a "what comes next" poll and to find out what's happening with writing this demonic epic during the summer. Along with a bonus image (depicting Una near the start of Chapter Nine) we have several pieces of news:

😤 News: fresh new chapters to come! We're almost through the previously drafted chapters of Volume 2 (Unhallowed!) and although we're revising and fine-tuning each chapter before it's posted, soon we'll also be drafting new chapters. That's exciting in part because we can take suggestions on what you'd like to see next (check out the poll below)

😩News: 1-star ratings? Succubated has gained a lot of new readers recently... but maybe some of them stumbled in by mistake? We've earned a couple "one star with no explanation" ratings. Although most long series have a couple of these, we still have to wonder: is it the gender-bending smut? The varied genders of sex partners? The co-writing with AI? Or something else? If you don't like what's on the label, definitely don't read it! Anyway, if you actually like this series haven't already given your own rating, why not put your own honest vote in? :D

🤩News: New artificial intelligence model! As you hopefully know, the creation of Succubated involves a human author (RiderEmma) piloting AI large language models—very much not ChatGPT, which is hard to co-write with, produces kind of boring samey stuff, and censors itself from writing smut. Instead, we write back-and-forth with NovelAI models, the human and the machine each contributing about half of the words in a draft. A new, bigger AI model is due to be released soon, likely in the coming weeks of summer, so you'll get to see the results in the upcoming chapters. What will it be like? Who knows, but the engineers working on it have released some previews—this one is a sci-fi story on a generation ship. (Yellow and blue text written by human; Succubated tends to have a lot more of those colors.)

And now for A Poll about Plot Threads! As Volume 2 got underway and we sorted through the literal and narrative debris of the conflict between Thomas Spencer and Una, we noticed there's a lot going on. We have plans to address some plot threads more imminently than others (what's going on with that divine golden liquid oozing out of Susan and burning Una's flesh?!) but we'd love to know what you're feeling the most curious about... it just might influence which areas and characters are revisited sooner! (How long "sooner" ends up being depends very much on the particular plot thread... some go further afield than others!)
