Chapter 22 - A C-list Celebrity

Chapter 22: A C-list Celebrity

Translator: Guy Gone Bad

Three years later in A City

In a neither too big nor too small house in the downtown laid a huge couch which Jian Rushi liked most. She was applying a facial mask, so she could stay shining all day.

Now she lived on her face, so she had to cherish it.

Compared with being some other’s mistress, now she was living decently at least. She became a C-list celebrity under Tang Ge’s push.

As the agent, Tang Ge inherited the talent from her family. Actually they only tried to scrape a living. They didn’t mean to stay in the entertainment circle or became quite famous, after all it was too complicated.

Jian Rushi lied on the couch and recalled those good old days, suddenly her phone rang.

It was Tang Ge. She picked it up and heard a man’s threatening voice,

“Tang Ge is now in box 688 of Nightlife Club. You come and I’ll let her go.”

Tang Ge cried, “Don’t you come!”

“Wait for me!” She cried and immediately hung up. She drove on the road like crazy and arrived at Nightlife Club in less than twenty minutes.

The waiter showed her inside.

At this time, someone pushed the door of room 888 open, making a call. With a random glance, he could never move his eyes off her.

But Jian Rushi didn’t notice that someone was having an eye on her. She rushed into room 688, finding a nearly naked stripper was dancing there.

Everyone went quiet on seeing her. And the man sitting on the couch yelled, “Keep dancing!”

Jian Rushi looked inside. There were over ten men in this room, while Tang Ge was sitting in a corner of a small couch, with two tall and strong bodyguards in black behind her.

Those men were drooling about Jian Rushi’s fairy skin, beautiful face and long legs.

Their head was called Zhao Yan, son of the mayor of A City, a womanizer everybody knew in this circle. He preferred women with big boobs, slim waist and long legs.

And Jian Rushi happened to meet every standard of him. So he began to go after her, but Jian Rushi turned him down.

He didn’t push her. He was not interested in those easy hookers. But half a year’s time had really worn out all his patience.

Today Tang Ge went to talk about the contract with a director who happened to Zhao Yan’s friend. After a few drinks, Zhao Yan became bold and asked his people to kidnap Tang Ge to force Jian Rushi to give in.

Standing at the door, Jian Rushi took a deep breath and asked, “On what condition will you release her?”

Someone in the crowd shouted, “As long as you stay to have some fun with Mr. Zhao, we’ll let her go.”

“If you can make Mr. Zhao happy tonight, maybe tomorrow he is going to buy you a Lamborghini. Isn’t it better than being a C-list star?”

Those assholes derided and taunted.

Jian Rushi tried to restrain her anger with her fists clenched tight, then said lightly, “Let her go. We can talk.”

Zhao Yan waved his hand and then Tang Ge got up and walked toward Jian Rushi. They had an eye contact. Jian Rushi nodded slightly, with something complicated in her eyes.

Tang Ge knew those people, so when she passed over Jian, she whispered, “Those men have pedophilia. They have just tortured a little girl.” Speaking of which, she went out and closed the door.

Her words made Jian Rushi chill. The raging fire was burning in her eyes.

Zhao Yan brooked no delay. He meant to do it here. So he stood up and cornered Jian Rushi, with grim smile on that ugly face, “Sweetheart!”
